Emission Mechanism of Doubly ortho-Linked Quinoxaline/Diphenylfluorene or cis-Stilbene/Fluorene Hybrid Compounds Based on the Transient Absorption and Emission Measurements during Pulse Radiolysis

Red, green, and blue radio-luminescent polymer dots doped with heteroleptic tris-cyclometalated iridium complexes

In this study, we synthesized radioexcitable luminescent polymer dots (P-dots) doped with heteroleptic tris-cyclometalated iridium complexes that emit red, green, and blue light. We investigated the luminescence properties of these P-dots under X-ray and electron beam irradiation, revealing their potential as new organic scintillators.

Synthesis and characterization of a triphenylamine-dibenzosuberenone-based conjugated organic material and an investigation of its photovoltaic properties

3,7-Bis[4-(diphenylamino)phenyl]-5 H-dibenzo[ a,d][7]annulen-5-one, containing triphenylamine- and dibenzosuberenone-based donor-acceptor-donor (D-A-D) conjugated moieties, is synthesized in high yield by Suzuki coupling of 5 H-dibenzo[ a,d][7]annulen-5-one with [4-(diphenylamino)phenyl]boronic acid. The most important part of the present study is the creation of a dye-sensitized solar cell structure using the synthesized organic molecule for the first time and the power conversion efficiency of this structure. Three solar cell devices are prepared and are named as first device, second device, and third device. The power conversion efficiency (%) value for first device, second device, and third device is calculated as 2.54, 2.38, and 2.54, respectively. Moreover, the chemical structure of the synthesized compound is determined by nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared, ultraviolet visible, fluorescence spectroscopy, and high-resolution mass spectrometry.

Spirally Configured ( cis-Stilbene) Trimers: Steady-State and Time-Resolved Photophysical Studies and Organic Light-Emitting Diode Applications

This article reports for the time-resolved photophysical studies of spirally configured ( cis-stilbene) trimers and their spin-coated organic light-emitting diode (OLED) device performances. Transient absorption profiles of spirally configured, ter-( cis-stilbene) were studied by pulse radiolysis. The emission profiles after charge recombination of their incipient radical ions in benzene provides insights into the emission mechanism and efficiency in OLED devices. Blue-, sky blue-, and green-emitting OLED devices for a maximum external quantum efficiency are 4.32%, 4.70%, and 2.77%, respectively, by solution process.

Indolizino[5,6-b]quinoxaline Derivatives: Intramolecular Charge Transfer Characters and NIR Fluorescence

Indolizino[5,6-b]quinoxaline derivatives (1 a and 1 b) with a push-pull structure were prepared to show intramolecular charge-transfer properties. Compounds 1 a and 1 b are strongly fluorescent in aprotic solvents while symmetrical derivatives (2 a and 2 b) were non-fluorescent. The π-expanded α-α linked dimer (10) of indolizino[5,6-b]quinoxaline 1 b was serendipitously obtained to show NIR absorption over 800 nm and the fluorescence edge reached to 1400 nm.
