Abstract
Fused coumarins, because of their remarkable biological and therapeutic properties, particularly pyranocoumarins, have caught the interest of synthetic organic chemists, leading to the development of more efficient and environmentally friendly protocols for synthesizing pyranocoumarin derivatives. These compounds are the most promising heterocycles discovered in both natural and synthetic sources, with anti-inflammatory, anti-HIV, antitubercular, antihyperglycemic, and antibacterial properties. This review employed the leading scientific databases Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and PubMed up to the end of 2022, as well as the combining terms pyranocoumarins, synthesis, isolation, structural elucidation, and biological activity. Among the catalysts employed, acidic magnetic nanocatalysts, transition metal catalysts, and carbon-based catalysts have all demonstrated improved reaction yields and facilitated reactions under milder conditions. Herein, the present review discusses the various multicomponent synthetic strategies for pyranocoumarins catalyzed by transition metal-based catalysts, transition metal-based nanocatalysts, transition metal-free catalysts, carbon-based nanocatalysts, and their potential pharmacological activities.

Abstract
An intermolecular direct α-C-H acylation of alkenes was revealed by the visible-light-mediated N-heterocyclic carbene and quinuclidine catalysis. This convenient protocol provides a facile synthesis toward novel natural products and drug derivatives of α-substituted vinyl ketones. Mechanistic investigations indicated that the transformation proceeded via sequential radical addition, radical coupling, and an elimination process.

Abstract
We describe a gold (I)-catalyzed tandem O-nucleophilic addition/[3,3]-rearrangement reaction of N-hydroxybenzo[1,2,3]-triazin-4(3H)-ones with alkynes enabled by a biphenyl-2-yl phosphine ligand featuring a pendant amide moiety (L1). A variety of 1-(2-oxo-2-arylethyl)benzo [d][1,2,3]triazin-4(1H)-one derivatives were synthesized in good to excellent yields. The present protocol gives a rare example of simultaneous formation of C-O and C-N bonds in the gold(I)-catalyzed [3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangements.

Abstract
Diminution of oxidative stress-mediated diseases is an essential pharmaceutical objective in modern biomedical research. The present work stresses upon the efficient and eco-friendly synthesis of an array of novel diversely functionalized pyrrole derivatives which are found to be antioxidants with reactive oxygen species (ROS) shielding competency against the deleterious consequence of oxidative stress. The results of the investigation displayed the effect of structural modification of the pyrrole derivatives on their respective antioxidant properties to various ROS. Noteworthy, the pyrrole moiety bearing 4-hydroxycoumarin or 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone as substituent showed outstanding defensive potency towards OH and O2- while, nitrogen atom linked with aliphatic side-chain in the pyrrole scaffold made a strong affirmative impression in DPPH scavenging assay. More interestingly, an influencing reducing power was observed in pyrrole derivatives carrying cyclohexane 1,3-dione as one of the substituents. To have a comprehensive acuteness into the antioxidant capacity of the synthesized pyrrole derivatives against Trolox as a standard antioxidant, a crucial approach was taken into account by calculating TEAC (Trolox Equivalent Antioxidant Capacity) in case of OH and DPPH scavenging activity.

Abstract
Pyrano- and dipyranocoumarins are classes of naturally occurring organic compounds with very interesting biological activities. This review focuses on the synthetic strategies for the synthesis of pyranocoumarins and dipyranocoumarins and the biological properties of those compounds. The synthesis involves the formation of the pyran ring, at first, from a coumarin or the formation of pyranone moiety from an existing pyran. Pyranocoumarins and dipyranocoumarins present anti-HIV, anti-cancer, neuroprotective, antidiabetic, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory activities. Especially khellactones and calanolides are usually potent and selective in anti-HIV activity. Decursin and decursinol derivatives are effective as anticancer, neuroprotective, antidiabetic, antibacterial, and antifungal agents.

Abstract
A highly chemo- and regioselective [4 + 2] formal cycloaddition of (Z)-3-iodo allylic nucleophiles and allenamides catalyzed by palladium is reported. The methodology proceeds under mild reaction conditions and is tolerant of alkyl and aryl functional groups. The SN2' substitution at the proximal C[double bond, length as m-dash]C bond performed against the Heck or SN2 pathway delivered a variety of 2-amino-dihydropyrans and 2-amino-tetrahydropiperidines in moderate to satisfactory yields. The [4 + 2] formal cycloaddition derivatives are convertible to interesting scaffolds 2,6,7,7a-tetrahydropyrano[2,3-b]pyrrole and 2,6,7,7a-tetrahydro-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine derivatives via ring-closing metathesis (RCM) with Grubbs catalyst II.

Abstract
A novel, efficient and one-pot multi-component procedure for the synthesis of simple pyrano[3,2-c]chromen-5(4H)-ones or pyrazolyl pyrano[3,2-c]chromen-5(4H)-ones via reaction of aryl aldehydes, acetophenones and 4-hydroxycoumarin promoted by amino glucose-functionalized silica-coated NiFe2O4 nanoparticles under solvent-free conditions without using any other harmful organic reagents was reported. The structure of this nanoparticle was characterized by transmission electron microscopies, X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopies. The catalyst could easily be separated from the reaction mixture by using an external magnetic field and it was reusable. The high purity of the desired products, eco-friendliness, short reaction time and easy workup procedure can be mentioned as the other advantages of this method. We have developed NiFe2O4@SiO2@glucose amine as a new, mild and efficient avenue for the synthesis of pyrano[3,2-c]chromen-5(4H)-ones.![]()

Abstract
Abstract Keeping in view the recent success of molecular hybridization technique in drug design, 2,4-diarylpyrano[3,2-c]chromen-5(4H)-ones as conjugates of coumarins and chalcones have been designed and synthesized in the present study. The catalytic efficiency of various Lewis acids for the synthesis of designed conjugates under neat conditions was investigated, and SiO2 (200-400 mesh)-ZnCl2 was optimized as the best catalyst among the tested ones. The conjugates were evaluated for in-vitro xanthine oxidase activity. The results of the in-vitro assay were quite promising as some conjugates were endowed with remarkable inhibitory potential against the enzyme. HV-8, 11 and 12 were found to be high-potent inhibitors with HV-11 (the most potent inhibitor) possessing an IC50 value of 2.21 µM. The most active conjugate HV-11 was evaluated for the type of inhibition and was found to be a mixed type inhibitor. The compliance of some selected conjugates to the Lipinski rule was also calculated.
