Abstract
Arynes hold significance for the efficient fusion of (hetero) arenes with diverse substrates, advancing the construction of complex molecular frameworks. Employing multiple equivalents of arynes is particularly effective in the rapid formation of polycyclic cores found in optoelectronic materials and bioactive compounds. However, the inherent reactivity of arynes often leads to side reactions, yielding unanticipated products and underlining the importance of a detailed investigation into the use of multiple arynes to fine-tune their reactivity. This review centers on methodologies and syntheses in organic reactions involving multiple arynes, categorizing based on mechanisms like cycloadditions, σ-bond insertions, nucleophilic additions, and ene reactions, and discusses aryne polymerization. The categorization based on these mechanisms includes two primary approaches: the first entails multiple aryne engagement within a single step while the second approach involves using a single equivalent of aryne sequentially across multiple steps, with both requiring strict reactivity control to ensure precise aryne participation in each respective step. Additionally, the review provides an in-depth analysis of the selection of aryne precursors, organized chronologically and by activation strategy, offering a comprehensive background that supports the main theme of multiple aryne utilization. The expectation remains that this comprehensive review will be invaluable in designing advanced syntheses engaging multiple arynes.

Abstract
An unprecedented fused hexacyclic indolizine derivative generated by a single-pot reaction has been developed. This model overcomes the use of catalysts, inefficient atom economy, low yields, and limitations of lengthy steps. Density functional theory calculations reveal the reaction mechanism in which the oxygen molecule plays a crucial role in trapping the penultimate zwitterionic or biradical intermediate to generate the observed products.

Abstract
A novel convenient 2-step synthesis of substituted pyrido[1,2-a]indoles is developed starting from easily available pyrylium tetrafluoroborates and ortho-bromoanilines. A conversion of the pyrylium tetrafluoroborates to pyridinium ones followed by their palladium catalyzed intramolecular cyclization allows the formation of 24 examples of N-fused heterocycles. A one-pot two-stage cyclization procedure was developed. The utility of the methodology was demonstrated with the synthesis of new pyrido[1,2-a]indoles bearing different alkyl, aryl, chlorine, fluorine and methoxy substituents.

Abstract
CONTEXT The combined use of transition metal-catalyzed C-H activation with aryne annulation reactions has emerged as an important strategy in organic synthesis. In this study, the mechanisms of the palladium(II)-catalyzed annulation reaction of N-methoxy amides and arynes were computationally investigated by density functional theory. The role of methoxy amide as a directing group was elucidated through the calculation of three different pathways for the C-H activation step, showing that the pathway where amide nitrogen acts as a directing group is preferable. At the reductive elimination transition state, an unstable seven-membered ring is formed preventing the lactam formation. A substituent effect study based on an NBO analysis, Hammet, and using a More O'Ferall-Jenks plot indicates that the C-H activation step proceeds via an electrophilic concerted metalation-deprotonation (eCMD) mechanism. The results show that electron-withdrawing groups increase the activation barrier and contribute to an early Pd-C bond formation and a late C-H bond breaking when compared with electron-donating substituents. Our computational results are in agreement with the experimental data provided in the literature. METHODS All calculations were performed using Gaussian 16 software. Geometry optimizations, frequency analyses at 393.15 K, and IRC calculations were conducted at the M06L/Def2-SVP level of theory. Corrected electronic energies, NBO charges, and Wiberg bond indexes were computed at the M06L/Def2-TZVP//M06L/Def2-SVP level of theory. Implicit solvent effects were considered in all calculations using the SMD model, with acetonitrile employed as the solvent.

Abstract
A convenient and efficient visible-light-induced method has been developed for the construction of sulfonated and selenylated indolo[1,2-a]quinolines through sulfonyl or selenyl radical-initiated tandem cyclization of unactivated alkynes with sodium sulfinates or diaryl diselenides under mild conditions. This protocol, which simply utilizes visible light as the safe and eco-friendly energy source and an inexpensive and nontoxic organic dye as a photocatalyst without the aid of an external photocatalyst, provides various sulfonyl- and selenyl-containing indolo[1,2-a]quinolines in moderate to good yields.

Abstract
AbstractIn the pharmaceutical industry, boronic acid and esters play an important role in API-based synthesis. The most efficient way of preparing various active agents is palladium-catalyzed Suzuki–Miyaura borylation reactions. Herein, we report the formation of dimerization product [6,6′-biimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine]-2,2′-dicarboxamide derivatives 7a–j from 6-bromoimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-2-carboxylate by employing the same conditions. A regioselective borylation of ethyl 6-bromoimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-2-carboxylate (3) was examined for the formation of ethyl 6-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-2-carboxylate (4a) but it was found to be directed towards the dimerization product 5. The nitrogen-rich system was incorporated into potential anti-cancer and anti-TB agents through acid amine coupling reactions between acid 6 and various amines (dialkyl/cyclic sec./tert.) to form the final adducts 7. Five derived scaffolds were identified as moderately active in TB activity against the H37Rv strain, while two compounds were found to be particularly potent in NCI-60 anti-cancer screening in nine cancer panels.

Abstract
The vapor deposition of many molybdenum-containing films relies on the delivery of volatile compounds with the general bis(tert-butylimido)molybdenum(VI) framework, both in atomic layer deposition and chemical vapor deposition. We have prepared a series of (tBuN)2MoCl2 adducts using neutral N,N'-chelates and investigated their volatility, thermal stability, and decomposition pathways. Volatility has been determined by thermogravimetric analysis, with the 1,4-di-tert-butyl-1,3-diazabutadiene adduct (5) found to be the most volatile (1 Torr of vapor pressure at 135 °C). Thermal stability was measured primarily using differential scanning calorimetry, and the 1,10-phenanthroline adduct (4) was found to be the most stable with an onset of decomposition of 303 °C. We have also investigated molybdenum compounds with other alkyl-substituted imido groups: these compounds all follow a similar decomposition pathway, γ-H activation, with varying reaction barriers. The tert-pentyl, 1-adamantyl, and a cyclic imido (from 2,5-dimethylhexane-2,5-diamine) were systematically studied to probe the kinetics of this pathway. All of these compounds have been fully characterized, including via single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and a total of 19 new structures are reported.

Abstract
Annulative π-extension (APEX) of 3-substituted indoles to pyrido[1,2-a]indoles is developed by using 4-oxo peroxides as π-extending reagents, which are employed as versatile C4 building blocks. This transformation is initiated by Brønsted acid-mediated Hock rearrangement of the peroxyl group. Notably, the pyrido[1,2-a]indole products are obtained by elimination of the indole moiety from the corresponding dihydropyrido[1,2-a]indoles, which could be selectively formed at room temperature.

Abstract
The high demand for new and efficient routes toward synthesis of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic scaffolds has inspired organic chemists to discover several methodologies over recent years. This Perspective highlights one standout approach, which involves the use of pyridotriazoles and related compounds in denitrogenative transformations. Readily available pyridotriazoles undergo ring-chain isomerization to produce uniquely reactive α-diazoimines. Such reactivity, enabled by metal catalysts, additives, or visible-light irradiation, can be applied in transannulation, insertion, cyclopropanation, and many other transformations.

Abstract
:
Titanium ethoxide has been employed as a novel and efficient reagent for the Knoevenagel
condensation of aldehydes with active methylenes such as diethyl malonate and ethyl cyanoacetate under
solvent free conditions to afford substituted olefins in high to excellent yields. The reaction is suitable
for a variety of aromatic, aliphatic and heteroaromatic aldehydes with various active methylenes.
Parallel to this, microwave irradiation has been utilized to achieve improved reaction rates and enhanced
yields. Herein, we illustrated a convenient method for the preparation of α,β-unsaturated compounds
using both conventional and microwave irradiation methods. An efficient and solvent free
Knoevenagel condensation between aldehydes and active methylenes was developed using titanium
ethoxide. The procedure proved to be successful with a wide range of substrates such as aromatic, aliphatic
and heterocyclic aldehydes and various active methylenes to afford substituted olefins. The reaction
was also carried out under microwave irradiation to accomplish the corresponding olefins with
improved reaction rates, yields and cleaner reaction profiles. We have developed an efficient and novel
methodology for the synthesis of olefinic compounds by Knoevenagel condensation under solvent-free
conditions using titanium ethoxide, for the first time, as a reagent as well as a solvent. This method is
appropriate for the synthesis of a variety of aromatic aldehydes containing various electron-donating
and withdrawing groups, aliphatic and heteroaromatic aldehydes. The significant advantages offered by
this methodology could be applied to various active methylenes in order to offer the corresponding
Knoevenagel products. Thus, we believe that this method delivers high conversions, cleaner reaction
profiles under solvent-free reaction conditions and shorter reaction times, all of which make it a very
useful and attractive approach for the preparation of a wide range of substituted olefins.

Abstract
Benzodithioloimines are reacted with arynes or alkynes substituted with electron-withdrawing groups to afford the corresponding thianthrene or benzo[b][1,4]dithiine derivatives. The transformation takes place under mild reaction conditions without any transition metal. Furthermore, the reaction mode could be expanded to 2-thiocyanatopyrroles yielding pyrrolothiazoles.
