Abstract
Abstract
This paper provides a general overview of palladium complexes incorporating numerous multidentate azo-imine ligands, their structural diversity, synthetic protocol, interesting properties such as redox properties, biological activity and their further application on C – N coupling reactions, C – C cross-coupling reactions (e.g., Suzuki and Heck) and catalytic activity on different organic transformations. A detailed literature survey revealed that no brief review has yet been published on the azo-azomethine-based palladium complex. Therefore, the present review incorporates the research undertaken on the synthetic strategies and coordinating behaviour of various azo-imine ligands with palladium metal centre and a few important properties of metal complexes.

Abstract
A new family of ferrocenyl-palladacycle complexes Pd(L1)Cl (Pd1) and Pd(L2)Cl (Pd2) were synthesized and characterized by UV-visible, IR, ESI-MS, and NMR spectral studies. The molecular structures of Pd1 and Pd2 were determined by X-ray crystallographic studies. Palladacycle catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions were investigated utilizing the derivatives of phenylboronic acids and substituted chlorobenzenes. Mechanistic investigation authenticated the generation of Pd(0) nanoparticles during the catalytic cycle and the nanoparticles were characterized by XPS, SEM and TEM analysis. Direct C-H arylation of thiazole and isoxazole derivatives employing these ferrocenyl-palladacycle complexes was examined. The reaction model for the arylation reaction implicating the in situ generation of Pd(0) nanoparticles was proposed.

Abstract
The SCN ligand 2-{3-[(methylsulfanyl)methyl]phenyl}pyridine, 1, has been synthesized starting from an initial Suzuki-Miyaura (SM) coupling between 3-((hydroxymethyl)phenyl)boronic acid and 2-bromopyridine. The C-H activation of 1 with in situ formed Pd(MeCN)4(BF4)2 has been studied and leads to a mixture of palladacycles, which were characterized by X-ray crystallography. The monomeric palladacycle LPdCl 6, where L-H = 1, has been synthesized, and tested in SM couplings of aryl bromides, where it showed moderate activity. Density functional theory and the atoms in molecules (AIM) method have been used to investigate the formation and bonding of 6, revealing a difference in the nature of the Pd-S and Pd-N bonds. It was found that S-coordination to the metal in the rate determining C-H bond activation step leads to better stabilization of the Pd(II) centre (by 13-28 kJ mol(-1)) than with N-coordination. This is attributed to the electron donating ability of the donor atoms determined by Bader charges. The AIM analysis also revealed that the Pd-N bonds are stronger than the Pd-S bonds influencing the stability of key intermediates in the palladacycle formation reaction pathway.

Abstract
In the title compound, [PdBr(C17H17N2O5)], the PdII atom is coordinated by an N,C1,N′-tridentate pincer ligand and a Br atom in a distorted square-planar geometry. In the crystal, molecules are connected by C—H⋯Br and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and π–π interactions between the oxazole and benzene rings [centroid–centroid distance = 3.7344 (19) Å], resulting in a three-dimensional supramolecular structure.
