Abstract
In recent years, there has been a concerted drive to develop methods that are greener and more sustainable. Being an earth-abundant transition metal, cobalt offers an attractive substitute for commonly employed precious metal catalysts, though reactions engaging cobalt are still less developed. Herein, we report a method to achieve the decarboxylative allylation of nitrophenyl alkanes, nitroalkanes, and ketones employing cobalt. The reaction allows for the formation of various substituted allylated products in moderate-excellent yields with a broad scope. Additionally, the synthetic potential of the methodology is demonstrated by the transformation of products into versatile heterocyclic motifs. Mechanistic studies revealed an in situ activation of the Co(II)/dppBz precatalyst by the carboxylate salt to generate a Co(I)-species, which is presumed to be the active catalyst.

Abstract
Here, we prepared several dipeptides containing 2-aminoindane-2-carboxylic acid (Aic) and carried out further synthetic transformations. Synthesis and purification of modified peptides by using [2+2+2] cyclotrimerization is a challenging task. We are able to modify the unusual amino acids and peptide derivatives by late-stage incorporation of benzylhalo functionality. To incorporate benzylhalo moiety we used [2+2+2] cyclotrimerization in the presence of Mo(CO)6 . These halo derivatives are potential substrates for further modification by Sonogashira reaction, Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling, sultine formation, and the Diels-Alder reaction sequence.

Abstract
Secondary C(sp3 )-H arylations were accomplished by palladium catalysis with triazoles as peptide bond isosteres. The unique power of this approach is highlighted by the possibility of achieving secondary C(sp3 )-H functionalizations on terminal peptides as well as the unprecedented positional-selective C(sp3 )-H functionalization of internal peptide positions, setting the stage for modular peptide late-stage diversification.

Abstract
![]()
A tandem relay catalytic protocol
using both Pd and isothiourea
catalysis has been developed for the enantioselective synthesis
of α-amino acid derivatives containing two stereogenic
centers from readily accessible N,N-disubstituted glycine aryl esters and allylic phosphates. The optimized
process uses a bench-stable succinimide-based Pd precatalyst
(FurCat) to promote Pd-catalyzed allylic ammonium salt generation
from the allylic phosphate and the glycine aryl ester. Subsequent
in situ enantioselective [2,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement catalyzed
by the isothiourea benzotetramisole forms syn-α-amino acid derivatives with high diastereo- and enantioselectivity.
This methodology is most effective using 4-nitrophenylglycine
esters and tolerates a variety of substituted cinnamic and styrenyl
allylic ethyl phosphates. The use of challenging unsymmetrical N-allyl-N-methylglycine esters is also
tolerated under the catalytic relay conditions without compromising
stereoselectivity.
