Abstract
The enantioselective allylic alkylation of nitro ketene aminals with racemic allylic alcohols was realized by iridium/acid dual catalysis. An allyl group was installed on the α-position of nitro ketene aminals in a branched-selective manner in high efficiency with excellent enantioselectivities (93-99% ee). The protocol was applied to the late-stage modification of neonicotinoid insecticides, which directly furnished a novel neonicotinoid analogue with good insecticidal activity against Aphis craccivora (LC50 = 6.40 mg/L). On the basis of the control experiment, an aza-ene-type allylic alkylation reaction mechanism was proposed.

Abstract
The one-pot regioselective and catalytic synthesis of bioactive chromones and flavones was achieved via phosphine-free cyclocarbonylative Sonogashira coupling reactions of 2-iodophenols with aryl alkynes, alkyl alkynes, and dialkynes. The reactions are catalyzed by new dibromidobis(NHC)palladium(II) complexes. The new bridged N,N'-substituted benzimidazolium salts (L1, L2, and L3) and their palladium complexes C1, C2, and C3 were designed, prepared, and fully characterized using different physical and spectroscopic techniques. The molecular structures of complexes C1 and C3 were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. They showed a distorted square planar geometry, where the Pd(II) ion is bonded to the carbon atoms of two cis NHC carbene ligands and two cis bromido anions. These complexes displayed a high catalytic activity in cyclocarbonylative Sonogashira coupling reactions with low catalyst loadings. The regioselectivity of these reactions was controlled by using diethylamine as the base and DMF as the solvent.

Abstract
A new CuI/1,10-phen-catalyzed reaction for the synthesis of 3-ylideneoxindoles from readily available isatins and ethyl isocyanoacetate, in which ethyl isocyanoacetate acts as a latent two-carbon donor like the Wittig reagent, is reported. A tandem procedure including 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition/inverse 1,3-dipolar ring opening/olefination allows the preparation of 3-ylideneoxindoles with broad functional group tolerance.

Abstract
A concise and direct synthetic strategy for the construction of 2-aryliminochromene skeleton by cascade three-component coupling reaction of arynes, N,S-keteneacetals, and DMF in good yields has been disclosed. The process demonstrates the first example of aryne chemistry combined with N,S-keteneacetals. Using this strategy, an expeditious synthesis of biologically important arylimino-2H-chromene-3- carboxamides was achieved.
