Abstract
The enantioselective addition of arylboronic acids to N-heteroaryl ketones provides a convenient access to chiral α-heteroaryl tertiary alcohols, yet addition reactions of this type have been challenging due to catalyst deactivation. In this report, an efficient rhodium-catalyzed addition of arylboronic acids to N-heteroaryl ketones is established, affording a variety of valuable α-heteroaryl alcohols with excellent functional group compatibility. The employment of the WingPhos ligand containing two anthryl groups is crucial for this transformation. In particular, a range of chiral benzoxazolyl-substituted tertiary alcohols were formed with excellent ee values and yields by employing a Rh loading as low as 0.3 mol%, which can serve as a practical protocol to furnish a series of chiral α-hydroxy acids after hydrolysis.

Abstract
A conformationally restricted perhydro-1,3-benzoxazine derived from (-)-8-aminomenthol behaves as a good chiral ligand in the dimethylzinc-mediated enantioselective monoaddition of aromatic and aliphatic terminal alkynes to 1,2-diketones. The corresponding α-hydroxyketones were obtained in good yields with high enantioselectivities starting from both aromatic and aliphatic 1,2-diketones. The alkynylation of unsymmetrical 1,2-diketones with electronically different substituents also proceeds with high regio- and enantioselectivity. This reaction provides a practical method to synthesize ketones bearing a chiral tertiary propargylic alcohol.

Abstract
The enantioselective addition of diethylzinc or dimethylzinc to N-(diphenylphosphinoyl)imines mediated by 1 or 2 could be achieved in high yields (70-97 %) and enantioselectivities (85-98 % ee). The catalytic loading of 1 or 2 a could be reduced to 10 mol % for methylation or ethylation of imines in high yields and enantioselectivities (79-96 %) when the reaction was conducted in the presence of 1.8 equiv of methanol. N-Monosubstituted amino alcohols induced higher enantioselectivity than their N,N-disubstituted congener in our catalytic system.

Abstract
A ruthenium-catalyzed asymmetric arylation of aliphatic aldehydes and α-ketoesters with arylboronic acids has been developed, giving chiral alkyl(aryl)methanols and α-hydroxy esters in good yields. The use of a chiral bidentate phosphoramidite ligand (Me-BIPAM) achieved excellent enantioselectivities.
