Abstract
Chiral cyclopentadienyl-rhodium(III) Cpx Rh(III) catalysis has been demonstrated to be competent for catalyzing highly enantioselective aziridination of challenging unactivated terminal alkenes and nitrene sources. The chiral Cpx Rh(III) catalysis system exhibited outstanding catalytic performance and wide functional group tolerance, yielding synthetically important and highly valuable chiral aziridines with good to excellent yields and enantioselectivities (up to 99 % yield, 93 % ee). This protocol presents a novel and effective strategy for synthesizing enantioenriched aziridines from simple alkenes. Various transformations were performed on the aziridine products, illustrating the versatility and synthetic potential of this protocol for constructing highly functionalized compounds.

Abstract
A short synthetic route to stereoselective access to C-glycosyl-aminoethyl sulfide derivatives has been developed through the reaction of tributhyltin derivatives of glycals with aziridinecarboaldehyde and the regioselective ring opening of a chiral aziridine with thiophenol. The absolute configurations of the resulting diastereoisomers were determined by 1H NMR spectroscopy.

Abstract
We disclose a silver-catalyzed trifluoromethoxylation of N-tosyl aziridines with trifluoromethyl arylsulfonate. The protocol is characterized by its mild conditions, simple operations, and good chemo- and regioselectivity. In addition, the trifluoromethoxylation of trisubstituted aziridines could construct C-OCF3 quaternary centers exclusively, which is quite rare. This method unlocks a new catalytic blueprint for accessing β-trifluoromethoxylated amines, which could be important building blocks in synthetic chemistry.

Abstract
The development of the first intermolecular Rh2(II)-catalyzed aziridination of olefins using anilines as nonactivated N atom precursors and an iodine(III) reagent as the stoichiometric oxidant is reported. This reaction requires the transfer of an N-aryl nitrene fragment from the iminoiodinane intermediate to a Rh2(II) carboxylate catalyst; in the absence of a catalyst only diaryldiazene formation was observed. This N-aryl aziridination is general and can be successfully realized by using as little as 1 equiv of the olefin. Di-, tri-, and tetrasubstituted cyclic or acylic olefins can be employed as substrates, and a range of aniline and heteroarylamine N atom precursors are tolerated. The Rh2(II)-catalyzed N atom transfer to the olefin is stereospecific as well as chemo- and diastereoselective to produce the N-aryl aziridine as the only amination product. Because the chemistry of nonactivated N-aryl aziridines is underexplored, the reactivity of N-aryl aziridines was explored toward a range of nucleophiles to stereoselectively access privileged 1,2-stereodiads unavailable from epoxides, and removal of the N-2,4-dinitrophenyl group was demonstrated to show that functionalized primary amines can be constructed.

Abstract
Aryl- N-tosylaziridines and epoxides smoothly undergo ring-opening with pyrrole and indoles in the presence of 5M lithium perchlorate in diethyl ether (LPDE) at ambient temperature to afford the corresponding 2- and 3-alkylated pyrroles and 3-alkylated indoles in high yields with high selectivity. LiOTf is also found to be an effective catalyst for this transformation.

Abstract
The stereoselective synthesis of syn-β-fluoroaziridine building blocks via chiral aryl iodide-catalyzed fluorination of allylic amines is reported. The method employs HF-pyridine as a nucleophilic fluoride source together with mCPBA as a stoichiometric oxidant, and affords access to arylethylamine derivatives featuring fluorine-containing stereocenters in high diastereo- and enantioselectivity. Catalyst-controlled diastereoselectivity in the fluorination of chiral allylic amines enabled the preparation of highly enantioenriched 1,3-difluoro-2-amines bearing three contiguous stereocenters. The enantioselective catalytic method was applied successfully to other classes of multifunctional alkene substrates to afford anti-β-fluoropyrrolidines, as well as a variety of 1,2-oxyfluorinated products.

Abstract
An efficient synthesis of 1,3-thiazolidine derivatives has been achieved in which 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde oxime was employed as a base catalyst to effect cyclisation between aziridines and CS2 in DMF at 40 °C. A similar reaction between aziridines and thiocyanates yielded 1,3-thiazoline-2-imine derivatives

Abstract
Enantioselective desymmetrization of meso-aziridines and meso-epoxides with various nucleophiles by organocatalysis has emerged as a cutting-edge approach in recent years. This review summarizes the origin and recent developments of enantioselective desymmetrization of meso-aziridines and meso-epoxides in the presence of organocatalysts.

Abstract
Analogues of the irreversible protease inhibitors TPCK and TLCK have been synthesized and tested as inhibitors of the bacterial cysteine protease IdeS excreted by Streptococcuspyogenes. Eight compounds were identified as inhibitors of IdeS in an in vitro assay. The most potent compounds contained an aldehyde function, thus acting as efficient reversible inhibitors, nitrile and azide derivatives showed moderate activity.

Abstract
A thorough investigation of a regio- and stereospecific aziridine ring opening reaction presents new synthetic technology for the construction of a variety of quaternary beta-substituted-alpha-amino functional groups. Mild, metal-free reaction conditions allow for application in highly functionalized systems. This reaction has been applied to the challenging stereoselective formation of tertiary alkyl-aryl ethers. The strategy for the formation of these hindered ethers has been investigated using a variety of functionalized aziridines and phenols to determine the scope of the reaction. Other nucleophiles, such as thiolate, azide, and chloride, have also been examined to encompass the synthesis of a broader range of functionalities. This aziridine ring opening reaction manifold has demonstrated utility in assembling: beta-substituted-alpha-amino carboxamides, beta-substituted-alpha-amino esters, beta-substituted-alpha-amino silyl ethers, beta-thio-alpha-amino carboxamides, beta-azido-alpha-amino carboxamides, and beta-halo-alpha-amino carboxamides. Studies to probe the effect of the aziridine substitution patterns show that alkyl aziridines display similar reactivity to alkynyl aziridines, giving insight into mechanistic possibilities.
