Abstract
We considered it timely to test the applicability of transferable multipole pseudo-atoms for restoring inner-crystal electronic force density fields. The procedure was carried out on the crystal of 1,3-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-6-methyluracil, and some derived properties of the scalar potential and vector force fields were compared with those obtained from the experimental multipole model and from the aspherical pseudo-atom model with parameters fitted to the calculated structure factors. The procedure was shown to accurately replicate the general vector-field behavior, the peculiarities of the quantum potentials and the characteristics of the force-field pseudoatoms, such as charge, shape and volume, as well as to reproduce the relative arrangement of atomic and pseudoatomic zero-flux surfaces along internuclear regions. It was found that, in addition to the quantum-topological atoms, the force-field pseudoatoms are spatially reproduced within a single structural fragment and similar environment. In addition, the classical and nonclassical hydrogen bonds in the uracil derivative crystal, as well as the H...O, N...O and N...C interactions in the free π-stacked dimer of the uracil derivative molecules, were studied using the potential and force fields within the concepts of interatomic charge transfer and electron lone pair donation-acceptance. Remarkably, the nitrogen atoms in the N...O and N...C interactions behave rather like a Lewis base and an electron contributor. At the same time, the hydrogen atom in the H...O interaction, being a Lewis acid, also participates in the interatomic electron transfer by acting as a contributor. Thus, it has been argued that, when describing polar interatomic interactions within orbital-free considerations, it makes more physical sense to identify electronegative (electron occupier) and electropositive (electron contributor) atoms or subatomic fragments rather than nucleophilic and electrophilic sites.

Abstract
The utilization of nanostructured materials for several biomedical applications has tremendously increased over the last few decades owing to their nanosizes, porosity, large surface area, sensitivity, and efficiency as drug delivery systems. Thus, the incorporation of functionalized and pristine nanostructures for cancer therapy offers substantial prospects to curb the persistent problems of ineffective drug administration and delivery to target sites. The potential of pristine (Ca12O12) and formyl (-CHO)- and amino (-NH2)-functionalized (Ca12O12-CHO and Ca12O12-NH2) derivatives as efficient nanocarriers for 5-fluorouracil (5FU) was studied at the B3LYP-GD3(BJ)/6-311++G(d,p) theoretical level in two electronic media (gas and solvent). To effectively account for all adsorption interactions of the drug on the investigated surfaces, electronic studies as well as topological analysis based on the quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM) and noncovalent interactions were exhaustively utilized. Interestingly, the obtained results divulged that the 5FU drug interacted favorably with both Ca12O12 and its functionalized derivatives. The adsorption energies of pristine and functionalized nanostructures were calculated to be -133.4, -96.9, and -175.6 kcal/mol, respectively, for Ca12O12, Ca12O12-CHO, and Ca12O12-NH2. Also, both topological analysis and NBO stabilization analysis revealed the presence of interactions among O3-H32, O27-C24, O10-C27, and N24-H32 atoms of the drug and the surface. However, 5FU@Ca12O12-CHO molecules portrayed the least adsorption energy due to considerable destabilization of the molecular complex as revealed by the computed deformation energy. Therefore, 5FU@Ca12O12 and 5FU@Ca12O12-NH2 acted as better nanovehicles for 5FU.

Synthesis, Molecular, and Supramolecular Structures of Two Azide-Bridged Cd(II) and Cu(II) Coordination Polymers. Symmetry (Basel) 2023. Abstract
Two 1D coordination polymers were synthesized by reaction of two ligands, 2-amino-4-picoline (2A4Pic) and quinoline-6-carboxylic acid (Qu-6-COOH) with two metal (II) nitrate (M = Cd and Cu) in the presence of azide as a linker. The synthesized metal complexes [Cd(2A4Pic)2(N3)2]n; (1) and [Cu(Qu-6-COO)(N3)(H2O)]n; (2) were isolated in single crystals and their X-ray structures revealed a 1D polymeric structure. Due to symmetry considerations, the asymmetric formula is half a [Cd(2A4Pic)2(N3)2] unit for 1 and one [Cu(Qu-6-COO)(N3)(H2O)] unit for 2. In complex 1, the Cd(II) is hexa-coordinated with two 2A4Pic molecules and four μ(1,1) azide units. Hence, the CdN6 coordination environment has a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. In 2, the Cu(II) is hexa-coordinated with three different ligands (Qu-6-COO¯, H2O and μ(1,1) N3¯) where all are connectors between the crystallographically related Cu(II) sites. Additionally, complex 2 distorted CuN2O4 octahedral geometry. In both complexes, the polymer arrays are connected by N…H hydrogen bonds and π–π stacking interactions. Based on Hirshfeld analysis, the percentages of N…H contacts are 43.1 and 27.4% for 1 and 2, respectively, while %C...C are 5.6 and 9.3%, respectively. Analysis of Cu-N, Cu-O, and Cd-N bonds using DFT calculations showed predominantly closed-shell coordination interactions with little covalent characters. Additionally, the negatively charged ligand groups were found to compensate the positive charge of the central metal ion to a larger extent than the electrically neutral ligands.

Abstract
We investigated hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) sensing on NH2-functionalized carbon dots (Cdots) for three different -NH2 positions, and the N atom was found to be the active site using a quantum computational approach. B3LYP and 6-31G(d,p) were used for density functional theory (DFT) ground state calculations, whereas CAM-B3LYP and the same basis set were used in time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) excited state calculations. Structural optimization showed that the H2O2 is chemisorbed on 1-sim via a C-N⋯H hydrogen bond interaction with an adsorption energy of -10.61 kcal mol-1. Mulliken atomic charge distributions and electrostatic potential (ESP) analysis were both used to determine reactivity of the molecules at the atomic level. For in-depth analysis of the ground states, we utilized Frontier molecular orbital (FMO) theory, quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM), and non-covalent interaction (NCI) index analysis. In addition, we also present UV-vis absorption spectra and charge transfer lengths to understand the mechanism of H2O2 sensing in excited states. Based on the molecular and electronic properties of the NH2-Cdots, it was shown that 1-sim is a potential candidate for use as an electrochemical sensor for H2O2 sensing. Whereas 3-sim is believed to be a potential candidate for use as an optical sensor of H2O2 based on the UV-vis characteristics via photoinduced charge transfer.

Abstract
The π-conjugated supramolecular polymers (SMP) have gained vast popularity in materials chemistry and biomedicine due to their spectacular self-assembling behaviour. A detailed account of the electronic structure and bonding through quantum theory of atoms-in-molecules, non-covalent interactions, and energy decomposition analysis (EDA) in the oligomers of perylene, perylene diimide (PDI), and thionated-PDI (t-PDI) is presented. The oligomers of all three molecules show a slip angle of θ≈62° thus forming H-aggregates. The stacking pattern in perylene oligomers prefers a slip-stacked brick-layer order, while the bulkier PDI and t-PDI prefer a parallel step-wise pattern in their oligomers. Successive addition of monomers leads to a consequent rise in the association energy, although to a much greater extent in PDI and t-PDI than in perylene. While the major contribution to this association energy comes from the dispersion interactions in all three systems, the steric interactions in t-PDI quench the cooperativity in its SMP formation. A detailed analysis of the non-covalent interactions reveals the presence of π-π, π-hole⋅⋅⋅O=C, and π-hole⋅⋅⋅S=C electrostatic interactions playing a crucial role in the self-assembly process, which can be further implemented on developing force field-based methods for understanding the self-assembling mechanism in higher degree of oligomers.

Abstract
In recent decades, aqueous two phase systems have gained a lot of attention for extraction of different materials. In this work, an aqueous two phase system was made by polyethylene glycol 600 and potassium hydroxide and phase diagram were determined for this system. The experimental binodal data were described using two empirical nonlinear three parameter expressions developed by Merchuk and Zafarani-Moattar. The consistency of the experimental tie-line data was determined by utilizing the Othmer-Tobias, Bancraft, and Setschenow correlations. Also, the extraction of two analgesic drugs, namely ibuprofen and acetaminophen were investigated by the mentioned ATPS. For this purpose, partition coefficients and extraction efficiencies of each drug were calculated. The trend of extraction efficiencies indicated that the responsibility of extraction of the mentioned drugs into the polymer-rich top phase is related to their hydrophobicity. The Diamond-Hsu equation and its modified version were used to correlate the drugs experimental partition coefficients. Furthermore, the interaction of mentioned drugs with polyethylene glycol was investigated employing quantum computing techniques based upon density functional theory (DFT). These results were in good agreement with the trend of extraction efficiencies of studied drugs.

Abstract
Chemical bond territory is rich with covalently bonded molecules wherein a strong bond is formed by equal or unequal sharing of a quantum of electrons. The noncovalent version of the bonding scenarios expands the chemical bonding territory to a weak domain wherein the interplay of electrostatic and π-effects, dipole-dipole, dipole-induced dipole, and induced dipole-induced dipole interactions, and hydrophobic effects occur. Here we study both the covalent and noncovalent interactive behavior of cyclic and acyclic imine-based functional molecules (XN) with CO2. All parent XN systems preferred the formation of noncovalent (nc) complex XN···CO2, while more saturated such systems (XN') produced both nc and covalent (c) complexes XN'+-(CO2)-. In all such cases, crossover from an nc to c complex is clearly demarcated with the identification of a transition state (ts). The complexes XN'···CO2 and XN'+-(CO2)- are bond stretch isomers, and they define the weak and strong bonding territories, respectively, while the ts appears as the demarcation point of the two territories. Cluster formation of XN with CO2 reinforces the interaction between them, and all become covalent clusters of general formula (XN+-(CO2)-)n. The positive cooperativity associated with the NH···OC hydrogen bond formation between any two XN'+-(CO2)- units strengthened the N-C coordinate covalent bond and led to massive stabilization of the cluster. For instance, the stabilizing interaction between the XN unit with CO2 is increased from 2-7 kcal/mol range in a monomer complex to 14-31 kcal/mol range for the octamer cluster (XN'+-(CO2)-)8. The cooperativity effect compensates for the large reduction in the entropy of cluster formation. Several imine systems showed the exergonic formation of the cluster and are predicted as potential candidates for CO2 capture and conversion.

Abstract
The computational modeling supported with experimental results can explain the overall structural packing by predicting the hydrogen bond interactions present in any cocrystals (active pharmaceutical ingredients + coformer) as well as salts. In this context, the hydrogen bonding synthons, physiochemical properties (chemical reactivity and stability), and drug-likeliness behavior of proposed nicotinamide-oxalic acid (NIC-OXA) salt have been reported by using vibrational spectroscopic signatures (IR and Raman spectra) and quantum chemical calculations. The NIC-OXA salt was prepared by reactive crystallization method. X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) techniques were used for the characterization and validation of NIC-OXA salt. The spectroscopic signatures revealed that (N7-H8)/(N23-H24) of the pyridine ring of NIC, (C═O), and (C-O) groups of OXA were forming the intermolecular hydrogen bonding (N-H⋯O-C), (C-H⋯O═C), and (N-H⋯O═C), respectively, in NIC-OXA salt. Additionally, the quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM) showed that (C10-H22⋯O1) and (C26-H38⋯O4) are two unconventional hydrogen bonds present in NIC-OXA salt. Also, the natural bond orbital analysis was performed to find the charge transfer interactions and revealed the strongest hydrogen bonds (N7-H8⋯O5)/(N23-H24⋯O2) in NIC-OXA salt. The frontier molecular orbital (FMO) analysis suggested more reactivity and less stability of NIC-OXA salt in comparison to NIC-CA cocrystal and NIC. The global and local reactivity descriptors calculated and predicted that NIC-OXA salt is softer than NIC-CA cocrystal and NIC. From MESP of NIC-OXA salt, it is clear that electrophilic (N7-H8)/(N23-H24), (C6═O4)/(C3═O1) and nucleophilic (C10-H22)/(C26-H38), (C6-O5)/(C3-O2) reactive groups in NIC and OXA, respectively, neutralize after the formation of NIC-OXA salt, confirming the presence of hydrogen bonding interactions (N7-H8⋯O5-C6) and (N23-H24⋯O2-C3). Lipinski's rule was applied to check the activeness of salt as an orally active form. The results shed light on several features of NIC-OXA salt that can further lead to the improvement in the physicochemical properties of NIC.

Abstract
The study of intermolecular interactions is of great importance. This study attempted to quantitatively examine the interactions between bromine monochloride (BrCl) with pristine boron nitride nanotube (BNNT) armchair (5,5) and zigzag (7,0) as well as armchair (5,5) BC2NNT and zigzag (7,0) BC2NNT in vacuum. Quantum mechanical studies of such systems are possible in the density functional theory (DFT) framework. For this purpose, various functionals, such as B3LYP-D3, [Formula: see text]B97XD, and M062X, have been used. One of the most suitable basis functionals for the systems studied in this research is 6-311G (d), which has been used in both optimization calculations and calculations related to wave function analyses. The main part of this work is the study of various analyses that reveal the nature of the intermolecular interactions between the two components introduced above. The results of conceptual DFT, natural bond orbital, non-covalent interactions, and quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM) were consistent and in favor of physical adsorption in all systems. Gallium had more adsorption energy than other dopants. The HOMO–LUMO energy gaps were as follows: BNNT (5,5): 10.296, BNNT (7,0): 9.015, BC2NNT (5,5): 7.022, and BC2NNT (7,0): 5.979[Formula: see text]eV at B3LYP-D3/6-311G (d) model chemistry. The strongest interaction is related to the BC2NNT (7,0)/BrCl cluster: [Formula: see text][Formula: see text]eV. The results of QTAIM and NCI analysis identified the intermolecular interactions of the type of strong van der Waals interaction for these nanotubes. The sensitivity of the adsorption increased when a gas molecule interacted with carbon-doped BNNT, and the change in the frontier orbital gap could be used to design nanosensors to detect BrCl gas.

Abstract
The study of intermolecular interactions is of great importance. This study attempted to quantitatively examine the interactions between cysteine (C3H7NO2S) and fullerene nanocages, C60, in vacuum. As the frequent introduction of elements as impurities into the structure of nanomaterials can increase the intensity of intermolecular interactions, nanocages doped with silicon and germanium have also been studied as adsorbents, C59Si and C59Ge. Quantum mechanical studies of such systems are possible in the density functional theory (DFT) framework. For this purpose, various functionals, such as B3LYP-D3, ωB97XD, and M062X, have been used. One of the most suitable basis functionals for the systems studied in this research is 6-311G (d), which has been used in both optimization calculations and calculations related to wave function analyses. Abstract
There is a continuous need for novel microbial natural products to fill the drying-up drug development pipeline. Herein, we report myxadazoles from Myxococcus sp. SDU36, a family of novel chimeric small molecules that consist of N-ribityl 5,6-dimethylbenzimidazole and a linear fatty acid chain endowed with an isoxazole ring. The experiments of genome sequencing, gene insertion mutation, isotope labelling, and precursor feeding demonstrated that the fatty acid chain was encoded by a non-canonical PKS/NRPS gene cluster, whereas the origin of N-ribityl 5,6-dimethylbenzimidazole was related to the vitamin B12 metabolism. The convergence of these two distinct biosynthetic pathways through a C-N coupling led to the unique chemical framework of myxadazoles, which is an unprecedented hybridization mode in the paradigm of natural products. Myxadazoles exhibited potent vasculogenesis promotion effect and moderate antithrombotic activity, underscoring their potential usage for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Abstract
In this paper, we have theoretically determined the possibility of adsorption of the gaseous CH2N2 molecule on the surface of X12Y12 nanocages, where X = B, Al, Ga and Y = N, P, As. The electronic structure calculations have been performed by density functional theory (DFT) using four functionals (i.e., B3LYP-D3, M06-2X, ωB97XD, and CAM-B3LYP), together with the 6-311G(d) basis function. We find that the adsorption of CH2N2 on top of the X–Y bond of the nanocage is the most preferred site for adsorption. The adsorption process is accompanied by a charge-transfer phenomenon, which results in a strong bond between the terminal N atom of diazomethane and the X atom of the nanocage. This gives rise to significant changes in the highest and lowest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO and LUMO, respectively) energies and thus attribute properties to the nanocages that enable them to act as building blocks of CH2N2 sensing materials.

Abstract
Superalkalis and superhalogens are atomic clusters that mimic the chemistry of alkali and halogen atoms, respectively; the ionization energies of the superalkalis are less than those of alkali atoms, while the electron affinities of superhalogens are larger than those of the halogen atoms. These superions can serve as the building blocks of a new class of supersalts with applications in solar cells, metal-ion batteries, multiferroic materials, and so on. While considerable progress has been made in the design and synthesis of superhalogens, a similar understanding of superalkalis is lacking. Using density functional theory with hybrid exchange-correlation functional and Gaussian basis sets, we have systematically studied the role of size and composition on the properties of two different classes of clusters whose stabilities are governed by the Wade-Mingos polyhedral skeletal electron pair theory. One class belongs to the closo-borane family LimBnXn (m = 1, 2, 3; n = 6, 12; X = H, F, CN), while the other to the Zintl ions Lim[Be@Ge9]. We show that Li3BnXn and Li3[Be@Ge9] clusters are superalkalis with ionization energies as low as 2.84 eV in Li3B6H6. However, contrary to expectation, the ionization energies do not decrease with increasing cluster volume. Instead, ionization energies are linked to the X ligands' electron affinities; the larger the electron affinity, the higher is the ionization energy. The understanding gained here will help in the discovery of superalkalis and, hence, enrich the library of supersalts.

Abstract
Among the various carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies, the direct air capture (DAC) of CO2 by engineered chemical reactions on suitable adsorbents has attained more attention in recent times. Guanidine (G) is one of such promising adsorbent molecules for CO2 capture. Recently Lee et al. (Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 2015, 17, 10925-10933) reported an interaction energy (ΔE) of -5.5 kcal mol-1 for the GCO2 complex at the CCSD(T)/CBS level, which was one of the best non-covalent interactions observed for CO2 among several functional molecules. Here we show that the non-covalent GCO2 complex can transform to a strongly interacting G-CO2 covalent complex under the influence of multiple molecules of G and CO2. The study, conducted at M06-2X/6-311++G** level density functional theory, shows ΔE = -5.7 kcal mol-1 for GCO2 with an NC distance of 2.688 Å while almost a five-fold increase in ΔE (-27.5 kcal mol-1) is observed for the (G-CO2)8 cluster wherein the N-C distance is 1.444 Å. All the (G-CO2)n clusters (n = 2-10) show a strong N-CO2 covalent interaction with the N-C distance gradually decreasing from 1.479 Å for n = 2 to 1.444 Å for n = 8 ≅ 9, 10. The N-CO2 bonding gives (G+)-(CO2-) zwitterion character for G-CO2 and the charge-separated units preferred a cyclic arrangement in (G-CO2)n clusters due to the support of three strong intermolecular OHN hydrogen bonds from every CO2. The OHN interaction is also enhanced with an increase in the size of the cluster up to n = 8. The high ΔE is attributed to the large cooperativity associated with the N-CO2 and OHN interactions. The quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM) analysis confirms the nature and strength of such interactions, and finds that the total interaction energy is directly related to the sum of the electron density at the bond critical points of N-CO2 and OHN interactions. Further, molecular electrostatic potential analysis shows that the cyclic cluster is stabilized due to the delocalization of charges accumulated on the (G+)-(CO2-) zwitterion via multiple OHN interactions. The cyclic (G-CO2)n cluster formation is a highly exergonic process, which reveals the high CO2 adsorption capability of guanidine.

Abstract
A detailed analysis of a complete set of the local potentials that appear in the Euler equation for electron density is carried out for noncovalent interactions in the crystal of a uracil derivative using experimental X-ray charge density. The interplay between the quantum theory of atoms in molecules and crystals and the local potentials and corresponding inner-crystal electronic forces of electrostatic and kinetic origin is explored. Partitioning of crystal space into atomic basins and atomic-like potential basins led us to the definite description of interatomic interaction and charge transfer. Novel physically grounded bonding descriptors derived within the orbital-free quantum crystallography provided the detailed examination of π-stacking and intricate C=O⋅⋅⋅π interactions and nonclassical hydrogen bonds present in the crystal. The donor-acceptor character of these interactions is revealed by analysis of Pauli and von Weizsäcker potentials together with well-known functions, e. g., deformation electron density and electron localization function. In this way, our analysis throws light on aspects of these closed-shell interactions hitherto hidden from the description.

Abstract
In the present investigation, the feasibility of detecting the 1-chloro-1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethane gas molecule on the outer surface of pristine single-walled boron nitride nanotube, as well as its aluminium- and gallium-doped structures, was carefully evaluated. For achieving this goal, a periodic boundary condition density functional theory level of study using both HSE06 and B3LYP-D3 functionals together with a 6-311G(d) basis set has been used. Subsequently, the CAM-B3LYP, ωB97XD, and M06-2X functionals with a 6-311G(d) basis set were also employed to consider the single point energies. Natural bond orbital and quantum theory of atoms in molecules were implemented by using the HSE06/6-311G(d) method and the results were compatible with the electronic properties. In this regard, the total density of state, the Wiberg bond index, natural charge, natural electron configuration, donor–acceptor natural bond orbital interactions, and the second-order perturbation energies are performed to explore the nature of the intermolecular interactions. All of the energy calculations and population analyses show that by adsorbing of the gas molecule onto the surface of the considered nanostructures, the intermolecular interactions are of the type of strong chemical adsorption. Between the doped nanotubes, aluminium-doped nanotube has very high adsorption energy compared with gallium. Generally, it was revealed that the sensitivity of the adsorption will be increased when the gas molecule interacts with decorated nanotubes and decrease the HOMO–LUMO band gap; therefore, the change of electronic properties can be used to design suitable nanosensors.

Abstract
In the present investigation, the feasibility of detecting the chlorofluoromethane (CFM) gas molecule onto the outer surface of pristine single layer boron nitride nanosheet (BNNS), as well as its aluminum (Al)- and gallium (Ga)-doped structures, was carefully evaluated. For achieving this goal, a density functional theory level of study using the Perdew, Burke, and Ernzerhof exchange-correlation (PBEPBE) functional together with a 6-311G(d) basis set has been used. Subsequently, the B3LYP, CAM-B3LYP, wB97XD, and M062X functionals with a 6-311G(d) basis set were also employed to consider the single-point energies. Natural bond orbital (NBO) and quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM) were implemented by using the B3LYP-D3/6-311G(d) method, and the results were compatible with the electronic properties. In this regard, the total density of states (TDOSs), the Wiberg bond index (WBI), natural charge, natural electron configuration, donor-acceptor natural bond orbital interactions, and the second-order perturbation energies are performed to explore the nature of the intermolecular interactions. All of the energy calculations and population analyses denote that by adsorbing of the gas molecule onto the surface of the considered nanostructures, the intermolecular interactions are of the type of strong chemical adsorption. Among the doped nanosheets, Ga-doped nanosheet has very high adsorption energy compared with other elements (i.e., Ga-doped > Al-doped > pristine). Generally, it was revealed that the sensitivity of the adsorption will be increased when the gas molecule interacts with decorated nanosheets and decrease the HOMO-LUMO band gap; therefore, the change of electronic properties can be used to design suitable nanosensors to detect CFM gas. Abstract
[Ni{2-H2NC(=O)C5H4N}2(H2O)2][Ni{2,6-(O2C)2C5H3N}2]·4.67H2O, a new complex salt containing a bis(2,6-dicarboxypyridine)nickel(II) anion and a bis(2-amidopyridine)diaquanickel(II) cation, was synthesized and characterized. The crystal is stabilized by an extensive network of hydrogen bonds. Alternate layers of anions and cations/water molecules parallel to (010) can be distinguished. Computational studies of the network packing of the title compound by high-level DFT-D/B3LYP calculations indicate stabilization of the networks with conventional and non-conventional intermolecular O-H...O, N-H...O and C-H...O hydrogen bonds along with π-stacking contacts. Due to the presence of water molecules and the importance of forming hydrogen bonds with the involvement of water clusters to the stability of the crystal packing, the importance and role of these water clusters, and the quantitative stability resulting from the formation of hydrogen bonds and possibly other noncovalent bonds such as π-stacking are examined. The binding energies obtained by DFT-D calculations for these contacts indicate that hydrogen bonds, especially O-H...O and N-H...O, control the construction of the crystalline packing. Additionally, the results of Bader's theory of AIM for these interactions agree reasonably well with the calculated energies.

Abstract
Single-atom catalysts (SACs) maximize the utility efficiency of metal atoms and offer great potential for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Bimetal atom catalysts are an appealing strategy in virtue of the synergistic interaction of neighboring metal atoms, which can further improve the intrinsic HER activity beyond SACs. However, the rational design of these systems remains conceptually challenging and requires in-depth research both experimentally and theoretically. Here, we develop a dual-atom catalyst (DAC) consisting of O-coordinated W-Mo heterodimer embedded in N-doped graphene (W1Mo1-NG), which is synthesized by controllable self-assembly and nitridation processes. In W1Mo1-NG, the O-bridged W-Mo atoms are anchored in NG vacancies through oxygen atoms with W─O─Mo─O─C configuration, resulting in stable and finely distribution. The W1Mo1-NG DAC enables Pt-like activity and ultrahigh stability for HER in pH-universal electrolyte. The electron delocalization of W─O─Mo─O─C configuration provides optimal adsorption strength of H and boosts the HER kinetics, thereby notably promoting the intrinsic activity.

Abstract
A new series of bis/mono ethyl-1-aryl-1H-tetrazole-5-carboxylate has been synthesized by treating respective tetrazole with ethyl chloroformate in THF and DIPEA as a catalyst. The structure of the novel molecule is characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and mass spectra. After conforming the structure, bis/mono ethyl-1-aryl-1H-tetrazole-5-carboxylate was subjected to hydrolysis under both acidic and basic conditions. The hydrolysis reaction did not occur; to know the relevant reason, we move to theoretical studies. DFT B3LYP method was used to determine the optimized structure and HOMO & LUMO energies of the title molecule. The energy was found to be from 4.23-5.31 eV. Energy gap was related to hardness and reactivity. Additionally, we provide the reason with respect to AIM analysis, which was performed for one molecule. The synthesized title molecules were characterized by IR, 1H & 13C NMR, mass and elemental analysis. Theoretical studies such as DFT and AIM analysis were also performed. All the synthesized compounds were verified by analytical data such as IR, NMR, elemental analysis, mass spectra and theoretical studies such as DFT and AIM analysis. The HOMO & LUMO energy was found to be from 4.5 eV to 5.2 eV. More energy gap results in enriched hardness in the molecule and decreased reactivity. From the AIM analysis result, we found that there is a formation of a weak bond between the oxygen of the carbonyl group and carbon of the phenyl group. Due to these reasons, the title molecule did not undergo hydrolysis reaction under both acidic and basic conditions. We report on the synthesis and characterization of bis/mono ethyl-1-aryl-1H-tetrazole-5- carboxylate. HOMO & LUMO energy were found to be 4.5 – 5.2 eV. High energy will increase the hardness of the molecule which will result in decreased reactivity of the molecule. Additionally, we provide AIM analysis done for the compound 6a and there is formation of a weak bond between the oxygen of the carbonyl group and carbon of the phenyl group. Oxygen used its lone pair of electron in the formation of a weak bond with carbon and hence oxygen become unreactive and so the hydrolysis reaction did not happen.

Abstract
Bond formation and bond cleavage processes are central to a chemical reaction. They can be investigated by monitoring changes in the potential energy surface (PES) or changes in the electron density (ED) distribution ρ(r) taking place during the reaction. However, it is not yet clear how the corresponding changes in the PES and ED are related, although the connection between energy and density has been postulated in the famous Hohenberg-Kohn theorem. Our unified reaction valley approach (URVA) identifies the locations of bond formation/cleavage events along the reaction path via the reaction path curvature peaks and their decomposition into the internal coordinate components associated with the bond to be formed or cleaved. One can also investigate bond formation/cleavage events using the quantum theory of atoms-in-molecule (QTAIM) analysis by monitoring changes in the topological properties of ρ(r) and the associated Laplacian ∇2ρ(r). By a systematic comparison of these two approaches for a series of ten representative chemical reactions ranging from hydrogen migration to cycloaddition reactions and gold(i) catalysis, we could for the first time unravel the PES-ED relationship. In the case of a bond formation, all changes in the ED occur shortly before or at the corresponding curvature peak, and in a bond cleavage, the ED changes occur at or shortly after the curvature peak. In any case, the ED changes always occurred in the vicinity of the curvature peak in accordance with the Hohenberg-Kohn theorem. Our findings provide a comprehensive view on bond formation/cleavage processes seen through the eyes of both the PES and ED and offer valuable guidelines on where to search for significant ED changes associated with bond formation or cleavage events.
