Abstract
The collision-induced rate coefficients of ortho-para conversion for the H+ + H2 reaction provide accurate information to probe the lifetime of cold environments in interstellar media. Rotationally resolved reaction probabilities are calculated at the low collision energy regime (0 < Ecol ≤ 0.3 eV) by employing the coupled three-dimensional (3D) time-dependent wave packet (TDWP) formalism in hyperspherical coordinates on a recently constructed ab initio ground adiabatic potential energy surface of H3+ [J. Chem. Phys. 2014, 141, 204306] for the process H+ + H2 (v = 0, j = 0-5) → H+ + H2 (v' = 0, j'). Cross-sections are then computed from the converged reaction probabilities as a function of total angular momentum (J) over the same energy regime and subsequently employed to obtain the rate constants for the ortho-to-para (O-P) and para-to-ortho (P-O) conversions and their ratio. The ratio of ortho-para conversion shows (a) appropriate convergence with the inclusion of a higher number of initial rotational states as well as a reasonable agreement with the results from a quantum statistical method and (b) a peak at lower temperature that could be due to the available collision energy for transitions involving lower rotational states (j = 0 → j' = 1).

Abstract
Akin to the traditional quasi-classical trajectory method for investigating the dynamics on a single adiabatic potential energy surface for an elementary chemical reaction, we carry out the dynamics on a 2-state ab initio potential energy surface including nonadiabatic coupling terms as friction terms for D+ + H2 collisions. It is shown that the resulting dynamics correctly accounts for nonreactive charge transfer, reactive non-charge transfer and reactive charge transfer processes. In addition, it leads to the formation of triatomic DH2+ species as well.

Abstract
We had calculated adiabatic potential energy surfaces (PESs), nonadiabatic, and spin-orbit (SO) coupling terms among the lowest three electronic states (12A', 22A', and 12A″) of the F + H2 system using the multireference configuration interaction (MRCI) level of theory, and the adiabatic-to-diabatic transformation equations were solved to formulate the diabatic Hamiltonian matrix [J. Chem. Phys. 2020, 153, 174301] for the entire region of the nuclear configuration space. The accuracy of such diabatic PESs is explored by performing scattering calculations to evaluate integral cross sections (ICSs) and rate constants. The nonadiabatic and SO effects are studied by utilizing coupled 3D time-dependent wave packet formalism with zero and nonzero total angular momentum on multiple adiabatic/diabatic surfaces calculation. We depict the convergence profiles of reaction probabilities for the reactive as well as nonreactive processes on various electronic states at different collision energies with respect to total angular momentum including all helicity quantum numbers. Finally, total ICSs are calculated as functions of collision energies for the initial rovibrational state (v = 0, j = 0) of the H2 molecule along with the temperature-dependent rate coefficient, where those quantities are compared with previous theoretical and experimental results.

Abstract
We have carried out quantum dynamics calculations for the O + OH → H + O2 reaction on the CHIPR [A. J. C. Varandas, J. Chem. Phys., 2013, 138, 134117] potential energy surface (PES) for ground state HO2 using the fully coupled 3D time-dependent wavepacket formalism [S. Adhikari and A. J. C. Varandas, Comput. Phys. Commun., 2013, 184, 270] in hyperspherical coordinates. Reaction probabilities for J > 0 are calculated for different initial rotational states of the OH radical (v = 0; j = 0, 1). State-to-state as well as total integral cross sections and rate-coefficients are evaluated and compared with previous theoretical calculations and available experimental studies. Using the rate constant for the forward (hereinafter considered to be H + O2 → O + OH) and backward (O + OH → H + O2) reactions of this reactive system, the equilibrium constant of the reversible process [H + O2 ⇌ O + OH] is calculated as a function of temperature and compared with previous experimental measurements.

Abstract
The non-adiabatic quantum dynamics of the H + H2 + → H2 + H+ charge transfer reactions, and some isotopic variants, is studied with an accurate wave packet method. A recently developed 3 × 3 diabatic potential model is used, which is based on very accurate ab initio calculations and includes the long-range interactions for ground and excited states. It is found that for initial H2 +(v = 0), the quasi-degenerate H2(v' = 4) non-reactive charge transfer product is enhanced, producing an increase in the reaction probability and cross section. It becomes the dominant channel from collision energies above 0.2 eV, producing a ratio between v' = 4 and the rest of v's, which that increase up to 1 eV. The H + H2 + → H2 + + H exchange reaction channel is nearly negligible, while the reactive and non-reactive charge transfer reaction channels are of the same order, except that corresponding to H2(v' = 4), and the two charge transfer processes compete below 0.2 eV. This enhancement is expected to play an important vibrational and isotopic effect that needs to be evaluated. For the three proton case, the problem of the permutation symmetry is discussed when using reactant Jacobi coordinates.

Abstract
The dynamics of the H + H2+ reaction has been analyzed from the electronically first excited state of diabatic potential energy surfaces constructed by employing the Beyond Born-Oppenheimer theory [J. Chem. Phys. 2014, 141, 204306]. We have employed the coupled 3D time-dependent wavepacket formalism in hyperspherical coordinates for multisurface reactive scattering problems. To be specific, the charge transfer processes have been investigated extensively by calculating state-to-state as well as total reaction probabilities and integral cross sections, when the reaction process is initiated from the first excited electronic state (21A'). We have depicted the convergence profiles of reaction probabilities for the competing charge transfer processes, namely, reactive charge transfer (RCT) and nonreactive charge transfer (NRCT) processes for different total energies with respect to total angular momentum, J. Total and state-to-state integral cross sections are calculated as a function of total energy for the initial rovibrational state, namely, v = 0, j = 0 level of H2+ (2Σg+) molecule and are compared with previous theoretical calculations. Finally, we have calculated temperature-dependent rate constants using our presently evaluated cross sections and compared their average with the experimentally measured one.

Abstract
We present first principle based beyond Born-Oppenheimer (BBO) theory and its applications on various models as well as realistic spectroscopic and scattering processes, where the Jahn-Teller (JT) theory is brought in conjunction with the BBO approach on the phase transition of lanthanide complexes. Over one and half decades, our development of BBO theory is demonstrated with ab initio calculations on representative molecules of spectroscopic interest (NO2 radical, Na3 and K3 clusters, NO3 radical, C6H6+ and 1,3,5-C6H3F3+ radical cations) as well as triatomic reactive scattering processes (H+ + H2 and F + H2). Such an approach exhibits the effect of JT, Renner-Teller (RT) and pseudo Jahn-Teller (PJT) type of interactions. While implementing the BBO theory, we generate highly accurate diabatic potential energy surfaces (PESs) to carry out quantum dynamics calculation and find excellent agreement with experimental photoelectron spectra of spectroscopic systems and cross-sections/rate constants of scattering processes. On the other hand, such electron-nuclear couplings incorporated through JT theory play a crucial role in dictating higher energy satellite transitions in the dielectric function spectra of the LaMnO3 complex. Overall, this article thoroughly sketches the current perspective of the BBO approach and its connection with JT theory with various applications on physical and chemical processes.

Abstract
Since there is no exact solution for problems in physics and chemistry, extrapolation methods may assume a key role in quantitative quantum chemistry. Two topics where it bears considerable impact are addressed, both at the heart of computational quantum chemistry: electronic structure and reaction dynamics. In the first, the problem of extrapolating the energy obtained by solving the electronic Schrödinger equation to the limit of the complete one-electron basis set is addressed. With the uniform-singlet-and-triplet-extrapolation (USTE) scheme at the focal point, the emphasis is on recent updates covering from the energy itself to other molecular properties. The second topic refers to extrapolation of quantum mechanical reactive scattering probabilities from zero total angular momentum to any of the values that it may assume when running quasiclassical trajectories, QCT/QM-[Formula: see text]J. With the extrapolation guided in both cases by physically motivated asymptotic theories, realism is seeked by avoiding unsecure jumps into the unknown. Although, mostly review oriented, a few issues are addressed for the first time here and there. Prospects for future work conclude the overview.

Abstract
We present an in-depth theoretical study of the C(1D) + HD (v = 0, j = 0) → CD (CH) (v', j') + H (D) reaction using a time-dependent wave packet method with full Coriolis coupling on the Zhang-Ma-Bian potential energy surfaces (PESs) recently constructed by our group. The integral cross sections (ICS), differential cross sections, CD/CH branching ratios, and product state distributions are calculated over a wide range of collision energies. We find that the vibrational branching ratio defined as ICS(v'=1)/ICS(v'=0) obtained from the b̃1A″ PES is much smaller than that from the ã1A' PES for both product channels, which may be attributed to the dynamical effects of the conical intersection regulated (CI-R) intermediate on the b̃1A″ PES. The collision energy dependence of CD/CH branching ratios displays oscillatory structures, which may be caused by the resonance states supported by the wells on the PESs. The high-temperature rate coefficients are also obtained and compared with previous results. The role of the excited-state PESs is also discussed.

Abstract
A non-Born–Oppenheimer (BO) investigation using coherent switching with decay of mixing method is carried out for both reactive non-charge transfer and charge transfer channels of reaction D+ + H2 (v, j = 0). For the non-charge transfer channel, it is found that the non-BO effect has a small influence on the differential cross section, but it has a large impact on the rotational polarization of the HD product, which is reflected by the joint distribution P(θr, ϕr). And it is also found that the polarization of the charge transfer products shows a quite different form. The rotational polarizations are also investigated at various collision energies and initial vibrational states for both reactive channels.
