Abstract
Amines, a class of prototypical volatile organic compounds, have garnered considerable interest within the context of atmospheric and combustion chemistry due to their substantial contributions to the formation of hazardous pollutants in the atmosphere. In the current energy landscape, the implementation of carbon-neutral energy and strategic initiatives leads to generation of new amine sources that cannot be overlooked in terms of the emission scale. To reduce the emission level of amines from their sources and mitigate their impact on the formation of harmful substances, a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental reaction kinetics during the degeneration process of amines is imperative. This perspective article first presents an overview of both traditional amine sources and emerging amine sources within the context of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality and then highlights the importance of H-abstraction reactions in understanding the atmospheric and combustion chemistry of amines from the perspective of reaction kinetics. Subsequently, the current experimental and theoretical techniques for investigating the H-abstraction reactions of amines are introduced, and a concise summary of research endeavors made in this field over the past few decades is provided. In order to provide accurate kinetic parameters of the H-abstraction reactions of amines, advanced kinetic calculations are performed using the multi-path canonical variational theory combined with the small-curvature tunneling and specific-reaction parameter methods. By comparing with the literature data, current kinetic calculations are comprehensively evaluated, and these validated data are valuable for the development of the reaction mechanism of amines.

Abstract
The reactivity of pyridine is a complex topic due to its unique electronic structure. The reactions of atomic boron with pyridine molecules in solid neon have been investigated using matrix isolation infrared absorption spectroscopy. Three products (marked as A, B, and C) were observed and characterized through 10B, D and 15N isotopic substitution pyridine regents as well as quantum chemical calculations. In the reaction, the ground-state boron atom can attack the lone pair electrons of the nitrogen atom in the pyridine molecule, resulting in the formation of a 1-boropyridinyl radical (A). Alternatively, addition to the aromatic π-system of pyridine can occur in a [1,4] type, leading to the formation of a B[η2(1,4)-C5H5N] complex (B). Under UV-visible light (280 < λ < 580 nm) irradiation, these two compounds can further undergo photo-isomerization to form BN-embedded seven-membered azaborepin compounds (C). The observation of species A, B, and the subsequent photo-isomerization to species C is consistent with theoretical predictions, indicating that these reactions are kinetically favorable. This research provides valuable insights into the future design and synthesis of corresponding BN heterocyclic derivatives.

Abstract
Reaction of chlorine (Cl) radical with heterocyclic saturated ether, tetrahydrofuran has been studied. The detailed reactivity and mechanism of this reaction is analyzed using hybrid density functional theory (DFT), B3LYP and BB1K methods, and aug-cc-pVTZ basis set. To explore the mechanism of the reaction of tetrahydrofuran with Cl radical, four possible sites of hydrogen atom (H) abstraction pathways in tetrahydrofuran were analyzed. The barrier height and rate constants are calculated for the four H-abstraction channels. The BB1K calculated rate constant for α-axial H-abstraction is comparable with the experimentally determined rate constant. It reflects that α-axial H-abstraction is the main degradation pathway of tetrahydrofuran with Cl radical. DFT-based reactivity descriptors are also calculated and these values describe α-axial H-abstraction as the main reaction channel.
