Abstract
We synthesized covalent adaptable networks (CANs) made from chain-growth comonomers using nonisocyanate thiourethane chemistry. We derivatized glycidyl methacrylate with cyclic dithiocarbonate (GMA-DTC), did a free-radical polymerization of n-hexyl methacrylate with GMA-DTC to obtain a statistical copolymer with 8 mol % GMA-DTC, and cross-linked it with difunctional amine. The dynamic covalent thionourethane and disulfide bonds lead to CAN reprocessability with full recovery of the cross-link density; the temperature dependence of the rubbery plateau modulus indicates that associative character dominates the dynamic response. The CAN exhibits complete self-healing at 110 °C with tensile property recovery and excellent creep resistance at 90-100 °C. Stress relaxation at 140-170 °C reveals an activation energy of 105 ± 6 kJ/mol, equal to the activation energy (Ea) of the CAN poly(n-hexyl methacrylate) backbone α-relaxation. We hypothesize that CANs with exclusively or predominantly associative dynamics have their stress-relaxation Ea defined by the α-relaxation Ea. This hypothesis is supported by stress relaxation studies on a similar poly(n-lauryl methacrylate)-based CAN.

Aminocyclopropenium as a novel hydrogen bonding organocatalyst for cycloaddition of carbon disulfide and epoxide to prepare cyclic dithiocarbonate. RSC Adv 2024; 14:10378-10389. Abstract
The smallest Hückel aromatic ring cyclopropenium substituted by electron-donating C-amino groups produced a aminocyclopropenium electron-rich cation. A bifunctional aminocyclopropenium halide catalyst installed with bis-(hydroxyethyl) functions on the amino group was then designed. A typical (diethanolamino)cyclopropenium halide catalyst C5·I was screened optimally for the cycloaddition of carbon disulfide into an epoxide to produce cyclic dithiocarbonate with an excellent conversion (95%) and high selectivity (92%). The electrostatic enhancement of alkyl C-H HBD capability was implemented via vicinal positive charges on the cyclopropenium core, and the acidity of the terminal O-H hydrogen proton increased by intramolecular H-bonding between the two hydroxy groups on the diethanolamino group (O-H⋯O-H). Then, a hybrid H-bond donor comprising enhanced alkyl C-H and hydroxy O-H was formed. The hybrid HBD offered by aminocyclopropenium was vital in activating the epoxide and stabilizing the intermediate, resulting in reduced O/S scrambling. Moreover, weakly coordinated iodide anion served as a nucleophilic reagent to open the ring of the epoxide. The cooperative catalytic mechanism of the HBD cation and halide anion was supported by NMR titrations and control experiments. Eleven epoxides with various substituents were converted into the corresponding cyclic thiocarbonate with high conversion and selectivity under mild conditions (25 °C, 6 h) without a solvent. The cycloaddition of carbon disulfide with epoxides catalyzed by aminocyclopropenium developed a new working model for hydrogen bonding organocatalysis.

Abstract
Nonisocyanate polyurethane (NIPU) has been extensively studied because of its sustainability potential. However, the low reactivity of five-membered cyclocarbonates with amines and the side reactions at higher temperatures always sacrifice the performance of NIPUs. In this work, a bisphenol-S cyclic thiocarbonate and different amino-terminated dimer-acid polyamides (DAPAs) were used to prepare nonisocyanate polythiourethanes (SPTU-DAs). Wherein bisphenol-S acts as a hard segment due to a π-π package, plentiful hydrogen bonds introduced by DAPA units induce crystallization and nanophase separation. They both endow the NIPUs with high mechanical performance. Meanwhile, active cyclic thiocarbonate, instead of cyclic carbonate, ensures rapid synthesis under mild conditions without side reactions. The experimental results of DSC, WAXD, and DMA confirmed the existence of crystallization of SPTU-DAs. The as-prepared thermoplastic polythiourethane has a maximum strength of more than 10 MPa, which is stronger than those of the cross-linked nonisocyanate polythiourethanes reported. It is of key significance to obtain the high performance of nonisocyanate polythiourethanes.

Abstract
The development of a controlled and reliable method to construct well-defined sulfur-containing polymers has sparked great interest in polymer science. Herein, we present the trial on the copolymerization of isothiocyanates with episulfides in the presence of organic onium salts, which provides direct access to a class of sulfur-rich polymers. This methodology has combined advantages of simple operation, no metals, mild conditions (25-100 °C), controlled polymerization performance (Mn > 105 g mol-1, Đ < 1.3), and high reactivity (turnover frequency over 1000 h-1). The metal-free feature and versatility of the easily accessible monomers, along with fine adjustment of the final properties enable this strategy to be a feasible approach to produce sulfur-rich polymers (16 examples).

Abstract
Soluble organic-sulfur-zinc hybrid polymers were prepared via a one-pot reaction consisting of ring-opening addition and subsequent polycondensation. The first reaction is the nucleophilic ring-opening addition of 2-ethylhexylamine to multifunctional cyclic dithiocarbonates giving multiple thiols in situ. The sequential polycondensation of the in situ generated thiols with Zn(OAc)2 gave the target hybrid polymers. This one-pot method enabled the use of a shorter amine than the previous polycondensation of Zn(OAc)2 and purified thiols, which required octadecylamine to obtain a soluble product. The obtained hybrid polymers may be cast as composite films with polystyrene and poly(methyl methacrylate). Owing to the shorter alkyl chain, the calculated nD values of the products (1.60 or 1.61) are higher than that of the previous product bearing octadecyl chains (1.53).
