Abstract
An efficient palladium-catalyzed reaction of [60]fullerene with benzoic acids via carboxylic acid group-directed C-H bond activation is achieved. The obtained [60]fullerene-fused lactones can undergo a retro Baeyer-Villiger reaction to provide [60]fullerene-fused ketones via apparent reduction in the presence of triflic acid. A representative ketone product obtained by the reduction reaction can be employed as an overcoating layer for the electron-transporting layer in an n-type perovskite solar cell.

Abstract
An efficient and straightforward approach to synthesize salicylanilide aryl and alkyl sulfonates from 1,2,3-benzotriazin-4(3H)-ones and organosulfonic acids is described. This protocol is operationally simple and scalable, exhibits a broad substrate scope with high functional group tolerance, and affords the desired products in good to high yield. Application of the reaction is also demonstrated by converting the desired product to synthetically useful salicylamides in high yields.

A new and operationally simple approach for palladium-catalyzed C-H functionalization reactions utilizing an organophosphorus/sulfonate hypervalent iodine reagent as both an oxidant and the source of a functional group has been developed. Through this method, the oxidative phosphorylation-, sulfonation-, and hydroxylation of unactivated benzyl C(sp3)-H bonds, along with the hydroxylation and arylation of aryl C(sp2)-H bonds, are successfully realized under mild conditions and with excellent site-selectivity. The versatile C-OSO2R bond provides a platform for a wide array of subsequent diversification reactions.

Abstract
A KO tBu-promoted direct coupling reaction of phenols and [60]fullerene was disclosed. The reaction occurs exclusively at the C4-position of phenols with high regioselectivity and provides an efficient and inexpensive manner to various 4-[60]fullerephenols in good yields. The electrochemical properties of the products render the method attractive and valuable.

Abstract
Abstract Sultones, the cyclic esters of hydroxyl sulfonic acids, are a fascinating class of heterocycles and the recent years have witnessed an increasing interest in these molecules, especially in six-ring δ-sultones. The importance of these compounds is either because of their biological properties themselves or due to their versatility as intermediates in more complex target syntheses. Abstract
A novel type of fullerene derivatives, [60]fullerothiazolidinethiones (2), were obtained from the copper-catalyzed aerobic oxidative reaction of C60 with aliphatic primary amines and CS2 in 4:1 v/v DMF and o-DCB. The obtained products were fully characterized with the X-ray single-crystal diffraction and spectroscopic methods. Control experiment with maleic anhydride, an analogue to C60, also afforded thiazolidinethione product, but via a mechanism different from that of C60 judging from the structure difference between the two types of thiazolidinethione compounds, demonstrating the unique reactivity of C60.

Abstract
C70 bis-heterocyclic derivative (1) bearing one oxazoline ring and one imidazoline ring with the 2 o'clock configuration is obtained with high chemio- and regioselectivity via the reaction of C70 with hydroxide and benzonitrile quenched with I2. Further study with benzylation experiment and theoretical calculations indicate that the oxazoline ring is the one first formed on the C70 cage, while the imidazoline ring is the one formed after the addition of I2 via a radical coupling reaction mechanism.
