Abstract
This innovative reaction involved the [3+3] annulation of 2-amino-4H-chromen-4-ones and 4-benzylideneoxazol-5(4H)-ones. The process provided quick and easy access to a broad range of structurally diverse and highly functionalized 1,3,4,5-tetrahydro-2H-chromeno[2,3-b]pyridines in moderate to good yields, which possess trans-form C3 and C4 substituents.

Abstract
1,3,5-Triazinanes, as a kind of versatile building block, are applied in the synthesis of chromeno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-5-one derivatives via two different reaction modes, which perfectly exhibits the powerful function of 1,3,5-triazinane as a three-atom synthon along with the structure variation of another substrate. The two annulation reactions proceed under mild conditions and bear broad substrate scope and high yield.

Abstract
For the first time, the literature data on the methods of synthesis and reactivity of 3-(1-alkynyl)chromones are summarized and systematized. The main method for obtaining these compounds is the Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction of 3-halochromones with terminal acetylenes, and their most important chemical properties include the transformation into furans, reactions with dinucleophiles, ambiphilic [4+2]- and [4+3]-cyclizations, and also dimerization and mixed condensation of 2-methyl-3-(1-alkynyl)chromones due to the vinylogous methyl group. Except for the oxacyclization to furans, chemical transformations of 3-(1-alkynyl)chromones are accompanied by pyrone ring transformation, in which not only the carbonyl group but also the triple bond can participate. This significantly increases the synthetic value of these compounds and ensures the production of more complex heterocyclic systems based on them. The mechanisms of the reactions are discussed, the conditions for their implementation and the yields of the resulting products are indicated.

Abstract
Xanthones are a class of heterocyclic natural products that have been widely studied for their pharmacological potential. In fact, they have been serving as scaffolds for the design of derivatives focusing on drug development. One of the main study targets of xanthones is their anticancer activity. Several compounds belonging to this class have already demonstrated cytotoxic and antitumor effects, making it a promising group for further exploration. This review therefore focuses on recently published studies, emphasizing their natural and synthetic sources and describing the main mechanisms of action responsible for the anticancer effect of promising xanthones.

Abstract
A Zn(OTf)2-catalyzed formal [3 + 3] cascade annulation strategy for the synthesis of functionalized chromeno[2,3-b]pyridines has been developed using propargylic alcohols and 2-aminochromones as the substrates. The protocol provides a convenient and atom-economical method of accessing a broad range of chromeno[2,3-b]pyridine derivatives in excellent yields with good functional-group tolerance. The method is also effective on the gram scale, which highlights the inherent practicality of this synthetic transformation.

Abstract
A mild and efficient synthesis of novel benzochromeno[2,3- d]pyrimidine derivatives is described. A number of 8,10-dichloro-7-aryl-7 H-benzo[7,8]chromeno[2,3- d]pyrimidines and 9,11-dichloro-12-aryl-12 H-benzo[5,6]chromeno[2,3- d]pyrimidines were synthesised by the cyclisation of 2-amino-4-aryl-4H-benzo[ h]chromene-3-carbonitriles or 3-amino-1-aryl-1 H-benzo[ f] chromene-2-carbonitriles with bis(trichloromethyl) carbonate and triphenylphosphine oxide in moderate to good yields.
