Abstract
α,β-Unsaturated esters are key structural motifs widely distributed in various biologically active molecules, and their Z/E-stereoselective synthesis has always been considered highly attractive in organic synthesis. Herein, we present a >99% (E)-stereoselective one-pot synthetic approach towards β-phosphoroxylated α,β-unsaturated esters via a mild trimethylamine-catalyzed 1,3-hydrogen migration of the corresponding unconjugated intermediates derived from the solvent-free Perkow reaction between low-cost 4-chloroacetoacetates and phosphites. Versatile β,β-disubstituted (E)-α,β-unsaturated esters were thus afforded with full (E)-stereoretentivity by cleavage of the phosphoenol linkage via Negishi cross-coupling. Moreover, a stereoretentive (E)-rich mixture of a α,β-unsaturated ester derived from 2-chloroacetoacetate was obtained and both isomers were easily afforded in one operation.

Abstract
The β-H elimination, as one of the most important elementary reactions in transition metal chemistry, is a key step in quenching the carbon-palladium bond for the Heck reaction. However, the β-H elimination of the alkenyl palladium species leading to allene is an energetically unfavored process, and therefore, it has been a long-standing challenge in control of this process via enantioselective manner. We developed a concise and efficient methodology to construct trisubstituted chiral allenes from stereodefined fully substituted enol triflates by the enantioselective β-H elimination of the alkenyl palladium species under mild conditions. The identified Xu-Phos play a crucial role in the chemoselectivity and enantioselectivity. Multiple linear regression analysis shows the important steric effect on enantioselectivity. DFT computation results allow us to propose an intramolecular base (-OAc)-assisted deprotonation mechanism for this progress. Distortion-interaction and energy decomposition analysis indicate that the difference in electrostatic energy (Eelec) of the two intramolecular base-assisted deprotonation transition states dominates the stereoselectivity.

Abstract
A tandem reaction of 2-alkynylbenzaldoximes with propargylic alcohols has been developed for the synthesis of α-(4-bromo-isoquinolin-1-yl)-propenones. Employing 2-alkynylbenzaldoximes as a precursor in the presence of Br2 generates 4-bromo-isoquinoline-N-oxides. Subsequently, dehydroxylation of propargylic alcohols gives carbocation intermediates, which are trapped using the N-oxides, affording aryl-substituted α-enones.

Abstract
β-Iodo(III)enol carboxylates, phosphates, and tosylates can be efficiently synthesized through regio- and stereoselective iodo(III)functionalization of alkynes. The combination of chlorobenziodoxole and silver salt has proven to generate a versatile cationic iodine(III) electrophile to activate alkynes and engage various carboxylic acids, triethyl phosphate, and p-toluenesulfonic acid as nucleophiles. The β-iodo(III)enol esters serve as starting materials for the synthesis of multisubstituted alkenes through sequential cross-coupling of the C-I(III) and C-O bonds.

Abstract
We describe the first atropselective Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling of β-keto enol triflates to access axially chiral (Z)-diarylmethylidene indanones (DAIs). The chemical, physical, and biological properties of DAIs are unknown, despite their being structurally similar to arylidene indanones, primarily due to the lack of racemic or chiral methods. Through this work, we demonstrate a general and efficient protocol for the racemic as well as the atropselective synthesis of (Z)-DAIs. An unusual intramolecular Morita-Baylis-Hillman reaction is utilized for the Z-selective synthesis of β-keto enol triflates.

Abstract
We studied the reactions of vinyl phosphates and vinyl phosphordiamidates containing an ester functional group with organometallic reagents. We found that the functionalized vinyl phosphates were smoothly converted into tri- and tetrasubstituted buta-1,3-dienes via the reaction with aryllithium reagents. Moreover, the vinyl phosphordiamidates were converted into α,β-unsaturated ketones using Grignard reagents. Based on the performed experiments, we proposed a reaction mechanism, which was confirmed by means of the isolation of key intermediates. We studied the reactions of vinyl phosphates and vinyl phosphordiamidates containing an ester functional group with organometallic reagents.![]()

Abstract
The present study investigated the ability of bromovinyl phosphates to react with organozinc reagents at room temperature during palladium-catalyzed reactions. It was determined that both the bromine atom and the phosphate group were successfully substituted by means of the reaction with the organozinc reagents, thereby allowing for the synthesis of cyclic and acyclic tetrasubstituted double bonds. The low stability of the organozinc compounds in an acidic environment was exploited to accomplish the synthesis of alkenes using a one-pot, two-step experimental setup.

Abstract
A highly efficient palladium-catalyzed functionalization of allenylsilanes to give regio- and stereodefined fully-substituted alkenylsilanes has been developed. This oxidative coupling reaction showed good functional group compatibility with exclusive regio- and stereoselectivity. The pending olefin on the silyl group was shown to be an indispensable element for the initial allenic C(sp3 )-H bond cleavage, and performs as the directing group to control the overall selectivity. The addition of substoichiometric amounts of Et3 N was found to increase the reaction rate leading to a higher reaction yield. The reaction can be easily scaled up and applied for the late-stage functionalization of natural products and pharmaceutical compounds, including amino acids and steroid derivatives. The newly introduced functional groups include aryl, alkynyl, and boryl groups. The highly strained four-membered ring, silacyclobutene was obtained when B2 pin2 was employed as the coupling partner. Mechanistic studies, including kinetic isotope effects, showed that the allenic C(sp3 )-H bond cleavage is the rate-limiting step.

Abstract
Decarboxylative cross-coupling of aliphatic acid anhydrides with vinyl triflates or halides was accomplished via nickel catalysis. This methodology works well with a broad array of substrates and features abundant functional group tolerance. Notably, our approach addresses the issue of safe and environmental installation of methyl or ethyl group into molecular scaffolds. The method possesses high chemoselectivity toward alkyl groups when aliphatic/aromatic mixed anhydrides are involved. Furthermore, diverse ketones could be modified with our strategy.

Abstract
A highly stereocontrolled synthesis of tetrasubstituted acyclic all-carbon olefins has been developed via a stereoselective enolization and tosylate formation, followed by a palladium-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling of the tosylates and pinacol boronic esters in the presence of a Pd(OAc)2/RuPhos catalytic system. Both the enol tosylation and Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reactions tolerate an array of electronically and sterically diverse substituents and generate high yield and stereoselectivity of the olefin products. Judicious choice of substrate and coupling partner provides access to either the E- or Z-olefin with excellent yield and stereochemical fidelity. Olefin isomerization was observed during the Suzuki-Miyaura coupling. However, under the optimized cross-coupling reaction conditions, the isomerization was suppressed to <5% in most cases. Mechanistic probes indicate that the olefin isomerization occurs via an intermediate, possibly a zwitterionic palladium carbenoid species.

Abstract
An easy access to highly versatile gem-silylboronate synthons is achieved by means of a new olefination reagent, HC(Bpin)2 (SiMe3 ). Subsequent silicon or boron-based selective functionalization allows for the modular and stereocontrolled synthesis of all-carbon tetrasubstituted alkenes. A particular attraction of this approach is the iododesilylation reaction, which becomes a pivotal tool for C-Si functionalization.

Abstract
This report describes Brønsted acid catalyzed de novo synthesis of silyldienol ethers bearing tetrasubstituted double bonds via an intermediacy of 2-silyloxypentadienyl cations. The reactivity of these novel cationic intermediates could be modulated and harnessed toward direct nucleophilic additions regioselectively at the γ-position to produce highly functionalized silyldienol ethers with tunable control of the resulting double bond geometry.

Abstract
An efficient and selective Rh-catalyzed direct CH functionalization reaction of enol phosphates was developed. The method is applicable to a variety of coupling partners, including activated alkenes, alkynes, and allenes, and leads to the formation of various valuable alkenylated and hydroalkenylated enol phosphates through the action of the phosphate directing group. The versatility and utility of the coupling products were demonstrated through further transformations into synthetically useful building blocks.

Abstract
![]()
An
efficient method for the construction of Csp2–Csp3 bond in a regio- and stereoselective fashion involving 1,3-terminal
dienes, enol triflates/nonaflates, and sodium formate under Pd(0)-catalysis
is described. The three component assembly allows trapping of a π-allyl
intermediate, after the initial migratory insertion of the diene,
by a hydride source that leads to structurally complex and synthetically
challenging tri- and tetrasubstituted alkene building blocks.
