Abstract
Mechanistic investigation of the gold-catalyzed oxidative reactions of thioalkynes with quinoline N-oxides was performed using density functional theory (DFT) calculations. For the oxidative rearrangement of thioalkynes with quinoline N-oxide to yield the same products, the Cβ-oxidation of thioalkynes was predicted to be competitive with Cα-oxidation, with the Cβ-oxidative process slightly more favorable. However, for the oxidative alkenylation of propargyl aryl thioethers with quinoline N-oxides, the Cβ-oxidation of thioether by quinoline N-oxide generated the product 3-hydroxy-1-alkylidene phenylthiopropan-2-one. Moreover, the ring opening of the four-membered sulfonium intermediate was achieved by the nucleophilic attack of quinoline N-oxide rather than a water molecule.

Abstract
Polycyclic N-heterocycles are important structural motifs commonly found in bioactive compounds, however, their selective construction via the cyclization of allenynes remains challenging yet highly desirable. Here we show a homogeneous copper-catalyzed hetero Diels-Alder (HDA) reaction of allenynes with cis-diazenes (PTAD, 4-phenyl-1,2,4-triazoline-3,5-dione), allowing the practical and efficient synthesis of a diverse array of valuable polycyclic N-heterocycles. A temperature-controlled and stereocontrolled chemoselectivity of the reaction was observed, leading to the chemodivergent synthesis of tetracyclic pyrrolidines, pentacyclic triazepanes and tricyclic pyrrolidines. Compared with related Au-catalyzed cyclization of allenynes, this copper catalysis achieves cyclization of allenynes terminating in C-N bond formation via the HDA reaction.

Abstract
We developed an efficient synthesis of 2-fluoro-1,3-dicarbonyl compounds using readily available alkynyl ketones or esters as starting material. The key step is the insertion of hydrogen fluoride (HF) to the gold carbene intermediate generated from cationic gold catalyzed addition of N-oxides to alkynyl ketones or esters. This method gives excellent chemical yields and regioselectivity with good functional group tolerance.

Abstract
We developed a widely applicable, highly efficient synthesis of α-fluorosulfone and β-fluorovinylsulfone catalyzed by gold. Starting with alkynyl sulfone 1, an [Au]/HF/N-oxide system gives α-fluorosulfone 3 via a gold carbene intermediate, and, if no N-oxide is used, direct addition of HF to 1 gives vinyl sulfone 4 via a vinylfluoro gold intermediate. Both methods have good functional group tolerance and the reactions can be conducted in ambient atmosphere.

Abstract
A gold-catalyzed nitrogenation of alkynes for the synthesis of carbamides and amino tetrazoles through C-C and C≡C bond cleavages is described. A diverse set of functionalized carbamide and amino tetrazole derivatives were selectively constructed under mild conditions. The chemoselectivity can be easily switched by the selection of the acid additives. The reaction is characterized by its broad substrate scope, direct construction of high value products, easy operation under air, and mild conditions at room temperature. This chemistry provides a way to transform alkynes by splitting the substrate into three parts.
