Abstract
An unusual series of germylenes and stannylenes with homoleptic symmetric and unsymmetric N-substituted sulfonimidamide ligands PhSO(NiPr)(NHiPr) 1 and PhSO(NMes)(NHiPr) 2 have been prepared by protonolysis reaction of Lappert's metallylenes [M(HMDS)2] (M = Ge or Sn) with two equivalents of the appropriate sulfonimidamide. The homoleptic germylenes [PhSO(NiPr)2]2Ge 3 and [PhSO(NMes)(NiPr)]2Ge 4, and stannylenes [PhSO(NiPr)2]2Sn 5 and [PhSO(NMes)(NiPr)]2Sn 6 were fully characterized by NMR spectroscopy and by X-ray diffraction analysis. DFT calculations have been performed to understand the electronic properties brought by the sulfonimidamide ligand.

Abstract
The bulky bis(4,6-tBu-benzoxazol-2-yl)methane ligand system enabled the synthesis of the water-containing organometallic potassium complex [(18-crown-6)K{(4,6-tBu-OCNC6 H2 )2 CH}⋅H2 O] (2), which is an unprecedented example of a water-stable reactive organopotassium compound. Furthermore, 2 is a rare example of a bis(benzoxazol-2-yl)methanide ligand displaying solely O-coordination to a metal ion. Compound 2 was fully characterized through its solid-state structure. Furthermore, its behavior in solution was investigated by NMR titration DOSY experiments. These revealed full protonation of the complex only after seven days and the addition of 114 equivalents of water.

Abstract
The chemistry of the p-block elements is a huge playground for fundamental and applied work. With their bonding from electron deficient to hypercoordinate and formally hypervalent, the p-block elements represent an area to find terra incognita. Often, the formation of cations that contain p-block elements as central ingredient is desired, for example to make a compound more Lewis acidic for an application or simply to prove an idea. This review has collected the reactive p-block cations (rPBC) with a comprehensive focus on those that have been published since the year 2000, but including the milestones and key citations of earlier work. We include an overview on the weakly coordinating anions (WCAs) used to stabilize the rPBC and give an overview to WCA selection, ionization strategies for rPBC-formation and finally list the rPBC ordered in their respective group from 13 to 18. However, typical, often more organic ion classes that constitute for example ionic liquids (imidazolium, ammonium, etc.) were omitted, as were those that do not fulfill the - naturally subjective -"reactive"-criterion of the rPBC. As a rule, we only included rPBC with crystal structure and only rarely refer to important cations published without crystal structure. This collection is intended for those who are simply interested what has been done or what is possible, as well as those who seek advice on preparative issues, up to people having a certain application in mind, where the knowledge on the existence of a rPBC that might play a role as an intermediate or active center may be useful.

Abstract
The transformation of an amidinate germylene, equipped with just one accessible lone pair of electrons on the Ge atom, into a bidentate 4-electron donor κ(2)Ge,N-ligand, has been achieved for the first time, opening new doors to the non-carbene-like coordination chemistry of heavier carbene analogues.

Abstract
The reaction of SnCl(2) with the lithio derivative of a bis(oxazoline) ligand precursor afforded the enantiomeric chlorostannylene whose chloride ion can be substituted by several neutral or anionic Lewis donors. Abstraction of the chloride ion from the chlorostannylene with silver salts gave the corresponding tetrahydrofuran (THF) complexes of a chiral tin(ii) cation in 1,2-dimethoxyethane (DME) containing THF. That is, the reaction with silver hexafluoroantimonate (AgSbF(6)) afforded the THF complex without interaction with the counteranion. In contrast, reaction with silver triflate (AgOTf) gave the THF complex whose tin center had a pseudo-trigonal bipyramidal structure with two nitrogen atoms of a bidentate ligand and a lone pair at the equatorial positions and one of the oxygen atoms of triflate and an oxygen atom of THF at the apical positions in the solid state. Use of 3-methyltetrahydrofuran (3-MeTHF) instead of THF afforded the 3-MeTHF complexes, where the R-enantiomer of 3-MeTHF predominantly coordinates to the tin center. The previously reported germanium(II) analogue of the tin(II) cation indicated a similar enantioselectivity for the coordination of 3-MeTHF on the germanium center.
