Abstract
1- and 2-Tetrazolylacetonitrile (1- and 2-TAN) have been synthesized by the reaction of chloroacetonitrile with 1H-tetrazole under basic conditions. They further were reacted with sodium azide in the presence of zinc(II) chloride to form 5-((1H-tetrazol-1-yl)methyl)-1H-tetrazole (1-HTMT) and 5-((2H-tetrazol-2-yl)methyl)-1H-tetrazole (2-HTMT). The nitrogen-rich compounds have been applied as ligands for Energetic Coordination Compounds (ECCs) and show interesting coordinative behavior due to different bridging modes. The structural variability of the compounds has been proved by low-temperature X-ray analysis. The ECCs were analyzed for their sensitivities to provide information about the safety of handling and their capability to serve as primary explosives in detonator setups to replace the commonly used lead styphnate and azide. All colored ECCs were evaluated for their ignitability by laser initiation in translucent polycarbonate primer caps. In addition, the spin-crossover characteristics of [Fe(1-TAN)6](ClO4)2 were highlighted by the measurement of the temperature-dependent susceptibility curve.

Abstract
We present the synthesis of a zwitterionic triphosphenium molecule, tBu(C5H2)(PPh2)2PI (L), which can act as a single- or multidentate ligand with group 6, 7, 8 and 9 metal carbonyl complexes. Group 6, [M(CO)5L] complexes are formed under photolytic conditions, where the metal is bound at the P(i) center. In the case of Mo(CO)6, the bimetallic complex [M(CO)5LMo(CO)3] is generated, which features bonds to both the phosphorus(i) center and the cyclopentadienyl moiety of the molecule. Interestingly, group 7 and 9 metal carbonyl dimers generate bimetallic complexes in the form [M2(CO)nL], where both metal centers are bound at the phosphorus(i) center. A detailed analysis of these molecules is provided, including X-ray diffraction, multinuclear NMR, infrared spectroscopy and computational investigations.

Abstract
A series of functionalised bis-(benzothiazol-2-yl)-amine ligands and the related dimethylaluminium amides were synthesised and characterised. The solid state structural comparison reveals various coordination motifs, specific folding parameters and hydrogen bonding patterns in detail and guide the way to future Janus head ligand design.

Abstract
The reaction of the ligand precursors P[CH2NHAr(R)]3 () with (Me2N)3Mo[triple bond, length as m-dash]N generated the complexes P(CH2NAr(R))3Mo[triple bond, length as m-dash]N (), where Ar(R) = 3,5-(CH3)2C6H3 (), Ph (), and 3,5-(CF3)2C6H3 (), with (Me2N)3Mo[triple bond, length as m-dash]N generated the complexes P(CH2NAr(R))3Mo[triple bond, length as m-dash]N (). Complex was obtained in poor yield, due to the formation of P(CH2N-3,5-(CF3)2C6H3)2(CH2NH-3,5-(CF3)2C6H3)(NMe2H)(NMe2)Mo[triple bond, length as m-dash]N () as the major product. Reaction of with VMes3THF generated the paramagnetic complexes P(CH2NAr(R))3Mo(μ-N)V(Mes)3 (). The reaction of with Ni(acac)2 generated the Ni(0) complexes Ni[P(CH2NAr(R))3Mo[triple bond, length as m-dash]N]4 () in poor yield. These complexes were synthesized in higher yields from the reaction of with Ni(COD)2, where COD = 1,5-cyclooctadiene. Reaction of either with V(Mes)3THF or with Ni(COD)2 generated the paramagnetic nonanuclear complex Ni[P(CH2NAr(R))3Mo(μ-N)VMes3]4 ().

Abstract
In this paper we present the results of a high-resolution single crystal X-ray diffraction experiment at 15 K on a benzothiazol-substituted phosphane and a subsequent charge density study based on multipole refinement and a topological analysis according to Bader's quantum theory of atoms in molecules. Although two valence shell charge concentrations (VSCCs) in the non-bonding region of each phosphorus and sulfur atom were found, the integration of both heteroatomic basins emphasizes charge depletion. Nevertheless they are attractive for C-H···P and C-H···S hydrogen bonding in the solid state. The nature of the P-C bonds and the question of aromaticity in the heterocycles were subject to our investigations. The ellipticities along the bonds were analysed to approach delocalization. The source function is employed to visualise atomic contributions to aromaticity. Theoretical calculations have been carried out to compute nuclear chemical shifts, induced ring currents and a variety of delocalization indices. All applied measures for delocalization point in the same direction: while heteroaromaticity is present in the benzothiazolyl substituents, the bridging P-C bonds are only involved marginally, almost preventing total conjugation of the phosphane. The charge density distributions around the phosphorus and the sulfur atoms have very similar features but turn out to be chemically very different from each other. Commonly used simplifying concepts have difficulties in providing a comprehensive view on the electronic situation in the molecule. Our results raise doubts on the validity of the common interpretation of VSCCs as one-to-one representations of Lewis lone pairs.
