Abstract
Dendrimers exhibiting reversible redox properties have attracted extensive attention for their potential as electron transfer mediators, catalysts, and molecular sensors. In this study, we introduce intriguing G1 and G2 dendrimers featuring double-decker silsesquioxane cores and silylferrocene moieties. Through a carefully orchestrated sequence of condensation, reduction, and hydrosilylation reactions, these compounds were synthesized and comprehensively characterized spectroscopically and spectrometrically. Our investigation also encompassed the examination of their properties, including thermal stability, solubility in common organic solvents, and electrochemical behavior. We determined that these dendrimers possess the capability to form monolayers on platinum electrodes, which we conclusively demonstrated through the probing of cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy imaging. Notably, this study marks the first-ever example of modifying double-decker silsesquioxane cores with ferrocene groups while simultaneously representing one of the scarce instances of dendrimers exhibiting an open double-decker silsesquioxane core.

Abstract
Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS)-dendrimer hybrid materials have attracted great interest in the past ten years. The integration of inorganic POSS and organic dendrimer blocks in a single-phase material offers numerous possibilities to access desirable mechanical, optical, and biomedical properties for various applications. In this review article, we describe several kinds of POSS-dendrimer hybrid materials (POSS as the core, surface functionality, repeating unit of dendrimers and the POSS-dendron conjugates) with an emphasis on their synthetic strategies, tunable macroscopic properties, and potential applications. Moreover, the current trends, challenges and future directions of POSS-dendrimer hybrid materials are elaborated.

Abstract
A fluorinated and thermo-cross-linked polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) has been successfully synthesized by thermal polymerization of a fluorinated POSS monomer having an inorganic silsesquioxane core and organic side chains bearing thermo-cross-linkable trifluorovinyl ether groups. This new inorganic-organic hybrid polymer shows high thermostability with a 5 wt % loss temperature of 436 °C, as well as good transparency (a sheet with an average thickness of 1.5 mm shows high transmittance of 92% varying from 400 to 1100 nm). Moreover, the polymer exhibits both low dielectric constant (<2.56) and low dissipation factor (<3.1 × 10-3) in a wide range of frequencies from 40 Hz to 30 MHz even at a high frequency of 5 GHz. The polymer also shows low water uptake (<0.04%) and low Dk (near 2.63) after immersing it in water at room temperature for 3 days. These data imply that this polymer is very suitable to be utilized as a high-performance dielectric material for fabrication of high-frequency printed circuit boards or encapsulation resins for integrated circuit dies in the microelectronic industry. Furthermore, this work also provides a route for the preparation of fluorinated POSS-based polymers.
