Abstract
We report the room-temperature Pd-catalyzed methoxy-carbonylation with high branched selectivity using a new class of bisphosphine-picolinamide ligands. Systematic optimization of ligand structures and reaction conditions revealed the significance of both the picolinamide and bisphosphine groups in the ligand backbone. This strategic design of ligand was leveraged to deliver various α-substituted acrylates in good to excellent yields.

Abstract
The Heck-Mizoroki cross-coupling reaction is an important part of the synthetic chemist's toolbox, and it has been applied to a huge variety of different substrates. In contrast, the mechanism of the process is much less studied, and consequently less understood. There have been numerous studies reported over recent years, both experimental and theoretical, aimed at uncovering the inner working of this palladium-mediated coupling process. This perspective aims to review and compare these works and to provide an up-to-date view of this reaction.

Abstract
A highly rigid dibenzo[a,d]cycloheptenyl dibenzophosphole with a pre-organized concave shaped binding site acts as an efficient ligand in the palladium catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura coupling process between halogenoaromatics and phenylboronic acid.

Abstract
A new generation of PNP compounds bearing different diarylphosphine groups were prepared and used as ligands in palladium-catalysed Suzuki cross-coupling reactions. Rates of oxidative addition of iodobenzene to (PNP)Pd[0] complexes were measured using UV spectroscopy. Synergistic effects between the N- and P- substituents were identified and correlated in redox and catalytic chemistry.
