Abstract
Objective To provide an overview of the digital mental health care landscape for individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI). Methods PubMed, PsycInfo, and PSYNDEX were searched for articles meeting the following criteria: (1) article written in English or German; (2) digital psychosocial intervention; (3) SCI only; (4) treatment of individuals with SCI and not their relatives or caregivers. Records were screened by title and abstract and records meeting the inclusion criteria were obtained for full text screening. The references of identified articles were screened to find further relevant articles. The literature search was updated before submission. Risk of Bias was assessed by using the Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomized trials (RoB 2) and a narrative synthesis was conducted. Results Ten randomized-controlled trials (RCT) and ten non-randomized-controlled trials were identified and compared in this review, evaluating twelve internet- and mobile-based interventions, five smartphone apps, and three virtual reality applications. The interventions were primarily used as stand-alone aftercare programs. While some were not based on any theory, cognitive behavioral therapy mostly served as the theoretical basis for the online interventions. The extent of human support also varied greatly between the studies. The number of intervention modules ranged between 2 and 72. There were also major differences in outcome variables and effects. A meta-analytical evaluation of the data was not conducted due to heterogeneity of studies. Conclusion Digital applications to promote the psychosocial health of individuals with SCI are an emerging field of research with many treatment approaches still to come. First high quality RCT studies report promising results. Unfortunately, not all studies are of high quality or the interventions have been insufficiently adapted to the needs of people with SCI. Therefore, more research is needed to further develop applications, and to generalize and test the effects found in the long term.

Abstract
Purpose of Review Telehealth and telerehabilitation in spinal cord injury (teleSCI) is a growing field that can improve access to care and improve health outcomes in the spinal cord injury population. This review provides an overview of the recent literature on the topic of teleSCI and provides insights on current evidence, future directions, and considerations when using teleSCI for clinical care. Recent Findings TeleSCI is used most often for preventive health; management of chronic pain, anxiety, and depression; and rehabilitation-related interventions. As video telehealth becomes mainstream, growth in wearable monitors, bio and neurofeedback mechanisms, and app-based care is expected. Summary TeleSCI is growing in prevalence, demonstrates positive impact on health outcomes, and requires ongoing study to identify, refine, and implement best practices.

Abstract
CONTEXT Insufficient recruitment is a barrier to research and limits statistical power. We describe an initiative aimed to streamline recruitment and consent processes for inpatients with spinal cord injury or disease (SCI/D) via implementation of a Central Recruitment (CR) process. The CR process adhered to ethical standards, reduced participant burden, and maximized research participation. METHODS In this CR process, the inpatient's nurse affirmed suitability for research approach based on fluency, cognition and health stability. A patient research liaison (PRL) was the sole contact for information regarding the research process, and introduced ongoing studies, screened for eligibility, and completed the consent process(es). RESULTS Over five and a half years, 1,561 inpatients with SCI/D were screened for eligibility upon admission, of whom 80% (1256/1561) were deemed suitable for the PRL approach. Of those suitable for the CR process, 80% (1001/1256) agreed to discuss current research opportunities, 46% (235/516) consented to participate in one or more studies, and 86% (856/1001) agreed to future research contact. CONCLUSION This process adhered to ethical procedures and reduced the burden of having multiple researchers approach each individual inpatient regarding research participation, with high consent rates for low-risk studies. Future evaluation of the process scalability is underway.

Factors Affecting the Delivery and Acceptability of the ROWTATE Telehealth Vocational Rehabilitation Intervention for Traumatic Injury Survivors: A Mixed-Methods Study. Abstract
Background: Returning to work after traumatic injury can be problematic. We developed a vocational telerehabilitation (VR) intervention for trauma survivors, delivered by trained occupational therapists (OTs) and clinical psychologists (CPs), and explored factors affecting delivery and acceptability in a feasibility study. Methods: Surveys pre- (5 OTs, 2 CPs) and post-training (3 OTs, 1 CP); interviews pre- (5 OTs, 2 CPs) and post-intervention (4 trauma survivors, 4 OTs, 2 CPs). Mean survey scores for 14 theoretical domains identified telerehabilitation barriers (score ≤ 3.5) and facilitators (score ≥ 5). Interviews were transcribed and thematically analysed. Results: Surveys: pre-training, the only barrier was therapists’ intentions to use telerehabilitation (mean = 3.40 ± 0.23), post-training, 13/14 domains were facilitators. Interviews: barriers/facilitators included environmental context/resources (e.g., technology, patient engagement, privacy/disruptions, travel and access); beliefs about capabilities (e.g., building rapport, complex assessments, knowledge/confidence, third-party feedback and communication style); optimism (e.g., impossible assessments, novel working methods, perceived importance and patient/therapist reluctance) and social/professional role/identity (e.g., therapeutic methods). Training and experience of intervention delivery addressed some barriers and increased facilitators. The intervention was acceptable to trauma survivors and therapists. Conclusion: Despite training and experience in intervention delivery, some barriers remained. Providing some face-to-face delivery where necessary may address certain barriers, but strategies are required to address other barriers.

Abstract
Introduction: Telemedicine across many specialties in clinical practice has been established in the literature regarding technology platforms, privacy issues, cost, and clinical effectiveness. However, the lack of data in these areas applicable to spinal cord injury telerehabilitation (teleSCI) still exists. The gaps in these knowledge areas continue to hinder its widespread implementation and serve as pathways for focused efforts in teleSCI research. Objective: This systematic review aims to substantiate the clinical effectiveness and potential barriers to teleSCI implementation by verifying the statistical significance of various clinical outcomes from randomized trials published within the recent past decade. Methods: A qualitative synthesis of randomized studies, conducted across various regions, was systematically reviewed after identifying relevant records from database search engines. Applied filters in the search included publication dates (2010-2020), humans, full-text, and no language preference. The 13 studies were selected per Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses flow diagram, and the risk of bias across studies was evaluated by using the Physiotherapy Evidence Database scale of quality assessment. Results: Quantitative outcome measurements demonstrated positive impact across studies: 79.1% (34/43) of all measurements were statistically significant for positive outcomes and 18.6% (8/43) yielded no effect but were significant. Primary outcomes addressed various spinal cord injury (SCI) management areas; 38.5% (5/13) of studies also assessed secondary outcomes. Interventional platforms were conventional technologies used in telemedicine. One study (7.7%) achieved data encryption; no studies presented cost-analysis data. Conclusion: The majority of studies demonstrated significant positive outcomes to validate teleSCI clinical effectiveness through conventional technology. These results further expand our understanding of teleSCI's impact and its demonstrated potential for improving SCI individuals' lives. However, heterogeneity of selected studies limits the conclusive recommendations to address potential barriers to its widespread implementation. Moreover, the development of new data is warranted to promote "buy-in" of widespread teleSCI implementation.

Abstract
PURPOSE Chronic physical conditions often negatively affect work participation. The objective of this systematic review is to investigate the effectiveness and characteristics of vocational rehabilitation interventions for people with a chronic physical condition. METHODS Searches in five databases up to April 2020 identified 30 studies meeting our inclusion criteria. Two reviewers independently assessed and extracted data. The Grading of Recommendation, Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) framework was used to evaluate quality of evidence for three outcome measures related to work participation. RESULTS All vocational rehabilitation interventions consisted of multiple components, but their characteristics varied widely. Analysis of 22 trials yielded a moderate positive effect with moderate certainty of interventions on work status; analysis of five trials with low risk of bias showed a large positive effect with moderate certainty (risk ratio 1.33 and 1.57, respectively). In addition, in eight studies we found a moderate to small positive effect with low certainty on work attitude (standardized mean difference = 0.59 or 0.38, respectively). We found no effect on work productivity in nine studies. CONCLUSION The systematic review of the literature showed positive effects of vocational rehabilitation interventions on work status and on work attitude; we found no effect on work productivity.Implications for rehabilitationIn rehabilitation, addressing work participation of persons with a chronic physical condition using targeted interventions is beneficial to improve or sustain work participation, irrespective of the intervention characteristics and diagnosis.Interventions that include multiple components and offer individual support, whether or not combined with group sessions, are likely to be more effective in improving work participation in persons with a chronic physical condition.The overview of vocational interventions in this systematic review may assist healthcare professionals in making informed decisions as to which intervention to provide.Vocational rehabilitation, as well as studies on work participation in chronic disease, should include a long follow-up period to explore if work participation is sustainable and contributes to health and wellbeing.
