Stability of non-Newtonian nanofluid movement with heat/mass transportation passed through a hydro magnetic elongating/contracting sheet: multiple branches solutions

Nanomaterials have found wide applications in many fields, leading to significant interest in the scientific world, in particular automobile thermal control, heat reservoirs, freezers, hybrid control machines, paper creation, cooling organisms, etc. The aim of the present study is to investigate the MHD non-Newtonian nanofluid and time-based stability analysis to verify the stable branch by computing the smallest eigenvalue across a slendering, extending, or shrinking sheet with thermal radiation and chemical reactions. The basic flow equations have been obtained in terms of PDEs, which are then converted to ODEs in dimensionless form via a suitable transformation. Based on the MATLAB software package bvp4c, the numerical solution has been obtained for the system of equations. A comparative study of the present and published work is impressive. The influence of evolving factors such as Prandtl number, Schmidt number, magnetic factor, heat generation/absorption, thermal, thermophoresis factor, chemical factor, second-grade fluid factor, and Brownian number on the velocities, energy, and concentration patterns is discussed through graphs. It is perceived that the temperature distribution enriches owing to the greater magnitude of the heat source. Furthermore, it is observed that a greater magnitude of radiation improves the temperature curves. It is also investigated from the present analysis that concentration and temperature profiles increase due to the growing values of the thermophoresis factor.

Volumetric thermo-convective casson fluid flow over a nonlinear inclined extended surface

The thermophysical features of Casson fluid flow caused by a nonlinear permeable stretchable surface are assessed in the present study. The computational model of Casson fluid is used to define viscoelasticity, which is quantified rheologically in the momentum equation. Exothermic chemical reactions, heat absorption/generation, magnetic field and nonlinear volumetric thermal/mass expansion over the stretched surface are also considered. The proposed model equations are lessened by the similarity transformation to the dimensionless system of ODEs. The obtained set of differential equations are numerically computed through parametric continuation approach. The results are displayed and discussed via figures and tables. The outcomes of the proposed problem are compared to the existing literature and bvp4c package for the validity and accuracy purposes. It has been perceived that the energy and mass transition rate of Casson fluid increased with the flourishing trend of heat source parameter and chemical reaction respectively. Casson fluid velocity can be elevated by the rising effect of thermal, mass Grashof number and nonlinear thermal convection.

MHD Dissipative Williamson Nanofluid Flow with Chemical Reaction Due to a Slippery Elastic Sheet Which Was Contained within a Porous Medium

The reasons why the model of non-Newtonian nanofluids is more applicable than other models, particularly those that take the porous medium into account, are studied here. Thus, we looked at the heat and mass transfer features of a non-Newtonian Williamson nanofluid flow due to a stretched sheet under the impact of chemical reactions, slip velocity, viscous dissipation, and the magnetic field in this article. The main focus is on a situation in which the properties of Williamson nanofluid, such as viscosity and thermal conductivity, change with temperature. After utilizing the shooting technique, a numerical solution to the suggested problem is provided. As a result, several graphs have been drawn to highlight how various physical characteristics that arise in the problems affect velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles. It was discovered that the heat and mass transmission processes are affected by the viscous dissipation phenomena, the slip velocity assumption, and the magnetic field. Theoretical and numerical results show a high level of qualitative agreement.

Micropolar Dusty Fluid: Coriolis Force Effects on Dynamics of MHD Rotating Fluid When Lorentz Force Is Significant

The main objective of this investigation to examine the momentum and thermal transportation of rotating dusty micropolar fluid flux with suspension of conducting dust particles across the stretched sheet. The novelty of the flow model is the exploration of the significance of boosting the volume concentration of dust particles in fluid dynamics. The governing PDEs of the problem for both phase models are transmuted into nonlinear coupled non-dimensional ODEs by utilizing suitable similarity modifications. The bvp4c technique was utilized in MATLAB script to acquire a graphical representation of the experimental results. This study illustrates the analysis of repercussions of pertinent parameters on non-Newtonian fluid and the dusty phase of fluid. By improving the volume concentration of dust particles and rotating parameters, the axial velocity for both phases depreciates, whereas temperature and transverse velocity for both phases have the opposite behavior. The micro-rotation distribution rises with higher contributions of rotating and material parameters, whereas it decreases against larger inputs of volume concentration of dust particles. The growing strength of the dust volume fraction (ϕd) caused the coefficient of skin friction to decrease along the x direction, and the skin friction coefficient is raised along the y direction.

Dusty Nanoliquid Flow through a Stretching Cylinder in a Porous Medium with the Influence of the Melting Effect

The melting effect, a type of heat transferal process, is a fascinating mechanism of thermo-physics. It is related to phase change issues that occur in several industrial mechanisms. Glass treatment, polymer synthesis, and metal processing are among these. In view of this, the current investigation explicates the flow of a dusty nanofluid through a stretching cylinder in a porous medium by considering the effect of the melting heat transfer phenomenon. Using the required similarity transformations, the governing partial differential equations (PDEs) showing the energy transference and fluid motion in both the liquid and dust phases were translated into ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The numerical solutions for the acquired ODEs were developed using the Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg method of fourth–fifth order (RKF-45) and the shooting process. Graphical representations were used to interpret the effects of the governing parameters, including the porosity parameter, the Eckert number, and the stretching and melting parameters, on the respective velocity and temperature profiles for both the fluid and dust phases. The skin friction coefficient and the Nusselt number were also discussed and tabulated. The outcomes show that enhancing the porosity parameter will diminish the fluid- and dust-phase velocities. Fluid velocity, dust-phase velocity, and temperature improve with escalating values of the curvature parameter, whereas the melting effect reduces the thermal profiles of the fluid and dust phases. The surface drag force declines with an improvement in curvature and porosity constraints.

Computational Analysis of Nanoparticle Shapes on Hybrid Nanofluid Flow Due to Flat Horizontal Plate via Solar Collector

The present work discusses the 2D unsteady flow of second grade hybrid nanofluid in terms of heat transfer and MHD effects over a stretchable moving flat horizontal porous plate. The entropy of system is taken into account. The magnetic field and the Joule heating effects are also considered. Tiny-sized nanoparticles of silicon carbide and titanium oxide dispersed in a base fluid, kerosene oil. Furthermore, the shape factors of tiny-sized particles (sphere, bricks, tetrahedron, and platelets) are explored and discussed in detail. The mathematical representation in expressions of PDEs is built by considering the heat transfer mechanism owing to the effects of Joule heating and viscous dissipation. The present set of PDEs (partial differential equations) are converted into ODEs (ordinary differential equations) by introducing suitable transformations, which are then resolved with the bvp4c (shooting) scheme in MATLAB. Graphical expressions and numerical data are obtained to scrutinize the variations of momentum and temperature fields versus different physical constraints.

Soret and Dufour effects on a Casson nanofluid flow past a deformable cylinder with variable characteristics and Arrhenius activation energy

In this study, the effects of variable characteristics amalgamated with chemical reaction and Arrhenius activation energy are analyzed on a two-dimensional (2D) electrically conducting radiative Casson nanoliquid flow past a deformable cylinder embedded in a porous medium. The surface of the cylinder is deformable in the radial direction i.e., the z-axis. The impression of Soret and Dufour's effects boosts the transmission of heat and mass. The flow is analyzed numerically with the combined impacts of momentum slip, convective heat, and mass conditions. A numerical solution for the system of the differential equations is attained by employing the bvp4c function in MATLAB. The dimensionless protuberant parameters are graphically illustrated and discussed for the involved profiles. It is perceived that on escalating the velocity slip parameter and porosity parameter velocity field depreciates. Also, on escalating the radiation parameter and heat transfer Biot number a prominent difference is noticed in an upsurge of the thermal field. For growing values of Brownian motion and thermophoretic parameters, temperature field augments. On escalating the curvature parameter and porosity parameter, drag force coefficient upsurges. The outcome of the Soret number, mass transfer Biot number, and activation energy parameter is quite eminent on the concentration distribution for the sheet in comparison to the deformable cylinder. A comparative analysis of the present investigation with an already published work is also added to substantiate the envisioned problem.

Non-linear convective flow of the thin film nanofluid over an inclined stretching surface

To enhance the surface properties of solids the mechanism of thin films is frequently used. Penetration, degradation, stiffness, illumination, diffusion, absorption, and electric performance are all characteristics of a bulk substance medium that a thin film can improve. In nanotechnology, thin film processing can be extremely useful. Therefore, the time-dependent nonlinearly convective stream of thin film nanoliquid over an inclined stretchable sheet with magnetic effect is investigated in current work. The features of mass and heat transport processes are explained using important factors like thermophoresis and Brownian movement. Nonlinear partial differential equations are obtained to model the time-dependent liquid film flow over an inclined surface, which are then turned into couple ordinary differential equations utilizing appropriate alterations. The results of the computation of the model problem are collected using an analytical approach Homotopy Analysis Method and presented the final finding numerically and graphically. During the flow assessment, the impact of individual flow factors such as magnetic, Brownian, and thermophoresis parameters on regular profiles (temperature, velocity, and concentration) are analyzed and found to be quite remarkable. Furthermore, the consequence of M and N_t factors on the velocity, concentration and thermal distribution leads to diminishing conduct. Fractional model for MHD flow of Casson fluid with cadmium telluride nanoparticles using the generalized Fourier's law

The present work used fractional model of Casson fluid by utilizing a generalized Fourier's Law to construct Caputo Fractional model. A porous medium containing nanofluid flowing in a channel is considered with free convection and electrical conduction. A novel transformation is applied for energy equation and then solved by using integral transforms, combinedly, the Fourier and Laplace transformations. The results are shown in form of Mittag-Leffler function. The influence of physical parameters have been presented in graphs and values in tables are discussed in this work. The results reveal that heat transfer increases with increasing values of the volume fraction of nanoparticles, while the velocity of the nanofluid decreases with the increasing values of volume fraction of these particles.

Finite Element Study of Bio-Convective Stefan Blowing Ag-MgO/Water Hybrid Nanofluid Induced by Stretching Cylinder Utilizing Non-Fourier and Non-Fick's Laws

In the present framework, an analysis on nanofluid magneto-transport phenomena over an extending cylinder influenced by gyrotactic behavior of algal suspension, is made using the Cattaneo–Christov heat flux (non-Fourier) and mass flux (non-Fick’s) concept in modified Buongiorno’s model. Two dimensional incompressible MHD hybrid nanofluid which comprises chemically reactive hybrid nanomaterials (Ag-MgO NPs) and Stefan blowing effect along with multiple slips is considered. The experimental correlations with their dependency on initial nanoparticle volume fraction are used for viscosity and thermal conductivity of nanofluids. Similarity transformation is used to convert the governing PDE’s into non-linear ODE’s along with boundary conditions, which are solved using the Galerkin Finite Element Method (GFEM). The mesh independent test with different boundary layer thickness (ξ∞) has been conducted by taking both linear and quadratic shape functions to achieve a optimal desired value. The results are calculated for a realistic range of physical parameters. The validation of FEM results shows an excellent correlation with MATLAB bvp5c subroutine. The warmth exhibitions are assessed through modified version of Buongiorno’s model which effectively reflects the significant highlights of Stefan blowing, slip, curvature, free stream, thermophoresis, Brownian motion and bio-convection parameters. The present study in cylindrical domain is relevant to novel microbial fuel cell technologies utilizing hybrid nanoparticles and concept of Stefan blowing with bioconvection phenomena.
