Entropy Study of Hybrid (Al2O3–Cu/H2O) Nano-Fluid in a Cylindrical Cavity with Wavy Sides Under the Effect of a Parallel Magnetic Field

The convection and entropy of a hybrid nanofluid were investigated in a cylindrical chamber. Inside the cylinder, we have added a rectangular fin with a temperature of Th. Tc applied on the right waving wall. Insulation installed on both the top and bottom walls. The induction of a steady magnetic field is included in this research. Governing equations are resolved by Galerkin finite element method (GFEM) and it’s utilized to treat the controlling equations obtained by giving different characteristics of fluid like The porosity, cylinder rayon and the size of the nano particles with Rayleigh, Hartmann and Darcy numbers. This information is crucial for controlling both fluid flow and the heat transfer rate for normal convection. The results of the solution demonstrate that Da influences the entropy and leads to a decrease in the generation of entropy. The Nusselt mean differs in a straight line with the dynamic. The domain of flows through the sublime modes while it acts contrary with the magnetic force. The use of a rectangular fin inside a cylindrical enclosure rather than traditional ones, as well as the evaluation of its optimal dimensions, was novel in this paper. Moreover, the novelty of this study is that it fills a research gap by looking into the effect of the specific shape of the walls of the porous chamber on heat flux.

A mathematical model formulated employing the time-dependent Oberbeck–Boussinesq equations with non-primitive variables has been worked out by the finite difference technique. It has been revealed that a mixture of 1% carboxymethylcellulose with water can be the most effective medium to cool the heat-generating elements. At the same time, aluminum oxide nano-sized solid particles have a more essential cooling impact on the heated sections.

In the part dedicated to the findings and discussion, the properties of these emergent parameters are described in more depth. Nonetheless, the thermal radiation and heat sink factors increase the thermal profile. In addition, the greater density of the copper nanoparticles cause the nanoparticle volume fraction to lessen the velocity delineation.

Transport properties of two-dimensional dissipative flow of hybrid nanofluid with Joule heating and thermal radiation

The important feature of the current work is to consider the pressure variation, heat transport, and friction drag in the hydromagnetic radiative two-dimensional flow of a hybrid nanofluid depending on the viscous dissipation and Joule heating across a curved surface. The curved surface has been considered with the binary heating process called as prescribed heat flux and surface temperature. The basic partial differential equation (PDEs) has been converted into the non-dimensional ordinary differential equations (ODEs) by applying some specified dimensionless transformations. The bvp4c built-in package in MATLAB has been considered to find the numerical solution of the consequential equations. The graphical results have been plotted in terms of pressure, friction drag, velocity, temperature, and heat transport. It is found that the heat transport rate respectively reduces and enhances with the enhancement of radiation parameter and Hartmann number as well as the friction drag is enhancing with the high-volume fraction of nanoparticles and Hartmann number. Moreover, enhancing curvature parameter, enhances the friction drag and declines the heat transport rate. The current work renders uncountable applications in several engineering and industrial systems like electronic bulbs, electric ovens, geysers, soil pollution, electric kettle, fibrous insulation, etc. Moreover, the heating as well as the cooling systems of electrical, digital, and industrial instruments, are controlled by the heat transport in fluids. Thus, it is important to use such flows in these types of instruments.

Natural Convection Water/Glycerin–CNT Fractionalized Nanofluid Flow in a Channel with Isothermal and Ramped Conditions

This article investigates heat and mass transport enrichment in natural convection fractionalized nanofluid flow inside a channel with isothermal and ramped wall conditions under the effects of chemical reactions, radiation, heat absorption, and the Soret effect. To obtain the fractional model, the Caputo time-fractional derivative definition is used, and analytical results are obtained by the Laplace transform. In two base fluids, water and glycerin, the impacts of two nanoparticles, single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and multiple-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), are investigated. The comparison of six distinct fluids, including water, water–SWCNT, water–MWCNT, glycerin, glycerin–SWCNT and glycerin–WMCNT, is explored graphically. Physical parameters’ effects on isothermal and ramped conditions are graphically depicted and explained in depth. For isothermal wall conditions, the variation in concentration, temperature and velocity is exponential, while for ramped wall conditions, the variation is steady. Finally, the results of skin frictions, Nusselt numbers and Sherwood numbers and for both ramped wall and isothermal wall conditions are evaluated in tabular form for various values of volume fraction. Moreover, it is observed that the temperature, velocity, Nusselt numbers and skin frictions increase by increasing the volume fraction of CNTs.
