Abstract
A structure-determined silver nanocluster of [Ag10 (Eth)4 (CF3 COO)6 (CH3 OH)3 ]·3C-H3 OH (Eth = ethisterone) (1), is firstly demonstrated by self-assembly of silver salt and ethisterone. Due to the thiophilicity of silver(I) ions, complex 1 shows reactivity with glutathione (GSH) molecules in solution and induces the fluorescence quenching behavior. Thus, complex 1 can be used as a fluorescent sensor for GSH. In consideration of the higher level of GSH in cancerous cells, complex 1 presents significant tumor suppression reactivity toward the human hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2) cells with IC50 value of 165 × 10-9 m. Especially, complex 1 displays 3.4-fold higher in vitro cytotoxicity to HepG2 cells than that of the normal CCC-HEL-1 cells, which makes complex 1 a potential targeting suppression agent for cancerous cells. The molecular design of complex 1 not only generates a new medicine-silver(I) cluster family, but also opens a new avenue to the targeting anticancer organosilver(I) materials.

Abstract
A polyoxometalate-templated silver thiolate nanocluster, [Ag62(S(t)Bu)40(Mo20O66)(Mo6O19)3(CH3CN)2]·(CF3SO3)4 (1), has been isolated, in which a giant peanut-like silver(i)-thiolate cluster [Ag62(S(t)Bu)40](22+) encapsulates an unprecedented [Mo20O66](12-) polyoxoanion core. It opens a new approach for the synthesis of both elusive polyoxometalates and high-nuclearity silver(i)-thiolate nanoclusters.

Abstract
The combined use of thiolate and diphosphine as surface ligands helps to stabilize subnanometer Ag(0) nanoclusters, resulting in the successful crystallization of two Ag(0)-containing nanoclusters (Ag16 and Ag32) for X-ray single crystal analysis. Both clusters have core-shell structures with Ag8(6+) and Ag22(12+) as their cores, which are not simply either fragments of face-centered cubic metals or their five-fold twinned counterparts. The clusters display UV-Vis absorption spectra consisting of molecule-like optical transitions.

Abstract
In the title compound, [Na(C6H5NH)(C4H10O2)], the Na+ cation is coordinated by the N atoms of two anilide anions, two O atoms of a chelating 1,2-dimethoxyethane (dme) ligand and one O atom of an adjacent dme ligand. The coordination polyhedron around Na+ corresponds to a distorted square pyramid with the N atoms of the anilide groups and the O atoms of the chelating dme unit at the base and a third O atom at the apical position. The anilide anions act as μ-bridging ligands and the 1,2-dimethoxyethane molecules display a μ2-κ3-O,O′ coordination mode. As a result of this connectivity, a polymeric chain structure parallel to [100] is formed, consisting of Na2O2 and Na2N2 four-membered rings. It should be noted that the remaining H atom of the anilide NH group is not involved in hydrogen bonding.

Abstract
The aim of this paper is to introduce a synthetic concept suitable for the preparation of a broad variety of compounds. The so-called anhydride route (in this article the term anhydride is used for compounds derived from corresponding acids by formal loss of H2O, H2S and H2Se) has so far led to a range of unusual Group 15/16 ligands in oligomeric and polymeric environments. Commonly, reactions of neutral precursor molecules, for example, [{RP(S)(mu-S)}2] (R=4-anisyl) Lawesson's reagent or [{PhP(Se)(mu-Se)}2] Woollins's reagent and metal salts are performed to result in novel coordination compounds in which ligands and metal atoms form coordination oligomers and polymers. An attempt is made to relate the outcome of the investigations to the type of metal used. By relating the strength of ionic interactions, which correspond to metal-donor distances, to phenomena observed in the solid-state structures, an aspect of supraionic chemistry is described. Chemistry of and beyond novel Group 15/16 anions is further discussed using a novel approach in coordination chemistry where the chemical nature of ligands is unknown prior to the experiment despite the use of a range of similar starting materials.
