Abstract
Two organic-inorganic hybrid zinc phosphites incorporating 1,2,4,5-tetrakis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene (TIMB) molecules were synthesized under hydro(solvo)thermal methods and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXD). Interestingly, the solvent ratio of water to dimethylformamide induced the formation of a new compound of Zn2(TIMB)0.5(HPO3)2·3H2O (1) and our previously reported structure of Zn2(TIMB)0.5(HPO3)2·H2O (2). Additionally, their dehydrated crystals (1a and 2a) were prepared through heat treatment at 150 °C. SCXD and powder X-ray diffraction showed that all four compounds share the same framework formula of Zn2(TIMB)0.5(HPO3)2 but exhibit a huge difference in their inorganic components and final structures. In 1 and 1a, the inorganic units formed two-dimensional zincophosphite layers, while in 2 and 2a, they formed one-dimensional chains. The inorganic parts of 1 (1a) and 2 (2a) were bridged with TIMB linkers, resulting in 3D structures with rectangular and tubular windows, respectively. Furthermore, 1 was coated on the screen-printed carbon electron as a hybrid material, displaying excellent performance while having a linear relationship with an R2 value of 0.99 within the concentration range of 10-10 to 10-6 mol/L for detecting tryptamine (Try) molecules. Moreover, the results showed that 1 exhibits an ultralow limit of detection of 5.43 × 10-11 mol/L and high specificity toward Try over histamine, ascorbic acid, uric acid, and glucose. The synthesis, structural diversity, stability, and sensing ability are also discussed.

Abstract
Color-tunable room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) with potential in many fields is of great importance but extremely challenging. It is necessary to comprehend the correlation between the molecular structure and property to design and synthesize such materials. Metal-organic coordination polymers (CPs) with good predesignability and precise structure have become a platform to construct RTP materials. Herein, three zinc-based CPs containing halogen and a flexible tetradentate ligand are synthesized. All of these CPs present two constant emission regions and an excitation-dependent emission region. Structure-property analysis shows that these emissions originate from isolated chromophores and dimerized chromophores as well as various charge transfers. The phosphorescence colors of these CPs can be modulated by excitation and temperature. This study provides a novel strategy to construct multicolor and multiresponsive RTP materials based on metal-organic coordination polymers.

Abstract
Developing functional materials that directly integrate into miniaturized devices for sensing applications is essential for constructing the next-generation point-of-care system. Although crystalline structure materials such as metal organic frameworks are attractive materials exhibiting promising potential for biosensing, their integration into miniaturized devices is limited. Dopamine (DA) is a major neurotransmitter released by dopaminergic neurons and has huge implications in neurodegenerative diseases. Integrated microfluidic biosensors capable of sensitive monitoring of DA from mass-limited samples is thus of significant importance. In this study, we developed and systematically characterized a microfluidic biosensor functionalized with the hybrid material composed of indium phosphate and polyaniline nanointerfaces for DA detection. Under the flowing operation, this biosensor displays a linear dynamic sensing range going from 10-18 to 10-11 M and a limit of detection (LOD) value of 1.83 × 10-19 M. In addition to the high sensitivity, this microfluidic sensor showed good selectivity toward DA and high stability (>1000 cycles). Further, the reliability and practical utility of the microfluidic biosensor were demonstrated using the neuro-2A cells treated with the activator, promoter, and inhibiter. These promising results underscore the importance and potential of microfluidic biosensors integrated with hybrid materials as advanced biosensors systems.

Abstract
Room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) materials with recognizable afterglow property have gained widespread attraction. Multicolor RTP has added benefits in multiplexed biological labeling, a zero background ratiometric sensor, a multicolor display, and other fields. However, it is a great challenge to prepare multicolor RTP from a single-component compound according to Kasha's rule. Herein, we propose a strategy to design multicolor RTP in a metal-organic hybrid framework through constructing chromophores in both isolated state and dimer state using a flexible tetradentate ligand. Two compounds were synthesized that presented blue and green dual phosphorescence with different lifetimes at ambient conditions. The photoluminescence mechanism has been thoroughly studied by structure-property analysis. This study provides various possibilities to prepare high-performing RTP materials by the rational design and synthesis of similar compounds.

Abstract
Two complexes, {[Mn(3-pmpmd)2(Cl)2]·2H2O}n(1), {[Cd(3-pmpmd) (I)2]·CHCl3·H2O}n(2), (3-pmpmd, N,N'-bis(3-pyridylmethyl)pyromellitic diimide) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analyses, and X-ray single-crystal structure analysis. The conformations of 3-pmpmd ligand affect their structural diversity. Complex 1 is a 1D double chain structure in edge-to-edge arrangement by π⋯π interactions. Complex 2 is a typical 1D zigzag chain structure arranged in a parallel array containing 1D channel to accommodate the chloroform and water guest molecules. Thermal stabilities and fluorescence properties of both complexes were investigated. The solution of complex 2 in DMF can sense for I- anion by quenching fluorescence intensity, whereas other anions increasing fluorescence intensity.

Abstract
Under different synthesis conditions, a series of compounds based on the L ligand are obtained. The resulting compounds, 1–7, show different structural features, involving interpenetrating, interlocked, puncturing, and pillared-layered frameworks.

Abstract
In the title complex, [CdCl(2)(C(4)H(8)O(2))](n), two different Cd(II) ions are present, one in a general position and one with site symmetry 2. The Cd(II) ions are coordinated by two O atoms from two 1,4-dioxane ligands and four chloride anions in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry and is connected to neighboring Cd(II) ions by two bridging chloride anions, generating infinite linear chains along the a axis. These chains are further inter-connected by bridging 1,4-dioxane ligands, affording a three-dimensional network.
