Abstract
Phosphenium ions [R2P]+ are important and highly reactive dicoordinate phosphorus species. Herein, we report a rearrangement of the carbocation into the phosphenium cation driven by ring strain. This phosphorus-involved Wagner-Meerwein rearrangement pathway converted the 1-acylphosphirane complex into phosphetane and 1,2-dihydrophosphete derivatives depending on the reaction temperature. The generation of the intermediate phosphenium cation was identified by the intramolecular reaction with ether, which also disclosed its strong Lewis acidity. This work expands the boundary of the phosphorus-carbon analogy.

Abstract
A regioselective protocol for the synthesis of cyclopropyl derivatives that relies on Brookhart acid-catalyzed dehydrative coupling over substituted cyclopropylcarbinols without rearrangement is reported herein. The reactions proceed promptly at 25 °C with only 2.0 mol % catalyst loading and produce the cyclopropyl derivatives in excellent yields. This method is well tolerated with a vast range of cyclopropylcarbinols including aliphatic cyclopropylcarbinols, where no elimination product was obtained, demonstrating the protocol's utility. Further, the Hammett correlation suggested the formation of a cyclopropylcarbinyl cation followed by a coupling reaction. An extremely effective gram-scale reaction has also been demonstrated with a high turnover number.

Abstract
Cyclopropyl-cyclopropyl rearrangement can be achieved selectively by intramolecular trapping of cyclopropylmethyl carbenium ions with an internal nucleophile. This can be exploited as a useful method for the introduction of a cyclopropyl group into complex molecules using readily accessible disubstituted cyclopropane intermediates.

Abstract
The first organocatalytic asymmetric synthesis of a spirooxindole skeleton incorporated with a cyclobutane moiety has been successfully developed on the basis of H-bond-directing dienamine activation. Structurally complex spirocyclobutyl oxindoles, which possess four contiguous stereocenters, including one spiro quaternary center, were obtained in good yields (up to 83%) with excellent β,γ-regioselectivity (>19:1) and stereocontrol (up to >19:1 dr and 97% ee).

Abstract
Two cyclopropyl allenylidene complexes [Ru]=C=C=C(R)(C(3)H(5)) ([Ru]=[RuCp(PPh(3))(2)], Cp=Cyclopentadienyl; R=thiophene (2a) and R=Ph (2b)) are prepared from the reactions of [Ru]Cl with the corresponding 1-cyclopropyl-2-propyn-1-ol in the presence of KPF(6). Thermal treatment, halide-anion addition, and palladium-catalyzed reactions of 2a and 2b all lead to a ring expansion of the cyclopropyl group, giving the vinylidene complexes 4a and 4b, respectively, each with a five-membered ring. This ring expansion proceeds by C-C bond formation between Cβ of the cumulative double bond and a methylene group of the cyclopropyl ring. In the reaction of 2a with pyrrole, consecutive formation of two C-C bonds, one between C-2 of pyrrole and Cγ of 2a and the other between C-3 of pyrrole and Cα, results in the formation of 6a. The reaction proceeds by addition of pyrrole and 1,3-proton shifts. The hydrogenation of 2a by NaBH(4) is carried out in different solvents. The cumulative double bonds are reduced regioselectively to give a mixture of 7a and 8a. Interestingly, use of different solvents leads to different ratios of 7a and 8a. Presence of a protic solvent like methanol in dichloromethane or chloroform solution increases the yield of 8a, thus revealing that both the rates of hydroboration and deboronation increase. The structures of two new complexes 4a and 6a have been firmly established by X-ray diffraction analysis.

Abstract
A new type of TfOH-catalyzed tandem cyclopropane ring enlargement/C-C formation/etherification reaction between alkynylcyclopropanes and 1,3-diketones to cyclobutane-fused dihydrofurans is described. The reaction tolerates a range of aryl and alkyl substituents with moderate to good yields.
