Abstract
Four self-assembled inorganic-organic hybrid materials, namely, H{Na(H2O)3[Gd(PDA)(H2O)2]3[BW12O40]}·4H2O (1), H{Na(H2O)3[Tb(PDA)(H2O)2]3[BW12O40]}·3H2O (2), H{Na(H2O)3[Er(PDA)(H2O)3]3[BW12O40]}·H2O (3) (PDA = 1,10-phenanthroline-2,9-dicarboxylate), and [Pr3(H2O)13(pydc-OH)2][BW12O40]·12H2O (4) (pydc-OH = 4-hydroxy-2,6-pyridinedicarboxylate), were hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized. Hybrids 1-3 are isostructural and contain a Keggin unit, which is linked to lanthanoids to produce distinct trinuclear lanthanoid building blocks. The fragments are connected by anion-π and hydrogen bonding interactions to create 3D networks. In hybrid 4, a trimeric Pr-organic species bearing a Keggin unit forms a 2D coordination polymer, and then hydrogen bonding interactions between 2D layers lead to the formation of a 3D structure. These polyoxometalate-based frameworks were used as sorbents for the dispersive microsolid-phase extraction (D-μSPE) of two anticancer drugs (doxorubicin and epirubicin) in human plasma samples. Analytes were quantified and separated using high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection (HPLC-FLD). The method's linearity was between 0.8-500 ng mL-1 and 1.0-500 ng mL-1 for the antineoplastic drugs doxorubicin and epirubicin, respectively. The limits of detection (S/N = 3) were in the range of 0.2-0.3 ng mL-1, while the precision was in the range of 3.5-4.3%. Finally, human plasma samples from patients treated with doxorubicin or epirubicin were analyzed by using the D-μSPE-HPLC-FLD method.

Effect of Different Synthesis Approaches on Structural and Thermal Properties of Lanthanide(III) Metal–Organic Frameworks Based on the 1H-Pyrazole-3,5-Dicarboxylate Linker. Abstract
AbstractThe impact of different synthetic procedures such as: hydrothermal, mechanochemical and precipitation on the structure and thermal properties of coordination polymers of 1H-pyrazole-3,5-dicarboxylic acid (H3pdca) with selected lanthanide ions was determined. The prepared complexes of the general formula: Ln2(Hpdca)3⋅nH2O, where Ln = Eu(III), Nd(III), Tb(III) and Er(III); n = 6 or 7 were fully investigated by: elemental analysis, Energy-Dispersive X-Ray (ED-XRF) and infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy, powder as well as single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods and thermal analysis (TG-DSC and TG-FTIR) in various atmospheres. It was proved that all used strategies offer high yields of reactions along with crystallinity of the obtained products. The X-ray diffraction methods allowed to conclude that the complexes with the same metal ions exhibit the same crystal structure despite different synthesis routes. On the other hand, the coordination polymers of Eu(III), Tb(III) and Er(III) prepared under different conditions are isomorphous. Only neodymium(III) compounds have a different crystal structure. Thermal stability of the produced complexes was correlated with the synthesis conditions, in particular with the way of energy supply. It was found that the highest thermal stability was exhibited by the complexes prepared under the hydrothermal conditions. Additionally, based on the volatile products of metal complexes decomposition, the mechanism of their pyrolysis was proposed in relation to their structures.

Abstract
Gas sensor arrays, also known as electronic noses, leverage a diverse set of materials to identify the components of complex gas mixtures. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as promising materials for electronic noses due to their high-surface areas and chemical as well as structural tunability. Using our recently reported genetic algorithm design approach, we examined a set of 50 MOFs and searched through over 1.125 × 1015 unique array combinations to identify optimal arrays for the detection of CO2 in air. We found that despite individual MOFs having lower selectivity for O2 or N2 relative to CO2, intelligently selecting the right combinations of MOFs enables accurate prediction of the concentrations of all components in the mixture (i.e., CO2, O2, N2). We also analyzed the physical properties of the elements in the arrays to develop an intuition for improving array design. Notably, we found that an array whose MOFs have diversity in their volumetric surface areas has improved sensing. Consistent with this observation, we found that the best arrays consistently had greater structural diversity (e.g., pore sizes, void fractions, and surface areas) than the worst arrays.

Abstract
Three series of lanthanide coordination polymers have been synthesized. The structural difference may be derived from the lanthanide contraction. Moreover, we also discussed the size-selective catalytic activity towards cyanosilylation of aldehydes.

Abstract
In the title metal-organic framework (MOF), [La(C(8)H(8)N(2)O(6))(C(2)O(4))(0.5)(H(2)O)](n), the La(III) cation is coordinated by eight O atoms in a square antiprismatic configuration. Each La(III) cation is connected to adjacent La(III) cations by bridging 2,5-dioxopiperazine-1,4-diacetate (PODC(2-)) and oxalate (lying about an inversion centre) ligands, generating two-dimensional grid layers. The layers are further linked via the carboxylate groups of the PODC(2-) ligands in syn-syn and syn-anti modes, resulting in a three-dimensional framework with a short Schläfli vertex notation of {4(7).6(3)}{4(7).6(7).8}.
