Abstract
A new isopolyoxovanadate compound [Zn(phen)3]2·(V4O12)·phen·20H2O (phen = 1,10-phenathroline) (1) has been synthesized in aqueous solution and characterized using IR and UV/Vis spectroscopy, elemental analysis, thermal gravimetric analysis, powder, single-crystal X-ray diffractions, and field emission scanning electron microscopy. The molecular structure of 1 exists as two kinds of [V4O12]4− polyoxoanions: distorted chair-like and coplanar conformations, two independent [Zn(phen)3]2+ units and free phen. In the solid state, compound 1 forms a stable three-dimensional supramolecular structure through electrostatic interactions, π–π stacking interactions and multiform hydrogen bonds. The electrocatalytic activity and determination of DA of compound 1 have been studied by cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry, respectively.

Abstract
Through utilizing a two-step method to successfully prepare a pair of enantiomers trataric-polyoxovanadate [(l/d-C4O6H2)2V4O8]·2C6N2H18 (1-L or 1-D), these compounds show decent third-order NLO property and electrochemical behavior.

Abstract
Two three-dimensional metal–organic frameworks 1 and 2 based on p-terphenyl-3,4′′,5-tricarboxylic acid (H3TPT) were synthesized by controlling the solvent media. These two MOFs exhibit high efficiency for the recyclable detection of nitroaromatic compounds.

Abstract
Two new layered hybrid organic-inorganic compounds [Zn(pyim)]2V4O12 () (pyim = 2-(2-pyridyl)imidazole) and [Cu(bim)2]2V4O12(H2O)·CH3CH2OH () (bim = bis(1-imidazolyl)methane) based on polyoxovanadates (POVs) and organic ligands decorated transition metal units have been synthesized by hydrothermal and solvothermal methods respectively. Single crystal XRD, fluorescence spectrum, magnetic measurement, IR spectra, powder XRD and thermogravimetric (TG) measurements were performed to analyze the structures and properties of and . The structural analysis reveals that compound features a two-dimensional {[Zn(pyim)]2V4O12}n layered structure, constructed by sine wave-like {V4O12}n(4n-) chains, Zn(2+) ions and pyim ligands. In the layered structure of , {V4O12}(4-) circles are connected by Cu(2+) ions to form {Cu(V4O12)}n(2n-) chains, which are further linked by {Cu(bim)4}(2+) subunits to generate a hybrid layer of . The magnetic susceptibility measurement indicates strong antiferromagnetic interactions between Cu(2+) ions in .

Abstract
Reported here are two novel organic crystals, L 1 and L·(DMF)1.5 2 (DMF = (CH3)2NCHO), showing non-porous and microporous structure, where the formations can be precisely controlled by varying the reaction temperature. The reason for this exciting discovery could be directly related to the various degrees of distortion in the organic molecules as observed in 1 and 2, where detailed structural studies were carried out.
