Abstract
This manuscript describes the synthesis and coinage metal complexes of pyridine appended 1,2,3-triazolyl-phosphine [2-{(C6H4N)(C2(PPh2)N3C6H5)}] (1), photophysical studies and their catalytic application. The reactions of 1 with copper salts afforded dimeric complexes [{Cu(μ2-X)}2{2-(C6H4N)(C2(PPh2)N3C6H5)}2] (2, X = Cl; 3, X = Br; and 4, X = I). The crystal structure indicates that the Cu⋯Cu distance in 4 (2.694 Å) is significantly shorter than that in complexes 3 (3.0387 Å) and 2 (3.104 Å), indicating strong cuprophilic interactions which is also supported by NBO calculations, signifying the involvement of 3dz2 orbitals from each Cu atom contributing to the bonding interaction. The fluorescence studies on complexes 2-4 carried out in the solid state showed broad emission bands around 560 nm on excitation at λex = 420 nm. Complex 4 on treatment with two equivalents of 1,10-phenanthroline yielded a mononuclear complex 5 which showed almost complete quenching of fluorescence in the solid state, clearly indicating that the emissive properties of 4 are mainly due to the Cu⋯Cu interaction, along with (M + X)LCT. The reactions of 1 with silver salts led to the isolation of dimeric complexes [{Ag(μ2-X)}2{2-(C6H4N)(C2(PPh2)N3C6H5)}2] (6, X = Cl; 7, X = Br; and 8, X = I) in good yield. The reaction between 1 and [AuCl(SMe2)] yielded [{AuCl}{2-(C6H4N)(C2(PPh2)N3C6H5)}] (9). The molecular structures of 2-5 and 7-9 were confirmed by single crystal X-ray analysis. The complex 4 is found to be an excellent catalyst for C-O coupling under mild conditions.

Abstract
A series of polynuclear metal complexes, [Cu2(L1)(PPh3)4](ClO4)2 (1), [Cu3(L2)(PPh3)6](ClO4) (2), [Cu3(L3)(PPh3)6] (3), [Ag2(L1)(PPh3)4](BF4)2 (4), [Ag4(L2)2(PPh3)6] (5) and [Ag3(L3)(PPh3)5] (6), have been obtained from the reactions of the highly conjugated bridging ligands 2,3-bis(2-pyridyl)pyrazine (L1), 2,3-bis(2-tetrazoyl)pyrazine (H2L2) and 2,3-bis(2-tetrazoyl)imidazole (H3L3) with [Cu(MeCN)4]ClO4 and AgBF4, respectively. Their crystal structures have been determined by X-ray crystallography and their photophysical properties have been investigated in detail. Complexes 1 and 3 show photoluminescence in CH2Cl2 solution, while all the complexes exhibit obvious luminescence in the solid state; detailed photophysical studies and density functional theory calculations of these complexes have revealed that their lowest energy absorptions and emissions are predominantly derived from either metal-to-ligand charge-transfer (MLCT) or intraligand (IL) excited states.

Abstract
In this article, the synthesis, structural studies, and luminescence properties of CuI, AgI, and AuI complexes of pyrimidine-based phosphine [C4H3N2-2-NH(CH2PPh2)] (1) are described. The reactions of 1 with CuX led to the isolation of one-dimensional (1D) chain, tetranuclear ladder, or cyclic derivatives. The structural features of these complexes are greatly influenced by the metal-to-ligand ratio, reaction conditions, and CuX (X = Cl, Br or I) employed. In the case of CuCl and CuBr, one-dimensional coordination polymers [{CuCl}{C4H3N2-2-NH(CH2PPh2)}]∞ (2) and [{CuBr}{C4H3N2-2-NH(CH2PPh2)}]∞ (3) were obtained, whereas CuI afforded tetracopper complex [{CuI}4{C4H3N2-2-NH(CH2PPh2)}2(NCCH3)2] (4) having Cu4 ladder structure supported by P∩N-bridging coordination of 1. The reaction of 1 with AgOTf yielded unprecedented one-dimensional chain structure [{AgOTf}{C4H3N2-2-NH(CH2PPh2)}]∞ (5), whereas the reaction with AgBF4 produced a 12-membered dinuclear complex, [{Ag}{C4H3N2-2-NH(CH2PPh2)}]2[BF4]2 (6), with each silver atom having a linear geometry. Gold complex [{AuCl}{C4H3N2-2-NH(CH2PPh2)}]2 (7) was synthesized by reacting 1 with [AuCl(SMe2)]. Compounds 2-4 were also prepared using a pestle and mortar by grinding method in almost quantitative yield. Complex 4 with a Cu···Cu distance of 2.828(5) Å shows high luminescence due to the nonbonded metal···metal interactions.

Abstract
Self-adaption to the formation of an unusual cobalt(ii)-based single-walled metal–organic nanotube is reported. In addition, a pseudo-merohedral twinning problem encountered in the X-ray diffraction analysis was solved, which significantly improves the crystallographic results.

Abstract
In this paper, copper(I) amidate complexes (2-3), proposed intermediates in copper-catalyzed Goldberg reaction, have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, (1)H NMR and X-ray crystallography. Ancillary ligand bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene (dppf) has contributed greatly to the stability of the copper-amidate complexes due to its strong chelating ability and weak intermolecular interactions. Thermal gravimetric analyses are carried out to determine the thermal competency of complexes 2-3 as the intermediates of the high-temperature Goldberg reactions. Reaction of complexes 2 and 3 with aryl halides generates the N-arylation products 5-8, accompanied by the formation of a copper(I) complex Cu(dppf)X (X = I or Br) 4, which has been determined by LC-MS analysis. These results provide new evidence for the mechanism of copper(I)-catalyzed Goldberg reaction.
