Abstract
Organometallic-polyoxometalate (POM) complexes form a unique class of molecular organometallic oxides characterized by the dynamic behavior of the organometallic cations. Herein, we investigated the reactivity of Cp*Ir-octatungstate clusters (where Cp* represents pentamethylcyclopentadienyl, C5Me5-) with Werner-type transition-metal aquo cations. The addition of Ag+, Co2+, Ni2+, and M3+ (M = Cr, Fe, or In) cations to the aqueous solution of Cp*Ir-octatungstate clusters resulted in the formation of [{Ag(OH2)2}2{Cp*Ir(OH2)}2{Cp*IrW3O12(OH)}2(WO2)2] (1), Co1.5K0.8Na0.2[{trans-Co(OH2)2}{Cp*IrW3O12(OH)}2(WO2)1.3{cis-Co(OH2)2}0.7] (2-Co), Ni0.2K1.4Na0.2[{Ni(OH2)4}2{Cp*IrW3O12(OH)}2(WO2)1.1{cis-Ni(OH2)2}0.9] (2-Ni), and [{M(OH2)4}2{Cp*IrW3O12(OH)}2{cis-M(OH2)2}2](NO3)2 (M = Cr, 3-Cr; Fe, 3-Fe; or In, 3-In), respectively. All clusters share the same cubane-type {Cp*IrW3O12(OH)}5- building block, representing the first examples of organoiridium-POMs functionalized by transition-metal aquo cations. These compounds are insoluble in water, facilitating the evaluation of their heterogeneous water-oxidation properties. Notably, 2-Co generates the highest catalytic water oxidation current. This work provides a new synthetic method to introduce metal-aquo complexes on an organometallic oxide cluster, producing multimetallic molecules that model the catalytic sites of complex oxides.

Abstract
We scrutinized the speciation of Cp*Ir-containing tungsten oxide clusters (Cp* is pentamethylcyclopentadienyl anion) in aqueous mixtures of [(Cp*IrCl)2(μ-Cl)2] and Na2WO4 in varying molar ratios. 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy revealed the formation of three distinct Cp*Ir-polyoxotungstate species in the reaction solution, and they were isolated as Na4[(Cp*Ir)2(μ-OH)3]2[(Cp*Ir)2H2W8O30] (1), [(Cp*Ir)2(μ-OH)3]2[(Cp*Ir)2{Cp*Ir(OH2)}2H2W8O30] (2), and [(Cp*Ir)2{Cp*Ir(OH2)}2{Cp*Ir(OH2)2}2H2W8O30](NO3)2 (3) from the mixtures in which iridium concentration is less than, equal to, and more than the tungsten concentration, respectively. These results show the octatungstate [H2W8O30]10- anion is the major polyoxotungstate species in the presence of {Cp*Ir}2+ cations, and it has high nucleophilicity enough to bind up to six {Cp*Ir}2+ cations on its surfaces producing a cationic Cp*Ir-octatungstate complex. The octatungstate anion was also generated from the reaction of [(Cp*IrCl)2(μ-Cl)2] and methylammonium paratungstate-B, (CH3NH3)10[H2W12O42], and was isolated as a methylamine-coordinated complex (CH3NH3)2[(Cp*Ir)2{Cp*Ir(NH2CH3)}2H2W8O30] (4), indicating {Cp*Ir}2+ cations function as a structure-directing agent that converts tungsten species into octatungstate anions in aqueous solution. In addition, the coordination environment of {Cp*Ir}2+ can be further modified by coordination with pyridine forming [{Cp*Ir(NC5H5)}2(μ-OH)2][(Cp*Ir)2{Cp*Ir(NC5H5)}2H2W8O30] (5).

Abstract
During the past decade, isopolyoxotungstates (iso-POTs) and their derivatives have been greatly developed due to their unique structures and potential applications in luminescence, magnetism, catalysis etc. This brief review is principally focused on the main research progress on iso-POTs, iso-POT-based transition-metal derivatives, iso-POT-based rare-earth derivatives, iso-POT-based organometallic derivatives and iso-POT-based heterometallic derivatives, and gives a summary of some representative examples of their syntheses, structures and related properties. In addition, an outlook on the future of this area is presented in the final section. We believe that this systematic commentary on iso-POTs and their derivatives will not only disclose a rich set of iso-POT structures, but also reveal a more promising direction for the further functionalization of iso-POTs.

Abstract
Two monomeric non-classical tellurium-containing heteropolymolybdate-supported metal carbonyl derivatives (NH4)5H3{[Te2Mo12(OH)O44][Mn(CO)3]}·18H2O (1) and (NH4)8{[Te2Mo12(OH)O44][Re(CO)3]}·13H2O (2) have been successfully isolated in good yields. Compounds 1 and 2 are the first two examples of metal carbonyl derivatives of heteromolybdate with tellurium as the central atom. These two compounds have been thoroughly characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analyses, X-ray powder diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The electrochemical catalytic activities of 1 and 2 including cyclic voltammetry and catalytic oxidation of nitrite have also been investigated.

Abstract
Two novel heteropolyoxomolybdate [XMo8O31]n− (X = Ge(1) or P(2)) manganese carbonyl derivatives [(CH3)4N]6H6{MnII(GeMo8O31)[MnI(CO)3]2}2·12H2O (1) and [(CH3)4N]4H6{MnII(PMo8O31)[MnI(CO)3]2}2·14H2O (2), have been successfully synthesized and characterized in the solid state by single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR and thermogravimetric analysis, and in solution by UV-Vis spectroscopy and electrochemistry. The two polyoxomolybdate-based organometallic compounds 1 and 2 represent rare examples of transition metal sandwich-based polyoxometalate metal carbonyl derivatives (PMCDs), in which the organic-inorganic hybrids are composed of four Mn(CO)3+ groups symmetrically occupied the tetravacant sites of dimeric heteropolyoxomolybdate {Mn2(XMo8O31)2}n− through MnI-O-Mo bonds. The carbonyl functionalized Mn atoms are octahedrally coordinated via three μ2-oxygens of the [XMo8O31]n− unit and three carbonyl carbon atoms. Interestingly, 1 and 2 form a psedocuboidal ring Mn(CO)3Mo3O12 with {Mn(CO)3}+ occupying the three fold axis of the Mo3O12 octahedral triad. Beside this, the two centrally placed adjacent MnII atoms show intramolecular Mn∙∙∙Mn interactions of 3.11 and 3.16 Å in 1 and 2, respectively. Significant n→π* and O···O intermolecular interactions between the orthogonally aligned adjacent carbonyl groups through the overlap of lone-pair electrons on oxygen atoms with the antibonding orbital (π*) of the adjacent carbony carbon atom of the subsequent units in 1 and 2 were observed. The electrochemical properties of the two compounds were also been investigated.

Abstract
The β0 value of tricarbonyl metal derivatives of a Lindqvist-type polyoxometalate depends on the tricarbonyl metal M. [Nb2W4O19Ru(CO)3]2− has the largest hyperpolarizability, 12.456 × 10−30 esu, and might become an excellent NLO material.

Abstract
A polyoxometalate-supported trirhenium carbonyl cluster, mimicking metal oxide supported interfacial dyadic structures, has been synthesized and characterized. Multiple techniques, including computational and transient absorption spectroscopy, have been applied to characterize the charge-transfer dynamics occurring at the interfaces of this "double cluster". The stepwise kinetics of charge separation and recombination has been thoroughly investigated.
