Abstract
Four cyanide-bridged FeIII–MnIII complexes {[Fe(qxcq)(CN)3][Mn(L1)(H2O)]}[Mn(L1)(H2O)(CH3OH)](ClO4)·1.5MeOH·0.5H2O (L1 = N,N′-bis(3-methoxy-5-bromosalicylideneiminate) (2), {[Fe(qxcq)(CN)3][Mn(L2)]}2·0.5H2O (L2 = N,N′-ethylene-bis(3-ethoxysalicylideneiminate)) (3), [Fe(qxcq)(CN)3][Mn(L3)] (L3 = bis(acetylacetonato)ethylenediimine) (4), [Fe(qxcq)(CN)3][Mn(L4)]·1.5MeOH·0.5CH3CN·0.25H2O (L4 = N,N′-(1,1,2,2-tetramethylethylene)bis(salicylideneiminate)) (5), were prepared by assembling a new structurally characterized mer-tricyanoiron(III) molecular precursor (Ph4P)[Fe(qxcq)(CN)3]·0.5H2O (qxcq− = 8-(2-quinoxaline-2-carboxamido)quinoline anion) (1) and the corresponding manganese(III) Schiff base compound. Complexes 2and 3containa cyanide-bridged heterobimetallic dinuclear entity, which can be further dimerized by self-complementary H-bond interactions through the coordinated water molecule from one complex and the free O4unit from the adjacent complex. Complexes 4 and 5 area one-dimensional coordination polymer (CP) comprised of the repeated [Mn(Schiffbase)-Fe(qxcq)(CN)3] units. Complex 4 shows a linear-chain conformation with two trans-located cyano groups bridgingthe neighboring Mn units, while complex 5 is a zigzag-like 1D CP, where the two cyano groups in cis configurationfunction as bridges. In bothcomplexes 4 and 5, the inter-chain π–πstack interactions within the aromaticrings of cyanide precursor extend the 1D chain into the supermolecular 2D networks. The magnetic property has been experimentally studied and theoretically fitted over the four Fe(III)-Mn(III) complexes, revealing the antiferromagnetic interaction in complexes 2 and 4 and the unusual ferromagnetic coupling in complexes 3 and 5 between the Fe(III) ion and the Mn(III) ion bridged by the cyano group. Furthermore, the different magnetic coupling nature has been analyzed on the basis of the magneto-structure correlation of the mer-tricyanometallate-based Fe(III)-Mn(III) magnetic system.

Abstract
The reaction of [Fe(CN)6]3- and [Mn(acacen)]+ (H2acacen = N, N'-bis(acetylacetone)ethylenediamine) building units in the presence of supramolecular cations, [(F-Anil)(18-crown-6)]+ (F-Anil+ = 3-fluoroanilinium) or [(Me-F-Anil)(18-crown-6)]+ (Me-F-Anil+ = 3-fluoro-4-methylanilinium), affords two new bimetallic compounds, [(F-Anil)(18-crown-6)][Mn(acacen)Fe(CN)5(CNH)]·MeOH (1) and [(Me-F-Anil)(18-crown-6)][Mn(acacen)(MeOH)Fe(CN)5(CNH)]·MeOH (2), respectively. Compound 1 exhibits a one-dimensional topology, while compound 2 is a dinuclear discrete system due to the coordination of a MeOH molecule at the axial position of the [Mn(acacen)]- unit. For both systems, the acidity of the corresponding supramolecular cation triggers the protonation of the FeIII moiety as [Fe(CN)5(CNH)]2-. Moreover, the resulting -CNH ligand induces hydrogen bonding interactions connecting the chains for 1 or the molecules for 2 into higher dimensional supramolecular networks. Magnetic properties of compounds incorporating these [Fe(CN)5(CNH)]2- building blocks were, for the first time, thoroughly investigated, indicating a three-dimensional antiferromagnetic order of single-chain magnets for 1 and an antiferromagnetically interacting S = 3/2 spin ground state for 2.

Abstract
We synthesized six Fe(iii)-Mn(iii) bimetallic compounds by self-assembling the newly developed mer-Fe cyanide PPh4[Fe(Clqpa)(CN)3]·H2O (1) and PPh4[Fe(Brqpa)(CN)3]·H2O (2) with Mn Schiff base Mn(5-Xsalen)+ cations. These compounds include [Fe(Xqpa)(CN)3][Mn(5-Ysalen)]·pMeOH·qH2O [qpaH2 = N-(quinolin-8-yl)picolinamide; salen = N,N'-ethylenebis(salicylideneiminato) dianion; X = Cl, Y = H (3); X = Cl, Y = Br (4); X = Br, Y = H (5); X = Br, Y = F (6); X = Br, Y = Cl (7); X = Br, Y = Br (8)]. When precursor 1 was used, compounds 3 and 4 were isolated to give a dinuclear entity and a linear chain structure, respectively. The reaction of precursor 2 with the Schiff bases afforded four linear Fe(iii)-Mn(iii) chain complexes. Chain chirality with P- and M-helicity emerges in 4, 7, and 8, while 5 exhibits chain helicity opposite to the previous chain complexes and 6 presents no chain helicity. Such a structural feature is heavily dependent on the interchain π-π contacts and the Fe precursor bridging unit. Chiral induction from a local ethylenediamine link of Y-salen is propagated over the chain via noncovalent π-π interactions. All the bimetallic compounds show antiferromagnetic interactions transmitted by the cyanide linkage. A field-induced metamagnetic transition is involved in 4, 7, and 8, while a field-induced two-step transition is evident in 6. From a magnetostructural viewpoint, the coupling constant is primarily governed by the Mn-Nax-Cax angle (ax = axial) in the bimetallic chain complexes composed of mer-Fe(iii) tricyanides, although the torsion angle plays a role.

Abstract
Two cyanide-bridged enantiopure one-dimensional single chain complexes, [Mn((R,R)-Salcy)Fe(pcq)(CN)3]2n·1.5nDMF (1) and [Mn((S,S)-Salcy)Fe(pcq)(CN)3]2n·1.5nDMF (2), have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Systematically magnetic investigations show the antiferromagnetic coupling between the cyanide-bridged Mn(III)-Fe(III) centers and the interesting metamagnetic behavior at about 5.0 K resulted from the intermolecular π-π interaction.

Abstract
Five one-dimensional bimetallic W(V)Mn(III) complexes 1-5, consisting of [W(CN)6(bpy)](-) anions and [Mn(Schiff base)](+) cations, were prepared. The central coordination geometry around each W atom is determined as a distorted dodecahedron (DD) for 1 and 2, and a distorted square antiprism (SAPR) for 3-5. Magnetic analyses demonstrate that compounds 1, 4, and 5 exhibit antiferromagnetic interactions between magnetic centers, which are different from the ferromagnetic couplings in 2 and 3. For the distorted DD geometry, the Mn-N(ax) (ax = axial) bond length increases when moving from 1 to 2, with the Mn-N(ax)-C(ax) angle remaining constant. The elongation of the bond length is responsible for the reduction in orbital overlap and consequent ferromagnetic coupling in 2. In comparison, for 3-5 with the distorted SAPR geometry, given that the Mn-N(ax) bond lengths are similar across all the samples, the increase in the Mn-N(ax)-C(ax) angles accounts for the enhanced magnetic strength. Notably, a correlation between structure and magnetic exchange coupling is established for the first time in W(V)Mn(III) bimetallic systems based on the [W(CN)6(bpy)](-) precursor.
