Abstract
A pair of enantiomeric ligands, (2R,3R)-dibenzyl-2,3-bis(isonicotinoyloxy)succinate ((R,R)-L) and (2S,3S)-dibenzyl-2,3-bis(isonicotinoyloxy)succinate ((S,S)-L), are designed and synthesized. Seven copper (II) coordination polymers {[Cu((R,R)-L)Br 2 (THF)]·CH 3 CN} n ( 1a ) and {[Cu((S,S)-L)Br 2 (THF)]·CH 3 CN} n ( 1b ), {[Cu((R,R)-L)Cl 2 (THF)]·CH 3 CN} n ( 2a ) and {[Cu((S,S)-L)Cl 2 (THF)]·CH 3 CN} n ( 2b ), {[Cu((R,R)-L)(NO 3 ) 2 (CH 3 CN)]} n ( 3a ) and {[Cu((S,S)-L)(NO 3 ) 2 (CH 3 CN)]} n ( 3b ), {[Cu((R,R)-L) 2 (CH 3 CN) 2 ](ClO 4 ) 2 ·3CH 3 CN} n ( 4 ) were obtained through the assemblies with CuBr 2 , CuCl 2 ·2H 2 O, Cu(NO 3 ) 2 ·3H 2 O, Cu(ClO 4 ) 2 ·6H 2 O, respectively. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction and circular dichroism analysis demonstrate that 1a-3a , 1b-3b have a mono chiral one-dimensional (1D) chain-like spiral structure, while 4 have 1D chain-like structure whose metal centers have chiral propeller coordination environment. Ligand structure, anions and solvent systems have a regulatory effect on the formation of chiral helical structure. Further investigation has proved that 1a can be used as circular dichroism spectrum probe for monitoring L-/D-cysteine and L-/D-penicillamine configuration and concentration in aqueous media based on ligand interchange mechanism.

Abstract
Here we report the synthesis and structural characterization of heterotrimetallic (PtII2PdII2MnII2)n coordination polymers that show different dimensionalities and electrocatalytic activities depending on chloride and bromide employed in the system. The reaction of the PtII2PdII2 tetranuclear complex [Pd2Pt2(NH3)4(d-pen)4] (1), bearing free carboxylate groups, with Mn2+ in the presence of chloride produced the (PtII2PdII2MnII2)n coordination polymer [Mn2Cl2(H2O)6(1)]Cl2 (2Cl), in which the PtII2PdII2 units of 1 are linked by [MnCl(H2O)3]+ moieties in a 1:2 ratio to form a 2D sheetlike structure. The corresponding reaction in the presence of bromide also gave the (PtII2PdII2MnII2)n coordination polymer [Mn2(H2O)6(1)]Br4 (3Br), but 3Br adopted a 3D network structure via a 1:1 linkage of the PtII2PdII2 units with [Mn2(H2O)6]4+ moieties. These complexes showed appreciably different electrocatalytic activities for H2 evolution.

Abstract
Consecutive photoinduced electron transfer (ConPET) has advantages on overcoming the current energetic limitation of visible-light photoredox catalysis for utilizing the energies of two photons in one catalytic cycle. A heterogeneous approach for radical chain reduction of various aryl bromides and chlorides without adding any cocatalyst is introduced by incorporating polyoxometalates (POMs) and amine catalysts into a naphthalenediimide (NDI)-based polymer. CoW-DPNDI-PYI exhibits high activity in the photocatalytic reduction of aryl halides by the synergistic effects of ConPET and hydrogen-atom-transfer (HAT) processes and an enzyme-mimicking CO2 cycloaddition reaction. The ConPET process with N,N'-bis(4-pyridylmethyl)naphthalenediimide (DPNDI) facilitates effective solar energy conversion. POMs and amine catalysts, as efficient HAT catalysts and electron donors, improve the generation of the ConPET process. The success of this work demonstrates the great application of the synergistic effects of ConPET and HAT processes in heterogeneous photocatalysis C-H arylation.

Abstract
Two complexes, {[Mn(3-pmpmd)2(Cl)2]·2H2O}n(1), {[Cd(3-pmpmd) (I)2]·CHCl3·H2O}n(2), (3-pmpmd, N,N'-bis(3-pyridylmethyl)pyromellitic diimide) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analyses, and X-ray single-crystal structure analysis. The conformations of 3-pmpmd ligand affect their structural diversity. Complex 1 is a 1D double chain structure in edge-to-edge arrangement by π⋯π interactions. Complex 2 is a typical 1D zigzag chain structure arranged in a parallel array containing 1D channel to accommodate the chloroform and water guest molecules. Thermal stabilities and fluorescence properties of both complexes were investigated. The solution of complex 2 in DMF can sense for I- anion by quenching fluorescence intensity, whereas other anions increasing fluorescence intensity.

Abstract
In the title salt, C24H22N4O4 (2+)·2NO3 (-), the cation is U-shaped with the two iso-indole dione rings inclined to one another by 60.41 (13)°, while the two outer pyridine rings are inclined to one another by 2.77 (12)°. The dihedral angles between the pyridine ring and the adjacent iso-indole dione ring are 71.82 (12) and 86.44 (13)°. In the crystal, each nitrate anion is linked to a protonated pyridine ring by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. These units are linked by a series of C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional structure.

Abstract
In the centrosymmetric title compound, C26H16N4O4 {systematic name: 6,13-bis-[(pyridin-4-yl)meth-yl]-6,13-di-aza-tetra-cyclo-[6.6.2.0(4,16)0(11,15)]hexa-deca-1,3,8,10,15-pantaene-5,7,12,14-tetrone}, the central ring system is essentially planar [maximum deviation = 0.0234 (8) Å] and approximately perpendicular to the terminal pyridine ring [dihedral angle = 84.38 (3)°]. The mol-ecules displays a trans conformation with the (pyridin-4-yl)methyl groups on both sides of the central naphthalene di-imide plane. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by π-π stacking between parallel pyridine rings [centroid-centroid distances = 3.7014 (8) and 3.8553 (8) Å] and weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

Abstract
Hydrothermal synthesis has afforded five divalent zinc coordination polymers containing 4-(4-carboxyphenyl)-2,2':6',2''-terpyridine (HL1) or its isomer 4-(4-carboxyphenyl)-2,2':4',4''-terpyridine (HL2), with or without the addition of auxiliary ligands, 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid (H3btc) and 1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid (H2bdc). Their structures have been characterized by single crystal X-ray analyses and further characterized by infrared spectra, elemental analyses, powder X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analyses and photoluminescent spectra. Across this series, the π···π interactions have a dramatic impact on the self-assembly of these entanglement structures, in either case it can exert an important structure-directing role. In addition, the disposition of pyridine nitrogen atoms in ligands also plays a large role in structure direction in this system. Complex 1 is a 2D + 2D→3D inclined polycatenated coordination polymer based on the resulting array of 2D (6,3) layers constructed by 1D→2D π···π directed self-assembly. Complex 2 is assembled into a 3D framework by means of 1D + 1D→3D mutual interdigitation based on 1D→1D self-assembly driven by π···π stacking interactions. Complex 3 shows a 2D + 2D→3D interdigital network involving 2D + 2D→2D parallel interpenetrated and 2D + 2D→2D interdigital (4,4) layer motifs. Complex 4 displays a 2D + 2D→3D polythreaded framework based on a 2D (4,4) network comprised of alternating rings and rods. Complex 5 is a (3,4)-connected 3D framework with topology (4.8(2).10(3))(4.8(2)). In comparison with covalently connected entanglements, such π···π directing self-assembly of entanglements are far less explored, especially, polycatenane based on 1D chain motifs and polythread based on 2D layer motifs are rarely reported. Furthermore, the luminescent properties of complexes 1-5 at room temperature have also been studied in detail herein.
