Abstract
The separation of C2 H2 from C2 H4 is one of the most challenging tasks due to the similarity of their physical properties. In addition, green synthetic protocol and adsorbent's stability are also the major concerns during the separation. Herein, under hydrothermal green synthesis conditions, an ultrastable ultramicroporous Zn-MOF was designed and synthesized with a high yield. The pore diameter of the Zn-MOF is 3.6 Å, which lies in between the diameters of C2 H2 (3.3 Å) and C2 H4 (4.2 Å) molecules, leading to an efficient separation of the C2 H2 /C2 H4 mixtures by the sieving effect. The practical separation performance of C2 H2 /C2 H4 was confirmed by the dynamic breakthrough experiments. Moreover, the high stability enables the adsorption capacity of the Zn-MOF to C2 H2 , which can be maintained under a wide range of pH (1-13). Molecular simulations were also performed to identify the different C2 H2 - and C2 H4 -binding sites in Zn-MOF.

Abstract
Positional isomers of zinc-nitrobenzoate complexes possessing pyridine -3-(or-4-) carboxamide are used for a comparative theoretical and experimental study to understand their utility as model complexes to understand the role of metal-to-ligand charge transfer in aggregation-induced emission (AIE). Among the five different model zinc complexes, four of them are non-ionic, and one is an ionic complex. The frontier molecular energy levels of different combinations of the positional isomeric complexes and the absorption maximum were ascertained by density functional theory calculations. The PolyQ value obtained from solid samples of each complex is different. Shifts in the emissions to higher wavelengths than the expected emission for the S1 to S0 transition were observed due to aggregations. The highest value of PolyQ among the complexes was 13.56% observed for emission at 439 nm (λex = 350) of the non-ionic complex, namely, (di-aqua)bis(pyridine-3-carboxamide)di(2-nitrobenzoato)zinc(II) monohydrate. Close resemblance in emission lifetime decay profiles of the solid samples of those complexes and the respective solutions of those complexes in dimethyl sulfoxide with or without water showed a common trend, suggesting aggregation-induced emission in each case. Aggregation-induced emission caused by adding water in dimethyl sulfoxide solution of each complex showed an initial increase without a shift in the emission wavelength followed by a quenching with a shift of the respective emission peak to a short wavelength. Dynamic light scattering studies showed an increase in the average particle sizes upon an increase in the concentration of water. This indicated initial participation of water molecules to form aggregates with the complexes, favoring an increase in the AIE intensity. Aggregation of each complex changes with the concentration of water, and an increase in the concentration of water beyond a characteristic limit causes lowering of the emission intensity to the short wavelength.

Abstract
The three-component reaction of the tetrahedral diphosphorus complex [Cp2Mo2(CO)4(η2-P2)] (1), with Ag[BF4] (2) in the presence of 2,2'-bipyrimidine (3) leads to the formation of the two novel two-dimensional networks 4 and 5. Compound 4 is a new two-dimensional organometallic-organic hybrid polymer, while derivative 5 represents a unique two-dimensional organometallic-inorganic-organic hybrid polymer. These results show the possibility of synthesizing a new class of coordination polymers, which could not be obtained from two-component reactions with organic molecules in addition of metal ions.

Abstract
Starting from the same metal salts and mixed organic ligands of 1,3,5-tris(1-imidazolyl)benzene (tib) and 2-bromo-1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid (H2BDC-Br), two novel zinc(II) coordination polymers [Zn2(tib)2(BDC-Br)]2·2SO4·17H2O (1) and [Zn4(tib)2(BDC-Br)3(H2O)4SO4]·7.5H2O·2.5DMF (2) (DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide) were obtained by using different solvent systems of DMF/H2O and DMF/EtOH/H2O, respectively. 1 is an unusual (3,4)-connected 3D net with a Point symbol of {4·8·10(4)}{4·8·10}, while 2 is a complicated 1D chain, which is further connected to form a 3D supramolecular architecture by hydrogen bonding interactions. In particular, 1 and 2 exhibit selective adsorption of CO2 over N2 and show good selectivity for detection of acetone via fluorescence quenching.

Abstract
Crystallization of Cd[S2CN(iPr)CH2CH2OH]2 from ethanol yields the coordination polymer [{Cd[S2CN(iPr)CH2CH2OH]2}·EtOH]∞ (1) within 3 h. When the solution is allowed to stand for another hour, the needles begin to dissolve and prisms emerge of the supramolecular isomer (SI), binuclear {Cd[S2CN(iPr)CH2CH2OH]2}2·2EtOH (2). These have been fully characterized spectroscopically and by X-ray crystallography. Polymeric 1 has 2-fold symmetry and features dithiocarbamate ligands coordinating two octahedral Cd atoms in a μ
2
κ
2-tridentate mode. Binuclear 2 is centrosymmetric with two ligands being μ
2
κ
2-tridentate as for 1 but the other two being κ
2-chelating leading to square pyramidal geometries. The conversion of the kinetic crystallization product, 1, to thermodynamic 2 is irreversible but transformations mediated by recrystallization (ethanol and acetonitrile) to related literature SI species, namely coordination polymer [{Cd[S2CN(iPr)CH2CH2OH]2}3·MeCN]∞ and binuclear {Cd[S2CN(iPr)CH2CH2 OH]2}2·2H2O·2MeCN, are demonstrated, some of which are reversible. Three other crystallization outcomes are described whereby crystal structures were obtained for the 1:2 co-crystal {Cd[S2CN(iPr)CH2CH2OH]2}2:2[3-(propan-2-yl)-1,3-oxazolidine-2-thione] (3), the salt co-crystal [iPrNH2(CH2CH2OH)]4[SO4]2{Cd[S2CN(iPr)CH2CH2OH]2}2 (4) and the salt [iPrNH2(CH2CH2OH)]{Cd[S2CN(iPr)CH2CH2OH]3} (5). These arise as a result of decomposition/oxidation of the dithiocarbamate ligands. In each of 3 and 4 the binuclear {Cd[S2CN(iPr)CH2CH2OH]2}2 SI, as in 2, is observed strongly suggesting a thermodynamic preference for this form.

Abstract
An unusual solvent effect on the synthesis of five manganese complexes [Mn2(L1)2(Py)4](), [Mn2(L1)2(DMSO)4](), [Mn4(L2)4(OH)4](), [Mn4(L3)2(DMSO)7(H2O)](), and [Mn6O2(L4)4(OAc)2(OMe)2(DMSO)4]·MeOH] (), (H3L1 = 5-(2-oxyphenyl)-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid; H2L2 = 5-(2-oxyphenyl)-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid amide; H4L3 = di-[5-(2-oxyphenyl)-pyrazole]-3-hydroxamic ether; and H2L4 = 5-(2-oxyphenyl)-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid methyl ester) has been reported. Five complexes have been characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction, IR, element analysis, thermogravimetric analysis and UV-vis spectra. The analysis reveals that complexes and are isostructural with a bimetallic six-membered ring and L1 from the decomposition of the original H4ppha (H4ppha = 5-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-pyrazole-3-hydroxamic acid) ligand. Complexes and are two tetranuclear clusters, and possesses an aza12-metallacrown-4 core with L2 from the amide functionalization of the decomposition L1; while represents a novel linear [Mn4N8O2] core with L3 from the condensation of L1 and H4ppha. Complex is the first Mn6 cluster linked by two stacked, off-set 8-azametallacrown-3 subunits with [M-N-N-M-N-N-M-O] connectivity, and L4 derived from the esterification of L1. The magnetic behaviour of complexes show the dominant antiferromagnetic interactions between metal centers, whereas complex further reveals the coexistence of antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic interactions, and slow magnetic relaxation at T < 6 K with S = 4 ground state, as well as field induced magnetization saturation.
