Palladium nanoparticles supported on a nickel pyrazolate metal organic framework as a catalyst for Suzuki and carbonylative Suzuki couplings

Methanolic reduction of [PdCl₂(CH₃CN)₂] on a [Ni(2,5-di(1H-pyrazol-4-yl)benzenesulfonate)₂] metal organic framework gives rise to Pd²⁺/Pd⁰ nanocomposites with Suzuki and carbonylative Suzuki heterogeneous catalytic activities.

Regioselective synthesis of chiral dimethyl-bis(ethylenedithio)tetrathiafulvalene sulfones

Enantiopure (R,R) and (S,S)-dimethyl-bis(ethylenedithio)tetrathiafulvalene monosulfones have been synthesized by the aerial oxidation of the chiral dithiolates generated from the propionitrile-protected precursors. Both enantiomers crystallize in the orthorhombic chiral space group P2₁2₁2₁. They show a boat-type conformation of the TTF moiety, a rather rigid dithiin sulfone ring and the methyl groups in a bisequatorial conformation. Cyclic voltammetry measurements indicate fully reversible oxidation in radical cation and dication species.

Dual functionalized task specific ionic liquid promoted in situ generation of palladium nanoparticles in water: synergic catalytic system for Suzuki–Miyaura cross coupling

A new task specific ionic liquid with hydroxyl and prolinate functionalities acts as a reducing agent and serves as a ligand and stabilizer for in situ formed palladium nanoparticles. This system displays high catalytic activity for Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling in water.
