Abstract
Co(III)-catalysed site-selective C8-allylation and vinylation of isoquinolones with allyl acetate and vinyl acetates has been accomplished. The oxo group of isoquinolone has been utilised as an inherent directing group. Based on preliminary mechanistic studies, a plausible mechanism for the developed reaction has also been delineated. Broad substrate scope with good to excellent yields and post-synthetic transformations of allylated and vinylated isoquinolines highlight the importance of the reaction.

Abstract
Synthesis of dihydroisoquinolinone-4-methylboronic esters from N-allylcarboxamides and B2(Pin)2via domino Heck/borylation approach is reported. A quinoxaline-based NHC-palladacycle [Pd(C∧C:)PPh3Cl], which has been structurally characterized, is used as a catalyst. The scope of the substrate with a wide range of substituents is explored. In addition to the synthesis of title compounds, a few examples of methylboronic esters of indoline and benzofuran motifs have also been prepared using the same protocol. Synthesis of dihydroisoquinolinone-4-methylboronic esters from N-allylcarboxamides and B2(Pin)2via domino Heck/borylation has been achieved by using a quinoxaline-based NHC-palladacycle [Pd(C∧C:)PPh3Cl].![]()

Abstract
A regioselective C8 linear olefination of isoquinoline-1H-2-one with terminal (aromatic and aliphatic) alkynes is reported under Co(III) catalysis. This is an exclusive report on the C8 functionalization of isoquinolone using non-noble transition metal complexes. Experimental and computational mechanistic studies have also been performed to depict the reaction pathway.

Abstract
A regioselective C-H functionalization/annulation reaction of N-sulfonyl amides and allylbenzenes through a palladium-catalyzed C(sp2)-H allylation/aminopalladation/β-H elimination/isomerization sequence has been reported. Various aryl and alkenyl carboxamides are found to be efficient substrates to construct isoquinolinones and pyridinones in up to 96% yield. Using ambient air as the terminal oxidant is another advantage regarding environmental friendliness and operational simplicity.

Abstract
A rhodium-catalyzed decarbonylation/alkyne insertion cascade of phthalimides has been established. The reaction can be carried out in an operationally simple manner and provides expedient access to a series of isoquinolones in moderate to good yields. This reaction proceeded through a sequential decarbonylation/alkyne insertion/intramolecular annulation procedure and featured good functional group tolerance, ample substrate scope, and the construction of C-C and C-N bonds in one pot.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Clinical drugs for herpesvirus exhibit high toxicity and suffer from significant drug resistance. The development of new, effective, and safe anti-herpesvirus agents with different mechanisms of action is greatly required. OBJECTIVE Novel inhibitors against herpesvirus with different mechanisms of action from that of clinical drugs. METHODS A series of novel 5-(benzylamino)-1H-1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxamides were efficiently synthesized and EC50 values against Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV), Varicella-Zoster Virus (VZV) and Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) were evaluated in vitro. RESULTS Some compounds present antiviral activity. Compounds 5s and 5t are potent against both HCMV and VZV. Compounds 5m, 5n, 5s, and 5t show similar EC50 values against both TK+ and TK- VZV strains. CONCLUSION 5-(Benzylamino)-1H-1, 2,3-triazole-4-carboxamides are active against herpesviruses and their activity is remarkably affected by the nature and the position of substituents in the benzene ring. The results indicate that these derivatives are independent of the viral thymidine kinase (TK) for activation, which is indispensable for current drugs. Their mechanisms of action may differ from those of the clinic anti-herpesvirus drugs.

Abstract
Previously unknown 1,1-dicyclopropylhydrazine was obtained in two steps starting from dicyclopropylamine. It serves as a convenient starting material to tri- and tetracyclopropylhydrazines, which have not been described in the literature either. Tricyclopropylhydrazine was prepared in an overall four-step sequence featuring the de Meijere-Chaplinski modification of the Kulinkovich reaction as a key step. Tetracyclopropylhydrazine was obtained by the reductive amination of the cyclopropanone ethyl trimethylsilyl acetal with 1,1-dicyclopropylhydrazine or with the parent hydrazine. Synthetic utility of these cyclopropylhydrazine building blocks is presented as well.

Abstract
Intramolecular Diels-Alder cycloadditions of chlorofuryl- (R = Cl) secondary (R' = H) acrylamides and propiolamides of type 1 followed by (optional modification and) base-induced aromatization of the resulting chlorinated oxanorborn(adi)enes 2 afford N-free-dihydroisoquinolin-1(2H)-ones 3 with different aromatic substitution patterns.
