Abstract
In this work, a novel sodium-fluorescent crystal (Na-FS) was synthesized from 4-dimethylaminobenzoic acid and sodium hydroxide by one-pot hydrothermal method. The structure and conformation of Na-FS were confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope, and the optical properties were studied by fluorescence spectrometer. The results showed that: Na-FS was a triclinic crystal, space group was P-1, cell parameters a, b and c were 10.5113(3), 15.9198(5) and 15.9560(5) Å, respectively, and the number of independent atoms Z in a structure cell was two. Additionally, Na-FS has a blue fluorescence emission (around 360 nm under excited at the range of 230-300 nm) with great photostability and photobleaching resistance, and the quantum yield of Na-FS is 30.58%.

Abstract
Three novel coordination polymers, formulated as {[Zn(1,4-bmimb)(PhAA)2]·H2O}n (1), [Cu(1,4-bmimb)0.5(2,6-PyDC)]n (2), and {[Cu(1,4-bmimb)0.5(2-PAC)(HCOO)]·2H2O}n (3) (1,4-bmimb = 1,4-bis((2-methyl-1H-imidazol-1-yl)methyl)benzene; PhAA = phenylacetic acid; 2,6-PyDC = pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid; 2-PAC = 2-pyrazinecarboxylic acid), were synthesized by the self-assembly of mixed ligands with Zn(II) and Cu(II) under solvothermal conditions and characterized by means of single-crystal X-ray diffraction, X-ray powder diffraction, infrared spectra, thermogravimetric analysis, fluorescence spectra and UV-vis absorption spectra. 1 is shown as a Z-shaped chain, which is formed by Zn2+, PhAA ligands, and 1,4-bmimb ligands, and is assembled into a 3D structure by hydrogen bonding and π···π interaction. Similarly, 2 displays a single chain, which is built by Cu2+, 2,6-PyDC ligands, and 1,4-bmimb ligands, and is assembled into a 3D structure by hydrogen bonding and π···π interaction. 3 possesses a 1D ladder structure, which is formed by Cu2+, 2,6-PyDC ligands, and 1,4-bmimb ligands, and is assembled into a 3D structure by hydrogen bonding. The luminescence properties (for 1) and UV-vis spectrum (for 2 and 3) were also studied and discussed.

Abstract
Four new metal⁻organic coordination polymers [Cu(L)(mpa)]·3H₂O (1), [Co(L)(mpa)]·H₂O (2), [Zn(L)(mpa)]·H₂O (3), and [Cd(L)(mpa)(H₂O)]·H₂O (4) were synthesized by reactions of the corresponding metal(II) salts based on mixed ligands of 1,4-di(1H-imidazol-4-yl)benzene (L) and 4-methylphthalic acid (H₂mpa), respectively. The structures of the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 exhibits a binodal 4-connected three dimensional (3D) architecture with (6⁵·8)-CdSO₄ topology, while complexes 2 and 3 are isostructural and have two-dimensional (2D) layer structure with (4, 4) sql topology based on the binuclear metal subunits. Complex 4 has the same 2D layer structure with (4, 4) sql topology as complexes 2 and 3, but the inclined interpenetration of parallel sets of layers result in the formation with 2D + 2D → 3D framework. The activated sample 1 shows selective CO₂ uptake over N₂. The photoluminiscent properties together with quantum yield (QY) and luminescence lifetime are also investigated for complexes 3 and 4 in the solid state at room temperature.
