Abstract
The B(C6F5)3-catalyzed chemoselective hydrosilylation of α,β- and α,β,γ,δ-unsaturated ketones into the corresponding non-symmetric ketones in mild reaction conditions is developed. Nearly 55 substrates including those bearing reducible functional groups such as alkynyl, alkenyl, cyano, and aromatic heterocycles are chemoselectively hydrosilylated in good to excellent yields. Isotope-labeling studies revealed that hexafluoro-2-propanol also served as a hydrogen source in the process.

Abstract
The catalytic activities of [RuClCp(PTA)2] (1) and [RuCp(PTA)2(H2O-κO)]OTf (2) were assessed for the redox isomerization of the cyclic allylic alcohol 2-cyclohexenol into cyclohexanone in water and biphasic media. Complex 2 showed unprecedented good TONs for the studied conversion both in water (TON = 647) and in the biphase of cyclohexene/H2O (TON = 3420) while 1 showed a lower but also good activity (water TON = 95, biphasic TON = 100). The catalytic reaction intermediate [RuCp(PTA)2(η2-C6H9OH)]CF3SO3 (3) was synthesized and characterized using NMR.

Abstract
Remarkably simple IrIII catalysts enable the isomerization of primary and sec-allylic alcohols under very mild reaction conditions. X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and mass spectrometry (MS) studies indicate that the catalysts, with the general formula [Cp*IrIII ], require a halide ligand for catalytic activity, but no additives or additional ligands are needed.

Abstract
Kinetic resolution of a series of cyclopentene-1,4-diol derivatives has been successfully achieved with enantiomeric excess up to 99.4% and a kf/ks ratio of 55 by a rhodium-catalyzed redox-isomerization reaction in a noncoordinating solvent.
