Abstract
The review summarizes and systematizes the literature data on the synthesis and some aspects of application of pyrrolo[1,2-a]imidazoles. Synthetic approaches are grouped according to the degree of saturation of the product pyrroloimidazole ring. The bibliography of the review includes 110 sources over the last 15 years.

Abstract
A solvent-free method was developed for the synthesis of bicyclic 2-pyridone (DHIP) derivatives, which demonstrated excellent endoplasmic reticulum (ER) targeting and antibacterial activity after a slight structure regulation.

Abstract
A tandem cycloaddition/autoxidation reaction between heterocyclic ketene aminals and diazoester in air is described for the enantioselective preparation of epoxypyrrolidines. Notably, the results of mechanistic studies suggest that epoxide was oxidized from an sp3 C-C single bond, which is of mechanistic and practical interest as this protocol may be suitable for constructing other bioactive heterocyclic epoxides.

Non-catalytic conversion of 4-oxoalkane-1,1,2,2-tetracarbonitriles in the presence of water leads to the mixture of fluorescent 4-cyano-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-carboxamides and 2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-3,4-dicarbonitriles in equal proportions.
