Novel 1D polymer of formula [Cu3(Py)6(μ-CH3COO)4(I3)2]n having asymmetric unit {[Cu0.75(CH3COO)1(Py)1.5]·(I3)0.5}n and S = 1/2 shows bacterial growth inhibition and ROS mediated chemotherapy.
