Abstract
In this paper, we use mono- and bimetallic complexes based on Earth-abundant, cheap and benign zinc for the synthesis of sustainable aliphatic and semi-aromatic polyesters. Tridentate and hexadentate aldimine-thioetherphenolate ligands were used to obtain the desired zinc complexes by the reaction of proligands with opportune equivalents of zinc bis[bis(trimethylsilyl)amide]. The obtained bimetallic complexes 1 and 2 and the monometallic complex 3 were used as catalysts in the Ring-Opening Polymerization (ROP) of landmark cyclic esters, such as ε-caprolactone and lactide, and in the Ring-Opening COPolymerization (ROCOP) of cyclohexene oxide and phthalic anhydride under different reaction conditions. All catalysts were active in these two classes of reactions, showing good control of the polymerization processes. Interestingly, the bimetallic complexes have higher activity compared to their monometallic counterparts, highlighting the cooperation between the two zinc centers.

Abstract
A family of different substituents aza(oxazoline) ligand-based zinc and magnesium complexes were synthesized. These complexes can catalyze ring opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone (ε-CL) and lactide (LA) to produce poly-ε-caprolactone and polylactide with good conversions. Polymerization studies showed that the zinc complexes 1a-4a had moderate activity toward LA and ε-CL polymerization. In situ IR spectroscopy research of zinc complexes showed that the N-donor group-substituted complexes had higher activity than that of the O-ether donor group. The substituted analogies and the flexibility of the amino backbone had a distinct influence on the activity of LA and ε-CL polymerization. The alternates of zinc with magnesium produced complexes 5a-8a, which achieved an obviously increased polymerization activity. Among these magnesium complexes, 7a showed the highest activity in the polymerization of LA. At [M]/[cat] = 1000, the reaction progress was stabilized in 5 min with up to 97% conversion of a monomer at ambient temperature.

Abstract
The reaction of MgBu2 and ZnEt2 or Zn{N[Si(CH3)3]2}2 with a tridentate monoanionic pyrrolylpyridiylimino [N-,N,N] proligand gave homoleptic species, as exclusive products, in high yields. The complexes were characterized in solution by 1D and 2D NMR analysis and by single crystal X-ray crystallography. The new homoleptic complexes were tested as initiators in the polymerization of ε-caprolactone and lactide in the presence of an exogenous alcohol. For both complexes, the polymerizations proceed via an "activated monomer" mechanism that, in the case of the magnesium complex, was correlated with the coordinative flexibility of the ligands, resulting in extremely high productivities under mild conditions.

Abstract
Chloro-magnesium complexes of divergent tetradentate-monoanionic {ONNN}-type ligands which formed as either mononuclear or dinuclear complexes are reported. These complexes catalyze the ring-opening polymerization of lactide with high activity and in a living manner, and enable the synthesis of well-defined stereo-diblock copolymers with Mn > 200 kDa, as well as stereo-n-block copolymers (n = tri, tetra) with high molecular weights by sequential monomer addition. Thermal and crystallographic characterizations revealed that even the very high molecular weight PLA copolymers crystallized in a stereocomplex phase, and that their degradation temperature was as high as 354 °C.

Abstract
A series of potassium complexes bearing monoanionic tetradentate amino-phenolate ligands, [LK]2 (L = {(2-R1)C6H4CH2N[(CH2)2R2]CH2(4-R4-6-R3)C6H2O-}, R1 = NMe2, R2 = NEt2, R3 = CPh3, R4 = Me (1); R1 = R2 = NEt2, R3 = CPh3, R4 = Me (2); R1 = NMe2, R2 = NEt2, R3 = R4 = cumyl (4); R1 = R2 = OMe, R3 = tBu, R4 = Me (6); L = (2-NMe2)C6H4CH2N[[CH2-(S)-1-butylpyrrolidinyl]CH2(4-Me-6-CPh3)C6H2O-] (3)), have been synthesized via reactions of KN(SiMe3)2 and 1 equiv. of the corresponding aminophenols. The solid-state structures of typical complexes 4 and 6 are determined via X-ray diffraction studies, which reveal the dinuclear nature of these complexes. By contrast, DOSY measurements of 1, 4 and 6 suggest that these complexes are monomeric in solution. It is noteworthy that the coordination chemistry of these potassium complexes is versatile, which is closely related to the nature of the ortho-substituent of the phenolate ring, as indicated by the results of the corresponding spectroscopic studies. In the presence of iPrOH, 1-4 and 6 could initiate the polymerization of 500 equiv. of rac-lactide to achieve high monomer conversions within several minutes but afford atactic PLAs with slightly isotactic-enriched microstructures (Pm = 0.58-0.60). Experimental results also demonstrated that a bulky trityl substituent at the ortho-position of the phenolate ring of the ligand framework is beneficial for the enhancement of the activities of these potassium complexes.

Abstract
The synthesis of the first alkoxide-bridged indium complex supported by a chiral dinucleating ligand platform (1), along with its zinc analogue (2), is reported. Both complexes are synthesized in a one-pot reaction starting from a chiral dinucleating bis(diamino)phenolate ligand platform, sodium ethoxide, and respective metal salts. The dinucleating indium analogue (7) based on an achiral ligand backbone is also reported. Indium complexes bearing either the chiral or achiral ligand catalyze the ring-opening polymerization of racemic lactide (rac-LA) to afford highly heterotactic poly(lactic acid) (PLA; Pr > 0.85). The indium complex bearing an achiral ligand affords essentially atactic PLA from meso-LA. The role of the dinucleating ligand structure in catalyst synthesis and polymerization activity is discussed.

Abstract
Chiral recognition of monomeric Me2MOR units resulting in the formation of homochiral dimeric species [Me2M(μ-OR)]2(M = Ga, In), leads to heteroselective catalysts for the ring opening polymerization ofrac-lactide (rac-LA).
