Abstract
We present a new intensely phosphorescent Pb(II) coordination polymer (1) containing a heteroatomic ligand. It has a quantum yield of 21.62% and a lifetime of 25.46 μs. The naked-eye solid-state photoluminescence of 1 significantly changes in response to acidic vapors and thermal treatment, indicating the coexistence of acidochromic and thermochromic luminescence.

Abstract
A gold(I) complex is reported. Interestingly, crystals of the gold(I) complex exhibit an excellent excitation wavelength-dependent emission effect at room temperature. Notably, a nearly pure white emission with Commission Internationale de L'Eclairage (CIE) 1931 chromaticity coordinates of (0.32, 0.33) is obtained upon excitation with 406 nm light.

Comprehensively understanding the steric hindrance effect on the coordination sphere of Pb 2+ ions and photophysical nature of two luminescent Pb(ii)-coordination polymers. Abstract
New luminescent Pb(ii)-coordination polymers (Pb(ii)-CPs), [Pb(2-anc)2]n (1) and [Pb(3-qlc)2(H2O)2]n (2) (2-anc = 2-aminonicotinate, 3-qlc = 3-quinolinecarboxylate), were synthesized by a solvothermal reaction and characterized using microanalysis, IR spectrometry and thermogravimetric analysis. Single crystal structure analysis revealed that the Pb2+ ion displays a hemi-directed coordination geometry in 1 and a holo-directed coordination geometry in 2. The difference between the coordination spheres of 1 and 2 is related to the steric hindrance effect of the ligands. A two-dimensional (2D) corrugated layer structure is formed in 1, and the neighboring layers are further extended into a three-dimensional (3D) van der Waals crystal by ππ interactions between the pyridyl rings in the neighboring layers. In contrast, a one-dimensional (1D) coordination polymeric chain is formed in 2, and the adjacent chains are connected in a 2D network by hydrogen bonds. The photophysical properties of 1 and 2 were studied at ambient conditions, disclosing that 1 emits phosphorescence at 548 nm with a millisecond-scale emission lifetime and an absolute quantum yield of 2.2%; 2 emits only blue fluorescence with an absolute quantum yield of 3.5% and nanosecond-scale emission lifetime. The reasons for the difference in the photophysical nature of 1 and 2 are discussed in regards to the electron band structure and density of states analysis.

Abstract
A new 1D phosphorescence coordination polymer (CP) [Pb2O(C6H4NO2)2]n (1; C6H4NO2 = nicotinate) was synthesized by a solvothermal reaction and PbO was used as a Pb(ii) source instead of traditional Pb(ii) salts. This remarkably thermal-stable CP crystallizes in the space group I41/a. In the crystal structure of 1, two different Pb(ii) ions show a five-coordinated and hemidirected coordination geometry, two nonequivalent nicotinate ligands link to Pb(ii) ions in μ2-η1:η1 and μ4-η2:η2 modes, and the hemidirected coordination polyhedra of Pb(ii) form a helical lead-oxide chain via an edge-sharing fashion along the c-axis. Under ambient conditions, 1 emits cyan ligand-based phosphorescence with an absolute quantum yield as high as 59.4% and a lifetime of 9.86 ms under UV-light irradiation. Under the same conditions, nicotinic acid emits simultaneously fluorescence and phosphorescence with a total absolute quantum yield of 4.8%. The great enhancement of phosphorescence quantum yield in 1, regarding nicotinic acid, is assigned to the heavy atom effect of Pb(ii) and negligible ππ interaction between pyridyl rings. Noticeably, the vibronic fine structure is observed in the emission spectrum of 1 at room temperature. Additionally, 1 shows thermochromic behavior, and such functionality probably has realistic application in the field of temperature detection.

Abstract
Reaction of bpy (bpy = 4,4'-bipyridine) with Pb(OAc)2·3H2O in DMF (DMF = dimethylformamide) afforded a metal-organic framework (MOF), [Pb2(μ-bpy)(μ-O2CCH3)2(μ-O2CCH3)2]·H2O (1). Reaction of bpy with Pb(O2CCF3)2 in a methanol and chloroform mixture furnished another MOF, [Pb(μ-bpy)(μ-O2CCF3)2]·1/2CHCl3 (2). However, the reaction of bpy with Pb(OAc)2·3H2O in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid in a similar reaction condition yielded a hydrogen-bonded zwitter-ionic complex of Pb(II), [Pb(bpy-H)2(O2CCF3)4] (3). All compounds have been characterized by single crystal X-ray crystallography, FT-IR, and 1H NMR spectroscopies. Compound 1 forms four heptacoordinated Pb(II) joined by (OCCH3)-O- linkages, resulting in a 3D noninterpenetrated MOF net with a four-connected uninodal sra (SrAl2) topology. However, in 2, tetra-connected Pb4(O2CCF3)8 cluster units are linked further through eight bpy ligands to furnish a doubly interpenetrated MOF with a new topology but having the very similar connectivity of 1, whereas 3 forms a zigzag hydrogen-bonded chain structure. The variation of carboxylate anions, pH of the reaction medium, and the ratio of the reactants profoundly affected the final topological structure of the compounds synthesized. The solid-state photoluminescence of 1-3 was investigated at room temperature. Interestingly 1, 2, and 3 achieved close to white light emission when excited at 329, 376, and 330 nm, respectively. The systematic understanding of the photophysical properties of analogous Pb-based compounds may open new perspectives for developing single-phase white-light-emitting materials using Pb(II) based MOFs.

Abstract
Luminescent porous coordination polymers, cage-containing chains [Pb5(L1)6(N3)2(OH)2]n (1) and 1-D double helical chains [Pb(L2)(N3)]n (2) with 1-D channels were prepared by solvothermal reactions. These polymers can take up metal ions and induce different luminescence responses depending on the metal ions.
