Abstract
Selective epoxidation of olefins is of high interest in the chemical industry due to the many applications of epoxides. This study reports on the synthesis of Cd-MOF, [Cd(DPTTZ)(5-AIP)] (IUST-1) (where DPTTZ = 2, 5-di (pyridine-4-yl) thiazolo [5, 4-d] thiazole, 5-AIP = 5-Aminoisophthalic acid), by a reflux method, which can be considered as a fast and simple process. The morphology and structure of the synthesized IUST-1 were determined by using FE-SEM (Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy), EDX (Energy Dispersive Analysis of X-ray), Mapping (Elemental Mapping), CHNS (Elemental analysis), XRD (X-Ray Diffraction), FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared), and TGA (Thermo Gravimetric Analysis). The epoxidation of cyclooctene was investigated using the activity of catalytic IUST-1. The results showed that in the presence of tert-butyl hydroperoxide and CCl4 in a 1:2 alkene/oxidant ratio, a high epoxide yield (99.8%) was obtained. In addition, IUST-1 can be easily separated by simple filtration and recycled five times successfully with a slight decrease in activity. This compound has some advantages such as high yield, short reaction time, and ease of reuse, which make it a suitable heterogeneous catalyst for the epoxidation of cyclooctene.

Abstract
Insertion of molecular metal oxides, e.g. polyoxometalates (POMs), into metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) opens up new research opportunities in various fields, particularly in catalysis. POM/MOF composites have strong acidity, oxygen-rich surface, and redox capacity due to typical characteristics of POMs and the large surface area, highly organized structures, tunable pore size, and shape are due to MOFs. Such hybrid materials have gained a lot of attention due to astonishing structural features, and hence have potential applications in organic catalysis, sorption and separation, proton conduction, magnetism, lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, electrochemistry, medicine, bio-fuel, and so on. The exceptional chemical and physical characteristics of POMOFs make them useful as catalysts in simple organic transformations with high capacity and selectivity. Here, the thorough catalytic study starts with a brief introduction related to POMs and MOFs, and is followed by the synthetic strategies and applications of these materials in several catalytic organic transformations. Furthermore, catalytic conversions like oxidation, condensation, esterification, and some other types of catalytic reactions including photocatalytic reactions are discussed in length with their plausible catalytic mechanisms. The disadvantages of the POMOFs and difficulties faced in the field have also been explored briefly from our perspectives.

Abstract
A thorough investigation of two novel hybrid materials, namely, (2,2'-Hbpy)3[PW12O40] and (4,4'-H2bpy)1.5[PW12O40]·1.5H2O built from Keggin phosphotungstic acid (PTA) and bipyridine, describes the impact of bipyridine isomers in their formation and physicochemical properties. The hybrids' formation was confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction, while infrared spectroscopy (IR) proved the polyoxometalate (POM) structural preservation. The stoichiometric composition and thermal stability of the hybrids were solved by thermogravimetric analysis-mass spectrometry, which also revealed newly acquired hydrophobic properties. Raman and IR spectroscopies demonstrated that the POM skeleton units in both hybrids were distorted compared to the POM in PTA, which induced a decrease of their reduction potentials as observed by diffuse reflectance ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (DR-UV-vis). The hybrids' acidity was assessed by ammonia temperature-programmed desorption, which showed no remaining acid sites compared to the strong acidic character of the pristine PTA. The properties of the hybrids were tested in the epoxidation of cyclooctene in the presence of H2O2. The reaction was boosted when the hybrids were pre-activated with H2O2.

Abstract
Thermal-depended conductive properties of the ternary-POM-based layer-structure ionic liquid [TOAMe]4[In(H2O)PW11O39] was investigated. It shows fast ionic conductivity as high as 2.2 × 10−3 S cm−1 at 90 °C with the conductive activation energy of 30.19 kJ mol−1, which is related to its state, obviously increasing during the reversible phase transformation from a quasi-solid-state gel phase to an isotropic sol phase.
