Abstract
A new, simple, and efficient method for synthesis of α-benzyl amino coumarin and its derivatives (1-24) is described via a one-pot, three-component condensation of aromatic aldehydes, amine, and 4-hydroxycoumarin under green chemistry conditions: water as a solvent and BaSiO3 nanoparticles as catalyst. BaSiO3 nanoparticles and all synthesized derivatives were characterized by multiple methods including; XRD, NMR, and FE-SEM. This method which gives higher yields, is also less expensive, and more environmentally friendly compared with other methods in the literature. In silico physicochemical and pharmacokinetics analyses were done on all synthesized compounds and indicated that these α-benzyl amino coumarins would be effective scaffolds for the future development of chemotherapeutic agents.

Abstract
Using heterogeneous basic catalysts has a great importance in chemical reactions because of their advantages (such as easy separation and thermal stability at harsh conditions) over homogeneous catalysts. In this study, magnetic mesoporous silica nanoparticles (mSiO2) containing graphitic carbon nitride layers (mSiO2/g‐C3N4(x)) were fabricated through a facile process (x signifies the amount of melamine applied during synthesis). Graphitic carbon nitride layers were decorated on mSiO2 by calcination of immobilized melamine (as graphitic carbon nitride precursor) on mSiO2 in the last step of catalyst synthesis. The structure of the prepared catalysts was confirmed using XRD, BET, FESEM, EDX, elemental mapping and TEM methods. The catalytic efficiency of the so‐obtained solid base composite was investigated for the synthesis of some dihydropyranochromenes and spiro‐dihydropyranochromenes under thermal and microwave conditions. Using mSiO2/g‐C3N4(x) led to high yields under green conditions and in short reaction times and without a decrease in catalytic activity after four consecutive cycles.

Abstract
A one-pot, Hantzsch ester-mediated Knoevenagel condensation-reduction reaction has been developed for alkylation of a wide range of substituted 2,4-quinoline diols and 2,4-pyridine diols with aldehydes. The process is operationally simple to perform, scalable, and provides highly useful C-3 alkylated quinoline and pyridine diols in yields of 58-92%. The alkylation products can be converted to 2,4-dihaloquinoline and pyridine substrates for further functionalization.

Abstract
The synthesis of 3-(aryl(piperidin-1-yl)methyl)-4-hydroxyquinolin-2(1H)-one derivatives
via catalyst-free multicomponent reaction is described. The reaction of 4-hydroxyquinolin-2(1H)-one,
piperidine, and 4-chlorobenzaldehyde was carried out in different solvents and under solvent-free conditions
at room temperature. The best solvent in terms of the yield and reaction time was found to be
dichloromethane. Most substituted benzaldehydes reacted with 4-hydroxyquinolin-2(1H)-one and
piperidine to afford corresponding products in good-to-excellent yields. Aldehydes with electronwithdrawing
groups were more reactive to exhibit higher reaction rates. However, 2-substituted benzaldehydes
did not react with 4-hydroxyquinolin-2(1H)-one and piperidine under the reaction condition.
Aldehydes bearing a hydroxyl group failed to produce the corresponding products.

Abstract
4-Hydroxycoumarins are some of the most versatile heterocyclic scaffolds and are frequently applied in the synthesis of various organic compounds. 4-Hydroxycoumarin-based compounds are important among heterocyclic structures due to their biological and pharmaceutical activities. In this study, we provide an overview on the recent applications of 4-hydroxycoumarin in multicomponent reactions for the synthesis of various heterocyclic compounds during the time period of 2015-2018.
