Abstract
This work designed a nonionic extended dialdehyde 6,6'-(phenylazanediyl)dipicolinaldehyde (PDPA) for constructing Schiff-base macrocyclic complexes with weaker metal-ligand interactions, so as to solve the long-standing challenges of transmetalation and demetallization in macrocyclic complexes. An enantiomeric pair of open-oyster-like 26-membered [2 + 2] Schiff-base macrocyclic dinuclear Cd(II) complexes (S,S-1a, R,R-1b) could be obtained, having S,S/R,R-1,2-diaminocyclohexane (S,S/R,R-DACH) precursors, while Cu(II) ion template only resulted in a mononuclear Schiff-base Cu(II) acyclic complex (S,S-2) accompanied by the half-oxidation of PDPA instead of expected [2 + 2] Cu(II) macrocyclic complexes. It is suggested that the weak oxidization capability of Cu(II) ion is responsible for the formation of S,S-2 because X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) for the solid powder of reaction mixture of direct Cu(II) ion template synthesis implies that both Cu(I) and Cu(II) species are present. In fact, corresponding [2 + 2] dinuclear Cu(II) macrocycles and even metal-free macrocycles unsuitable for direct synthesis can be obtained via Cd(II) → Cu(II) transmetalation and Na2S demetalation verified by ESI-MS and UV-vis spectra. In addition, control experiments indicate that the synthesis of metal-free macrocycles via the direct nontemplate method merely results in the mixture of multiple components of [1 + 1], [2 + 2], and [3 + 3] Schiff-base macrocycles, and they are difficult to isolate.

Abstract
To seek the novel application of organophosphorus compounds, the designed tri(4-formylphenyl) phosphonate (TFP) derivatives were successfully synthesized herein, which were used as C-terminal protecting groups of amino acid or greener triple-equivalent supports in liquid-phase peptide synthesis (LPPS). Through the support-aided precipitation effect of TFP derivatives, the peptide intermediates during peptide synthesis were separated and collected via rapid precipitation and facile filtration without chromatographic purification. Furthermore, the TFP derivative support can be directly recycled for reuse without further regeneration after being sheared from the target peptide.

Abstract
Two flexible subcomponents, namely tris(4-formylphenyl)phosphate and tris(2-aminoethyl)amine, are assembled into a tetrapodal [4 + 4] cage depending on the solvent effect. Single-crystal structure analysis reveals that the caivity is surrounded by four phosphate uints. Good selectivity of CO2 adsorption over CH4 is demonstrated by the gas adsorption experiment.

Abstract
A [3+3] Schiff-base salphen macrocycle (7 a) was synthesized by imine condensation between ortho-phenylenediamine and ortho-phenylethynyl-bridged bis(5-salicylaldehyde) precursors. The triangular-shaped macrocycle 7 a has a nonclassical (or "inverted") design in which the N2 O2 coordination pockets are located at the sides instead of the corners. Compound 7 a could be synthesized in a reasonably good yield (64 %) considering the steric constraints imposed by the ortho substitution pattern. Subsequent zinc metalation afforded the corresponding Zn metallomacrocycle 7 b. Spectroscopic experiments evidenced weak (7 a) to strong (7 b) self-aggregation behavior in solution. Their ability to self-organize at the supramolecular level was further studied in the solid state by AFM and TEM, which revealed the formation of large bundles of fibers with lengths of several micrometers and widths of nanometers.

Abstract
Chiral polyimine molecular capsules with polar interiors have been prepared through template covalent dynamic self-assembly. An aryl-extended tetraaldehyde calix[4]pyrrole scaffold was condensed with suitable diamines as linkers using templates for efficient self-assembly. The capsular complexes were characterized in solution, gas phase and the solid-state. Unprecedented transfer of asymmetry was observed from a chiral diamine linker to the resulting supramolecular capsular assembly.
