Abstract
Two new purely inorganic cationic tellurite networks of Group IB metal-based tetrafluoroborates, namely, [Cu2F(Te2O5)](BF4), 1, and [Ag18O2(Te4O9)4(Te3O8)(BF4)2]·2HBF4, 2, have been hydrothermally synthesized under mild conditions. The prepared materials have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, powder X-ray diffraction, IR and Raman spectroscopy, SEM-energy-dispersive spectroscopy, UV-vis-NIR diffuse reflectance, magnetic study, and TG analyses. Single-crystal diffraction studies show that both materials have similar cationic Cu/Ag tellurite layers with tetrafluoroborates as interlamellar charge-balancing anions. Magnetic results indicate that [Cu2F(Te2O5)](BF4), 1, exhibits a mainly short-range antiferromagnetic ordering within the 2D layer, and further detailed analysis of magnetic susceptibility analysis confirms a spin-singlet ground state with an energy gap of 85 K.

Abstract
Abstract
A novel series of complexes with the formula [MLCl] [M = Co(II) (1), Ni(II) (2), Cu(II) (3), Zn(II) (4)] arising from Pyridyl ligand, N,N’-bis(1-(2-pyridyl)ethylidene)-2,2-dimethylpropane-1,3-diamine), ligand, L, was synthesized and investigated by elemental analyses, FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR, Powder XRD, and thermal analyses. TGA analysis indicated that all complexes degraded in three different steps, while the PXRD examination showed well-defined sharp crystalline peaks for the complexes, indicating significant crystallinity. The antiproliferative activity of the ligand and its complexes were also evaluated in vitro against the HeLa (Human Cervical Cancer Cells) and HCT116 (Colon Cancer Cells) cell lines. The findings suggested complex 4 to be potential anticancer agent against these cell lines. In addition, ligand and its complexes also exhibited considerable emission properties.

Abstract
A new and efficient catalytic hydrolysis of aliphatic and aromatic thiolates under ambient conditions is presented. Previously, we have demonstrated (Ganguly et al., Inorg. Chem. 2018, 57, 11306-11309) the Co(II) mediated stoichiometric hydrolysis of thiols to produce alcohols/phenols along with a binuclear dicobalt(II)-hydrosulfide complex, [Co2(PhBIMP)(μ2-SH)(DMF)]2+ (1) (PhBIMP is the anion of 2,6 bis[(bis((N-1-methyl-4,5- diphenylimidazoylmethyl) amino)methyl]- 4-methylphenol). In the present work, we have shown that the product of the stoichiometric reaction, 1, may act as an efficient catalyst for the catalytic hydrolysis of a broad range of aliphatic and aromatic thiolates in DMF at room temperature to produce alcohols/phenols. Complex 1 takes up a thiolate (RS-) and a water molecule to generate an active intermediate complex, [Co2(PhBIMP)(μ2-SH)(RS)(H2O)]1+ (2), which, in turn, releases the alcohol/phenol (ROH), hydrosulfide (HS-), and regenerates 1.

Abstract
Self-assembly and characterisation of a supramolecular trigonal bipyramidal iron cage containing an [FeIII(μ2-F)6(FeII)3]3+ star motif at its core is reported. The complex can be formed in a one step reaction using an heterotopic ligand that supports site-specific incorporation of iron in three distinct electronic configurations: low-spin FeII, high-spin FeII and high-spin FeIII, with iron(II) tetrafluoroborate as the source of the bridging fluorides. Formation of a μ2-F bridged mixed-valence FeII-FeIII star is unprecedented. The peripheral high-spin FeII centres of the mixed-valence tetranuclear star incorporated in the iron cage are highly anisotropic and engage in F-mediated antiferromagnetic exchange with the central FeIII ion.

Abstract
The 1D Cu(II) coordination polymers [Cu3(L1)(NO3)4(H2O)2]n (1) and [Cu2(H2L2)(NO3)(H2O)2]n(NO3)n (2) have been synthesized using the aroylhyrazone Schiff bases N'1,N'2-bis(pyridin-2-ylmethylene)oxalohydrazide (H2L1) and N'1,N'3-bis(2-hydroxybenzylidene)malonohydrazide (H4L2), respectively. They have been characterized by elemental analysis, infrared (IR) spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS), single crystal X-ray diffraction and variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements (for 2). The ligand (L1)2− coordinates in the iminol form in 1, whereas the amide coordination is observed for (H2L2)2− in 2. Either the ligand bridge or the nitrate bridge in 2 mediates weak antiferromagnetic coupling. The catalytic performance of 1 and 2 has been investigated toward the solvent-free microwave-assisted oxidation of a secondary alcohol (1-phenylethanol used as model substrate). At 120°C and in the presence of the nitroxyl radical 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperydil-1-oxyl (TEMPO), the complete conversion of 1-phenylethanol into acetophenone occurs with TOFs up to 1,200 h−1.

Abstract
Tetrametallic thorium compounds with a Th4E4 core (E = S, Se) having a distorted cubane structure can be prepared by ligand-based reductions of elemental E with thorium chalcogenolates, prepared by in situ oxidation of Th metal with a 3:1 mixture of PhEEPh and F5C6EEC6F5. Four compounds, (py)8Th4S4(μ2-SPh)4(SC6F5)4, (py)8Th4S4(μ2-SPh)4(SeC6F5)4, (py)8Th4Se4(μ2-SePh)4(SeC6F5)4, and (py)8Th4Se4(μ2-SePh)4(SC6F5)4, were isolated and characterized by NMR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. These compounds clearly demonstrate the chemical impact of ring fluorination, with the less-nucleophilic EC6F5 ligands occupying the terminal binding sites and the EPh ligands bridging two metal centers. For this series of compounds, crystal packing and intermolecular π···π and H-bonding interactions result in a consistent motif and crystallization in a body-centered tetragonal unit cell. Solution-state 77Se NMR spectroscopy reveals that the solid-state structures are maintained in pyridine.
