Abstract
The heterocyclic molecules are medicinally important and are applied in different
other fields. The environmentally benign synthetic method for the synthesis of this
important group of compounds is always explored. Bimetallic nanoparticles are getting
attention as heterogeneous catalysts for their synthesis. The bimetallic nanoparticles have
been usually synthesized by chemical or physical methods or both in combination. Chemists
are also using part of plants in the synthesis of bimetallic nanoparticles and these have
been successful. The present review work will be going to enrich the existing literature by
compiling the use of plant parts in the synthesis of bimetallic nanoparticles and their utility
in the synthesis of heterocyclic molecules.

Abstract
Heterocycles have been found to be of much importance as several nitrogen- and oxygen-containing heterocycle compounds exist amongst the various USFDA-approved drugs. Because of the advancement of nanotechnology, nanocatalysis has found abundant applications in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds. Numerous nanoparticles (NPs) have been utilized for several organic transformations, which led us to make dedicated efforts for the complete coverage of applications of metal nanoparticles (MNPs) in the synthesis of heterocyclic scaffolds reported from 2010 to 2019. Our emphasize during the coverage of catalyzed reactions of the various MNPs such as Ag, Au, Co, Cu, Fe, Ni, Pd, Pt, Rh, Ru, Si, Ti, and Zn has not only been on nanoparticles catalyzed synthetic transformations for the synthesis of heterocyclic scaffolds, but also provide an inherent framework for the reader to select a suitable catalytic system of interest for the synthesis of desired heterocyclic scaffold.

Abstract
A nano-sized Fe3O4-supported Lewis acid ionic liquid catalyst for the synthesis of polyhydroquinolines and propargylamines under ultrasound irradiation has been developed. LAIL@MNP was synthesized from imidazolium chlorozincate(ii) ionic liquid grafted onto the surface of Fe3O4 nanoparticles and evaluated by FT-IR, TGA, SEM, Raman, TEM, ICP-OES, and EDS. The multicomponent synthesis of polyhydroquinolines and propargylamines proceeded smoothly to afford the desired products in high yields. LAIL@MNP can be separated easily from the reaction mixture and reused for several runs without a significant degradation in catalytic activity. A nano-sized Fe3O4-supported Lewis acid ionic liquid catalyst for the synthesis of polyhydroquinolines and propargylamines under ultrasound irradiation has been developed.![]()

Abstract
Imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine is a well-known scaffold in many marketed drugs, such as Zolpidem, Minodronic acid, Miroprofen and DS-1 and it also serves as a broadly applied pharmacophore in drug discovery. The scaffold revoked a wave of interest when Groebke, Blackburn and Bienaymé reported independently a new three component reaction resulting in compounds with the imidazo[1,2-a]-heterocycles as a core structure. During the course of two decades the Groebke Blackburn Bienaymé (GBB-3CR) reaction has emerged as a very important multicomponent reaction (MCR), resulting in over a hundred patents and a great number of publications in various fields of interest. Now two compounds derived from GBB-3CR chemistry received FDA approval. To celebrate the first 20 years of GBB-chemistry, we present an overview of the chemistry of the GBB-3CR, including an analysis of each of the three starting material classes, solvents and catalysts. Additionally, a list of patents and their applications and a more in-depth summary of the biological targets that were addressed, including structural biology analysis, is given.

Abstract
Magnetically separable Brønsted acidic catalysts combine the advantages of
high efficiency of homogeneous Brønsted acidic catalyst with the ease of magnetic
separation from the reaction medium. In addition to their ease of separation, the
magnetically separable Brønsted acidic catalysts also possess high stability towards air
and moisture, facile functionalization and tunable hydrophobic properties. This review
portrays the applications of sulfonic acid anchored γ -Fe2O3 or Fe3O4 nanoparticles,
magnetic core encapsulated acid functionalized silica or mesoporous nanoparticles,
functionalized ionic liquid coated acidic magnetically separable nanoparticles and
miscellaneous magnetically separable Brønsted acidic nanoparticles in diverse organic
transformations. In addition, the merits of magnetically separable Brønsted acid
nanocatalyst are also summarized and compared with the traditional homogeneous/heterogeneous Brønsted
acidic catalysts.

Abstract
Herein, the synthesis and application of copper-incorporated sulfated zirconium oxide supported on CuFe2O4 NPs (CuFe2O4@SiO2@ZrO2/SO42−/Cu NPs) as a novel Lewis/Brønsted acid nanocatalyst were studied for the Sonogashira C–C cross-coupling reaction. The fabricated CuFe2O4@SiO2@ZrO2/SO42−/Cu catalyst exhibited efficient activity for a large variety of aryl iodides/bromides and, most importantly, aryl chlorides in water and in the presence of NaOH as a base in short reaction times. The catalyst was fully characterized by FTIR, TG-DTG, VSM, XRD, EDX, FE-SEM and TEM analyses. A synergetic effect could be considered to have arisen from the various Lewis acid and Brønsted acid sites present in the catalyst. The efficient incorporation of copper into zirconia provided a robust highly stable hybrid, which prevented any metal leaching, whether from the magnetite moiety and/or Cu sites in the reaction mixture. Moreover, the catalyst was successfully recovered from the mixture by a simple external magnet and reused for at least 9 consecutive runs. Zero metal leaching, stability, consistency with a variety of substrates, fast performance, cost-effectiveness, environmental friendliness, and preparation with accessible and cheap materials are some of the advantages and highlights of the current protocol. A mild and green protocol was developed by immobilizing copper-incorporated sulfated zirconium oxide on CuFe2O4 as an efficient inorgano-nanocatalyst for the Sonogashira reaction.![]()
