Abstract
The emissions of sulfur dioxide (SO2) from combustion exhaust gases pose significant risks to public health and the environment due to their harmful effects. Therefore, the development of highly efficient adsorbent polymers capable of capturing SO2 with high capacity and selectivity has emerged as a critical challenge in recent years. However, existing polymers often exhibit poor SO2/CO2 and SO2/N2 selectivity. Herein, we report two triazine-functionalized triphenylamine-based nanoporous organic polymers (ANOP-6 and ANOP-7) that demonstrate both good SO2 uptake and high SO2/CO2 and SO2/N2 selectivity. These polymers were synthesized through cost-effective Friedel-Crafts reactions using cyanuric chloride, 3,6-diphenylaminecarbazole, and 2,2',7,7'-tetrakis(diphenylamino)-9,9'-spirobifluorene. The resultant ANOPs are composed of triazine and triphenylamine units and feature an ultramicroporous structure. Remarkably, ANOPs exhibit impressive adsorption capacities for SO2, with uptakes of approximately 3.31-3.72 mmol·g-1 at 0.1 bar, increasing to 9.52-9.94 mmol·g-1 at 1 bar. The static adsorption isotherms effectively illustrate the ability of ANOPs to separate SO2 from SO2/CO2 and SO2/N2 mixtures. At 298 K and 1 bar, ANOP-6 shows outstanding selectivity toward SO2/CO2 (248) and SO2/N2 (13146), surpassing all previously reported triazine-based nanoporous organic polymers. Additionally, dynamic breakthrough tests demonstrate the superior separation properties of ANOPs for SO2 from an SO2/CO2/N2 mixture. ANOPs exhibit a breakthrough time of 73.1 min·g-1 and a saturated SO2 capacity of 0.53 mmol·g-1. These results highlight the exceptional adsorption properties of ANOPs for SO2, indicating their promising potential for the highly efficient capture of SO2 from flue gas.

Abstract
The development of nanoporous organic polymers with cycloaliphatic components for effective benzene (Bz) and cyclohexane (Cy) adsorption/separation poses a significant challenge. This work focuses on synthesizing NOP-Ad-1, a nanoporous organic polymer derived from a Friedel-Crafts reaction between cycloaliphatic 1,3-dibromadantane and aromatic hexaphenylbenzene. At 298 K and P/P0 = 0.95, NOP-Ad-1 can uptake 989 mg g-1 benzene and 441 mg g-1 cyclohexane. Moreover, as the benzene vapor ratio increased from 20% to 80%, the Bz/Cy selectivity of NOP-Ad-1 gradually decreased from 1.75 to 1.24. These findings highlight the potential application of NOP-Ad-1 in the adsorption/separation of Bz/Cy mixtures.

Abstract
This study highlights the value of nonisothermal kinetic methods in selecting temperature conditions for the isothermal preparation of microporous polymeric materials. A dicyanate ester is synthesized and the kinetics of its polymerization in diphenyl sulfone are studied by calorimetry under nonisothermal conditions. The kinetics are analyzed by a model-based approach, using the Kamal model, as well as by a model-free approach, using an advanced isoconversional method. Both approaches correctly predict the time to completion of polymerization at a given temperature. The material prepared independently at the predicted temperature is characterized by electron microscopy and CO2 adsorption measurements and is confirmed to possess a microporous structure with a multimodal distribution of micropores with two major maxima at ~0.5 and 0.8 nm.

Abstract
The development of sensitive, fast, and portable methods for detecting the residual toxic pesticides is essentially important because of the increasing concerns for public health and safety. For this purpose, three fluorescent porous organic polymers containing pendant N-benzyl carbazole, N-benzyl dibromo-carbazole, and N-benzyl dimethoxy-carbazole groups were synthesized via a one-step polymerization reaction. The resultant polymers emit bright cyan, blue, and green light under the ultraviolet lamp, respectively, with the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller area up to 858 m2 g-1 and tunable pore sizes in the range of 0.5-36 nm. Six pesticides including trifluralin, isopropalin, glyphosate, fenitrothion, imidacloprid, and cyfluothrin are selected as the analytes to investigate the recognition and detection ability of polymers in terms of the different photo-physical properties of polymers, chemical structure of organic pesticides as well as the pore sizes of polymers, and molecular sizes of pesticides. It is interesting to find that, even though in water medium, the measured fluorescent quenching Stern-Volmer coefficient for trifluralin still reaches 26,040 L mol-1 and is nearly unchanged under both acidic or basic service conditions. Moreover, the test paper prepared from the polymer exhibits a rapid fluorescent response when contacting the aqueous trifluralin dispersion liquid, and the sensitivity remains stable after recycling use for twelve times.

Abstract
Microporous organic polymers and related porous materials have been applied in a wide range of practical applications such as adsorption, catalysis, adsorption, and sensing fields. However, some limitations, like wide pore size distribution, may limit their further applications, especially for adsorption. Here, micro- and ultra-microporous frameworks (HBPBA-D and TBBPA-D) were designed and synthesized via Sonogashira–Hagihara coupling of six/eight-arm bromophenyl adamantane-based “knots” and alkynes-type “rod” monomers. The BET surface area and pore size distribution of these frameworks were in the region of 395–488 m2 g−1, 0.9–1.1 and 0.42 nm, respectively. The as-made prepared frameworks also showed good chemical ability and high thermal stability up to 350 °C, and at 800 °C only 30% mass loss was observed. Their adsorption capacities for small gas molecules such as CO2 and CH4 was 8.9–9.0 wt % and 1.43–1.63 wt % at 273 K/1 bar, and for the toxic organic vapors n-hexane and benzene, 104–172 mg g−1 and 144–272 mg g−1 at 298 K/0.8 bar, respectively. These are comparable to many porous polymers with higher BET specific surface areas or after functionalization. These properties make the resulting frameworks efficient absorbent alternatives for small gas or toxic vapor capture, especially in harsh environments.

Abstract
Triptycene-based cyanate monomers 2,6,14-tricyanatotriptycene (TPC) and 2,6,14-tris(4-cyanatophenyl)triptycene (TPPC) that contain different numbers of benzene rings per molecule were synthesized, from which two microporous cyanate resins PCN-TPC and PCN-TPPC were prepared. Of interest is the observation that the two polymers have very similar porosity parameters, but PCN-TPPC uptakes considerably higher benzene (77.8 wt %) than PCN-TPC (17.6 wt %) at room temperature since the higher concentration of phenyl groups in PCN-TPPC enhances the π-π interaction with benzene molecules. Besides, the adsorption capacity of benzene in PCN-TPPC is dramatically 7 times as high as that of cyclohexane. Contrary to the adsorption of organic vapors, at 273 K and 1.0 bar, PCN-TPC with more heteroatoms in the network skeleton displays larger uptake of CO2 and higher CO2/N2 selectivity (16.4 wt %, 60) than those of PCN-TPPC (14.0 wt %, 39). The excellent and unique adsorption properties exhibit potential applications in the purification of small molecular organic hydrocarbons, e.g., separation of benzene from benzene/cyclohexane mixture as well as CO2 capture from flue gas. Moreover, the results are helpful for deeply understanding the effect of porous and chemical structures on the adsorption properties of organic hydrocarbons and CO2 gas.
