Abstract
In this study, we synthesized schiff base of pyrimidoazepine derivatives in high yields using multicomponent reactions of isatins, alkyl bromides, activated acetylenic compounds, guanidine and aldehydes in the presence of Fe3O4/CuO/ZnO@ Multi Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT) as a high performance catalyst in water at room temperature. The Fe3O4/CuO/ZnO@MWCNT synthesizes using Petasites hybridus rhizome water extract as a green media and moderate base. As well Fe3O4/CuO/ZnO@MWCNT magnetic nanocomposites show a good improvement in the yield of the product and displayed significant reusable activity. Investigation of antioxidant ability of synthesized compounds using radical trapping of diphenyl-picrylhydrazine and ferric reduction power experiment is another purpose in this research. Also, the antimicrobial activity of some synthesized compounds proved by employing the disk diffusion test on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. This procedure has some benefits such as short reaction time, product with excellent yields, simple catalyst and products separation.

Abstract
Bisphenol A is an oil-derived, large market volume chemical with a wide spectrum of applications in plastics, adhesives and thermal papers. However, bisphenol A is not considered safe due to its endocrine disrupting properties and reproductive toxicity. Several functional substitutes of bisphenol A have been proposed in the literature, produced from plant biomass. Unless otherwise specified, the present review covers the most significant contributions that appeared in the time span January 2015-August 2019, describing the sustainable catalytic synthesis of rigid diols from biomass derivatives. The focus is thereupon on heterogeneous catalysis, use of green solvents and mild conditions, cascade processes in one-pot, and continuous flow setups. More than 500 up-to-date references describe the various substitutes proposed and the catalytic methods for their manufacture, broken down according to the main biomass types from which they originate.

Abstract
Selective activation of "armed' and ''disarmed" glycal donors enabling the stereo-controlled glycosylations by employing Cu(ii)-catalyst as the promoter has been realized. The distinctive stereochemical outcome in the process is mainly influenced by the presence of diverse protecting groups on the donor and the solvent system employed. The protocol is compatible with a variety of aglycones including carbohydrates, amino acids, and natural products to access deoxy-glycosides and glycoconjugates with high α-anomeric selectivity. Notably, the synthetic practicality of the method is amply verified for the stereoselective assembling of trisaccharides comprising 2-deoxy components. Mechanistic studies involving deuterated experiments validate the syn-diastereoselective 1,2-addition of acceptors on the double bond of armed donors.

Abstract
Sustainable metal-encased (Ni-Co/Fe/Cu)@N-doped-C catalysts were prepared from bio-waste and used for the oxidative dehydrogenation reaction. A unique combination of bimetals, in situ N doping, and porous carbon surfaces resulted in the formation of the effective "three-in-one" catalysts. These N-doped graphene-like carbon shells with bimetals were synthesized via the complexation of metal salts with chitosan and the subsequent pyrolysis at 700 °C. A well-developed thin-layer structure with large lateral dimensions could be obtained by using Ni-Fe as the precursor. Importantly, the Ni-Fe@N-doped-C catalyst was found to be superior for the dehydrogenation of hydrazobenzene under additive/oxidant-free conditions compared to the conventional and other synthesized catalysts. Characterizations by TEM and XPS accompanied by BET analysis revealed that the enhanced catalytic properties of the catalysts arose from their bimetals and could be attributed to the graphitic shell structure and graphitic N species, respectively.

Abstract
Perfluorophenylboronic acid 1c catalyzes the direct stereoselective addition of alcohol nucleophiles to deactivated peracetylated d-galactal to give 2-deoxygalactosides in 55-88% yield with complete α-selectivity. The unprecedented results reported here also enable the synthesis of disaccharides containing the 2-deoxygalactose moiety directly from the deactivated peracetylated d-galactal. This convenient and metal-free glycosylation method works well with a wide range of alcohol nucleophiles as acceptors and tolerates a range of functional groups without the formation of the Ferrier byproduct and without the need for a large excess of nucleophiles or additives. The method is potentially useful for the synthesis of a variety of α-2-deoxygalactosides.

B(C6F5)3 enables the metal-free
unprecedented substrate-controlled direct α-stereoselective
synthesis of deoxyglycosides from glycals. 2,3-Unsaturated α-O-glycoside products are obtained with deactivated glycals
at 75 °C in the presence of the catalyst, while 2-deoxyglycosides
are formed using activated glycals that bear no leaving group at C-3
at lower temperatures. The reaction proceeds in good to excellent
yields via concomitant borane activation of glycal donor and nucleophile
acceptor. The method is exemplified with the synthesis of a series
of rare and biologically relevant glycoside analogues.

Abstract
Developing cost-effective approaches based on hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) has been the main tendency for low-abundance glycopeptides capture before LC-MS/MS analysis. Carbohydrates with outstanding biocompatibility and hydrophilicity are ubiquitous in the kingdoms of animal and plant and could be a wonderful choice as functional groups for glycopeptides enrichment. In this work, glucose-6-phosphate, as one of the indispensable cogs in pivotal metabolic wheels of life, was chosen as functionalized groups to be grafted onto the surface of Fe3O4 microspheres via one-step surface fabrication strategy. The acquired hydrophilic Fe3O4@G6P microspheres showed superior enrichment performance for glycopeptides with high sensitivity (0.5 fmol/μL) and high selectivity (1:100) and good repeatability (10 times at least). Furthermore, the Fe3O4@G6P microspheres also exhibited enrichment ability for glycopeptides in different biosamples. A total of 243 glycopeptides assigned to 92 glycoproteins and 183 glycopeptides corresponding to 74 different glycoproteins was identified from merely 2 μL of serum and saliva, respectively.

Abstract
Palladium(II) in combination with a monodentate phosphine ligand enables the unprecedented direct and α-stereoselective catalytic synthesis of deoxyglycosides from glycals. Initial mechanistic studies suggest that in the presence of N-phenyl-2-(di-tert-butylphosphino)pyrrole as the ligand, the reaction proceeds via an alkoxy palladium intermediate that increases the proton acidity and oxygen nucleophilicity of the alcohol. The method is demonstrated with a wide range of glycal donors and acceptors, including substrates bearing alkene functionalities.
