Abstract
Copper iodide (CuI) thin films were prepared on a glass substrate by a facile high pressure (HP)-PECVD method at room temperature. For this, CuI powder was dissolved in CH3 CN. The CuI vapor with plasma was investigated by Optical Emission Spectroscopic (OES) data for identifying the species in the plasma. The XRD study reveals the polycrystalline nature of the films. The SEM analyses indicate the homogeneity of the films. The EDS mapping confirms that the thin films mostly consisted of carbon followed by nitrogen, copper and iodine, respectively. The band gaps of CuI thin films were in the range of ~2.71-3.14 eV. The high transmittance and band gap engineering in HP-PECVD-synthesized CuI thin films indicates their potential use as window and hole transport layers in low cost solar cells.

Abstract
Four polysaccharides (chitosan, cellulose, starch, and pectin) were magnetized with magnetic iron oxide (Fe3O4) and then sulfonated (except pectin) with chlorosulfonic acid. The obtained solid acids were used as a catalyst in three-component reactions between N-substituted-2-formylpyrrole, hydroxylamine-hydrochloride, and β-keto esters for the synthesis of 4-(2-pyrrolyl) methylene-isoxazole-5-ones. The optimal catalyst system was selected and studied by IR, SEM, TEM and XRD methods. The diverse isoxazoline derivatives (obtained via a mild and simple approach) were also fully characterized by spectroscopic methods and screened for anti-cancer activities against HT-29 and MCF-7 colon and breast cancer and HEK 293 normal cells. The results revealed interesting anti-cancer activities. Four magnetic polysaccharides containing acidic groups were used as catalysts for the synthesis of 4-(2-pyrrolyl) methylene-isoxazole-5-ones. The products showed anti-cancer activities.![]()

Abstract
Wrinkled fibrous nanosilica (WFNS) which functionalized by ionic liquid modified Fe3O4 NPs and CuI salts has been synthesized and characterized with FE-SEM, TEM, FT-IR, FAAS, EDX, and, XRD, VSM, and BET-BJH analysis. This new and effective magnetic ceramic nanocatalyst has been applied towards rapid synthesis of N-sulfonylamidines using reaction of phenyl acetylene, substituted sulfonyl azide and various amines under solvent-free conditions in very short reaction time. Higher catalytic activity CuI/Fe3O4NPs@IL-DFNS in the reaction is because of special structure of DFNS and existence of ionic liquids on its pores which act as a robust anchors to the loaded various nano-particles. So, this lead to no leaching of them from the pore of the composite. Shorter reaction time, higher yield, recovery of the catalyst using an external magnet and its reusability for 8 series without noteworthy reduction in its activity are the advantages of newly synthetic catalyst toward efficient synthesis of N-sulfonylamidines.

Abstract
Widespread use of picric acid (PA) in chemical industries and deadly explosives poses dreadful impact on all living creatures as well as the natural environment and has raised global concerns that necessitate the development of fast and efficient sensing platforms. To address this issue, herein, we report a perylenediimide-peptide conjugate, PDI-1, for detection of PA in methanol. The probe displays typical aggregation caused quenching (ACQ) behaviour and exhibits a fluorescence "turn-off" sensory response towards PA which is unaffected by the presence of other interfering nitroaromatic compounds. The sensing mechanism involves PA induced aggregation of the probe into higher order tape like structures which leads to quenching of emission. The probe possesses a low detection limit of 5.6 nM or 1.28 ppb and a significantly high Stern-Volmer constant of 6.87×104 M-1 . It also exhibits conducting properties in the presence of PA vapours and thus represents a prospective candidate for vapour phase detection of PA. This is, to the best of our knowledge, the first example of a perylenediimide based probe that demonstrates extremely specific, selective and sensitive detection of PA and thus grasps the potential for application in practical scenarios.

Abstract
Herein, we describe an efficient copper-catalyzed coupling of sulfonamides with alkylamines to synthesize (E)-N-sulfonylformamidines. The reaction is accomplished under mild conditions without the use of a corrosive acid or base as an additive. It tolerates a broad scope of substrates and generates the products with exclusive (E)-stereoselectivity.

Abstract
This study reports the synthesis and characterization of a highly active catalyst based on chelated copper iodide on magnetic chitosan-salicylaldehyde Schiff base. This catalyst was successfully used for the three-component reaction of N-propargylphthalimide, tosylazide, and NH or OH containing nucleophiles to access new classes of N-sulfonylamidine or N-sulfonylimidate derivatives. The products, which were constructed via an in situ generated sulfonyl keteneimine intermediate, were obtained in good to excellent yields. Short reaction times, easy separation and reusability without significant loss of catalyst activity were found to be the notable features of this synthetic protocol.
