Abstract
Exploring a novel photocatalyst for catalytic oxidation of toluene is a sustainable strategy for energy conversion in times of an energy crisis. However, designing an effective photocatalyst for the conversion of toluene remains challenging. Herein, a novel organic monophosphonate-modified high nucleus Cu-incorporated polyoxotungstate, K8H33[{Cu0.5(H2O)4}{Cu2(O3PCH2COO)(1,4,9-α-P2W15O56)}]4·Cl·60H2O (1), has been intentionally synthesized by a self-assembly process utilizing conventional aqueous method. It reveals that 1 contains a polyanion of [{Cu0.5(H2O)}4{Cu2(O3PCH2COO)(1,4,9-α-P2W15O56)}]440- composed of four Dawson-type {1,4,9-α-P2W15} subunits, forming an oval-shaped structure and further connecting into a three-dimensional (3D) framework by lateral {Cu(H2O)4}2+. Interestingly, the trivacant {1,4,9-α-P2W15} subunits were observed in the organophosphonate acid-functionalized polyoxometalates for the first time. Notably, 1 exhibits a wonderful performance in catalytic oxidation of the recalcitrant C(sp3)-H bond of toluene to benzoic acid with a conversion as high as 97% under visible light utilizing O2 as an oxidant.

Abstract
The constant demand for eco-friendly methods of synthesizing complex organic compounds inspired researchers to design and develop modern, highly efficient heterogeneous catalytic systems. Herein, In-HCPCP metal-organic framework (SRMIST-1), a heterogeneous Lewis acid catalyst containing less toxic indium and eco-friendly robust cyclotriphosphazene and exhibiting notable chemical and thermal stability, durable catalytic activity, and exceptional reusability was produced through the reaction between indium(III) nitrate hydrate and hexakis(4-carboxylatophenoxy)-cyclotriphosphazene. In the SRMIST-1 structure, secondary building units {InO7} are assembled by a connection of η2- and η1-carboxylic oxo atoms from different HCPCP ligands, forming a three-dimensional network. The occurrence of regularly distributed In(III) sites in SRMIST-1 confers superior reactivity on the catalyst toward the synthesis of 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones and 3,4-dihydro-2H-1,2,4-benzothiadiazine-1,1-dioxides by the cyclization reaction of 2-aminobenzamides and 2-aminobenzenesulphonamides with aldehydes under optimized reaction conditions, respectively. The notable features of this method include broad functional group compatibility, low catalyst loading (1-5 mol %), mild reaction conditions, easy workup procedures, good to excellent reaction yields, ethanol as a green solvent, reusability of the catalyst (five cycles), and economic attractiveness, which is mainly due to sustainability of SRMIST-1 as a reusable green catalyst. Our findings demonstrate that the highly reactive and reusable green catalyst finds widespread applications in medicinal chemistry.

Cobalt isatin-Schiff-base derivative of MOF as a heterogeneous multifunctional bio-photocatalyst for sunlight-induced tandem air oxidation condensation process. Sci Rep 2023; 13:5115. Abstract
A sunlight-induced tandem air oxidation-condensation of alcohols with ortho-substituted anilines or malononitrile for the efficient synthesis of benz-imidazoles/-oxazoles/-thiazoles, or benzylidene malononitrile catalyzed by Co-isatin-Schiff-base-MIL-101(Fe) as a heterogeneous multifunctional bio-photocatalyst is reported. In these reactions, Co-isatin-Schiff-base-MIL-101(Fe) acts both as a photocatalyst, and a Lewis acid to catalyze the reaction of the in-situ formed aldehydes with o-substituted anilines or malononitrile. A significant decrease in the band gap energy and an increase in the characteristic emission of MIL-101(Fe) after functionalization with cobalt Schiff-base according to the DRS analysis and fluorescence spectrophotometry, respectively, indicate that the photocatalytic effectiveness of the catalyst is associated primarily to the synergetic influence of Fe-O cluster and Co-Schiff-base. EPR results obviously pointed out that Co-isatin-Schiff-base-MIL-101(Fe) is capable of creating 1O2 and O2⋅- as active oxygen species under visible light irradiation. Using an inexpensive catalyst, sunlight irradiation, air as a cost-effective and abundant oxidant, and a low amount of the catalyst with recoverability and durability in ethanol as a green solvent, make this methodology as an environmentally friendly process with energy-saving organic synthetic strategies. Furthermore, Co-isatin-Schiff-base-MIL-101(Fe) displays excellent photocatalytic antibacterial activity under sunlight irradiation against E. coli, S. aureus and S. pyogenes. Based on our knowledge, this is the first report of using a bio-photocatalyst for the synthesis of the target molecules.

Abstract
A porphyrin-based covalent organic framework (COF), namely Porph-UOZ-COF (UOZ stands for the University of Zabol), has been designed and prepared via the condensation reaction of 5,10,15,20-tetrakis-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)porphyrin (DHPP) with 1,4-benzenediboronic acid (DBBA), under the solvothermal condition. The solid was characterized by spectroscopic, microscopic, and powder X-ray diffraction techniques. The resultant multifunctional COF revealed an outstanding performance in catalyzing a one-pot tandem selective benzylic C-H photooxygenation/Knoevenagel condensation reaction in the absence of additives or metals under visible-LED-light irradiation. Notably, the catalytic activity of the COF was superior to individual organic counterparts and the COF was both stable and reusable for four consecutive runs. The present approach illustrates the potential of COFs as promising metal-free (photo) catalysts for the development of tandem reactions.

Abstract
A novel organodiphosphonate-based telluromolybdate cluster, (NH4)6Na3H13[TeMo10O37(CoMo2O6L)4]·11H2O [1; L = (O3P)2C(O)(CH2)3NH2], has been successfully synthesized by a simple one-pot aqueous reaction. Intriguingly, the [TeMo10O37]10- subunit with tetrahedral geometry of TeO4 is observed in the organophosphonate-functionalized polyoxometalates for the first time. Compound 1 was prepared in a buffer solution (pH = 5.5) with alendronic acid (Ale) and (NH4)6Mo7O24·4H2O as raw materials. The polyanion [TeMo10O37(CoMo2O6L)4]22- was constructed from four {Mo2O6L} subunits encapsulating an interesting Te-Mo heterometal subunit [TeMo10O37]10- through four CoO6 octahedra and has been fully characterized by routine techniques. In addition, compound 1, as a heterogeneous catalyst, shows good conversion (92%) and high selectivity (99%) for Knoevenagel condensation reaction.

Abstract
By introducing 4-amino-1,2,4-triazole (4-NH2-trz), three new polyoxovanadate-based metal-organic frameworks (PMOFs) [Ni3(4-NH2-trz)6][V6O18]·3H2O (1), [Co3(4-NH2-trz)6][V6O18]·3H2O (2) and [Cu3OH(4-NH2-trz)3H2O][VO3]5·H2O (3) have been synthesized and thoroughly characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SXRD), powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric (TG) analysis and elemental analysis (EA). Among them, PMOFs 1 and 2 had similar structures containing [V6O18]6- clusters; however, PMOF 3 was isolated as a structure containing a [VO3]55- cluster when the amount of the 4-NH2-trz ligand was reduced to half with the other synthesis conditions being the same as those of PMOFs 1 and 2 except for the transition-metal chlorides. Furthermore, the negative charges of polyoxovanadate [V6O18]6- and [VO3]55- anions were balanced by trinuclear complex cations [Ni3(4-NH2-trz)6]6- for 1, [Co3(4-NH2-trz)6]6- for 2 and [Cu3OH(4-NH2-trz)3H2O]5- for 3, respectively. PMOFs 1-3 were further used as heterogeneous catalysts in the Knoevenagel condensation under solvent-free conditions and showed high catalytic activity. PMOF 1 showed moderate catalytic activities in the oxidation of various aromatic alcohols using H2O2 as an oxidant. Moreover, PMOF 1 could be reused at least three times without losing its activity.
